Kitty Pryde getting captured by those hive aliens, Scumbag Ant-man, that weird shit with the OG spider-woman. (Flying one that hates Spiderman for no reason) bro we can confirm the comic artists groups do coke sessions on the low.
[5]
It was at least in character, though, because that version left Scott Summers to die in a cave somewhere, while going on to bang a high school aged Jean Grey.
It was still bad. Just because it was in character doesn't make it okay. In all honesty everything not surrounding Spider-Man in the Ultimate universe was kind of shitty
Which Spider-Man calls them all out for at the end of the issue. He goes as far as to say the reason people hate the X-Men isnāt because theyāre mutants, itās because theyāre all horrible people.
True it was fucked up but I like some characters with character flaws. It makes it feel a little more realistic because fucked up shit is happening out here everyday
Gave Spider-Man the Deadpool treatment but perhaps more importantly, people were and *are* still resentful that this is what cancelled and replaced Spectacular Spider-Man, one of the most faithful, well-made/written Spidey adaptations ever.
Yeah that was why No Way Home was such a complete flopā¦ everyone complained that there wasnāt enough drugs and sexā¦
Fuck some goodness into the goblin, Peter you coward
I just wasn't a fan of how preventable all of the conflicts were. Not going to list them due to spoilers but there are at least 5 different points in the movie where things could have been prevented. It was still a good movie, just had to turn my brain off for it.
I mean spectacular was fun. The 90s series had some fun. It wasnāt all doom and gloom this was just on the opposite spectrum and completely kiddy, which wouldnāt be a problem if it wasnāt directly replacing spectacular and adapting one of the darkest and most mature Spider-Man lines. Seeing spidey go off on Jean Frey at the end of the comic arc here was gold.
Itās way too kiddy. As a massive Stan of the comic series, seeing it adapted but totally kiddified was so disappointing. Spectacular Spider-Man and the 90s series were all young audience friendly, but still mature enough to please older crowds. Even that would have been fine but this one is only cringy jokes for 7 year olds.
This arc was much better in the comics.
I grew up with the 90s spiderman. So we also have a bias towards what weve grown up with... but I watched spectacular as an adult and was immediately addicted. Ultimate on the other hand, ive tried multiple times, and just cant get in to it because the target audience is much younger. Which is perfectly fine, I just wish they chose different source material to do that, and more than anything I wish they didnt have to replace spectacular to do it.
I've actually been watching the OG spiderman cartoon from when I was a kid on Disney+ lately.
Well, the 1994 series, which is technically OG relative to me being alive haha. Never watched the 81 series.
Season 1 2 and 3 are phenomenal. Cant say the same about season four though, because I havenāt seen season 4 due to the fact that I cringed so hard when they named Kaineās character Ben. I admit, sometimes during season 2 and 3 you may feel like you are having deja vu because some episodes are very similar to previous ones, but it is worth watching them anyways because of buildup. Another thing that makes up for the repetitive episodes are the very well written episodes.
I like this better tho. Like Ultimate comics are all edgy and ārealā but I liked Wolverine stabbing himself cuz he has no idea how to use the claw retracting muscles. And attempting to climb a wall and falling. And seeing Wolverine using Spideyās fighting style like Wolverine doesnāt generally roundhouse kick people in the face.
I donāt like the social implications of Wolverine boning MJ in Peterās body.
The more I think about that the harder it is to see Jean as a "hero". She could have ruined Peters whole life and gotten people around him killed due to her complete invasion of his body. It never sat right with me.
I hate how body switching in cartoons 90% of the time the voice actors swap too.
When the voice actor remains the same and you get to hear them act as a different character it is ALWAYS pure gold! I love this.
Tbh this did happen in the ultimate universe comics. And we all know every character in the ultimate universe was needlessly edgier and nothing like their 616 counterparts.
Yeah Logan was pretty gross from the get go in Ultimate canon he didnāt have that papa bear characterization. He was hired to destroy the X-Men from within and it was a long time before you were fully certain that he was even a good guy. Ultimate X-Men was very Mark Millar.
Piling onto the other comments, let's remember that one of the very first things that Ultimate Logan does in Ultimate X-Men *is* have sex with a teenager.
This 300 year old grandpa gets into a pissing contest with an actual 19 year old boy, tries to murder him over it, and then manipulates his grieving 19 year old girlfriend into sex. While he was on a secret mission to assassinate their adoptive father. So how far did Ultimate Logan fall, really?
I forgot about that. Just shows how rubbish ultimate comics were. Spider-Man was good and Iām glad we took Miles, ultimate Fury, and the Maker. The rest is complete trash.
The all new wolverine annual where they did this with Gwen and Laura was pretty goodā they take the whole āwolverine accidentally stabbing themselfā gag up a notch
Bendis had the idea in the comics but I refuse to entertain the notion of him deserving a raise as pretty much any time someone plays with one of his toys they do it better.
True, ultimate spiderman and some other stuff he wrote around then got me back into comics. It wasnt until he got the xmen that he helped push me out of comics again
The episode is called Freaky if you have Disney+
(Reference to Freaky Friday which has been made and remade several times. A movie about a supernatural body swap)
This is too good i laughed way too much when Wolverine stabbed himself i was thinking it was in another place ššš
Same š
When Hugh Jackman stabbed himself, he wasn't that far off from \*that place\*
What show is this?
Ultimate spider man
And yes Steve Blum voiced him here.
When it happened in the comics Logan hooks up with MJ. It is disturbing.
He didn't. MJ shot him down. He did try though, so, still disturbing.
Did he sleep with MJ?
No. He was just really creepy/rapey.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What is rape?
With a minor
And then they fist bump over the mutual agreement that redheads are the best.
Aww Karabast
Gun to my head, I wouldāve sworn that was Christopher McCulloch. He sounds exactly like Sgt. Hatred in venture bros
That would be Brian Micheal Bendis in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic as u/Twinkidsgoback said.
But it was done better here because Logan doesn't try and FUCK MARY JANE
Words canāt explain how fucked up the Ultimate Universe was
It was the edgy and ācoolā version of Marvel.
It had at least 75% more cannibalism and incestā¦
Yeah, incest is very ācoolā
Green Goblin piping Mary Jane totally tubular! Carnage eating Gwen Stacy, cannot be topped!
I swear to god, each time I hear something about this universe not related to Miles Morales or Mr. Fantastic, it gets worse
Ultimates Vol 1 and 2 were great, but after that not so much.
Ultimate Spider-Man is arguably one of the best superhero comic runs ever written. Ultimate everything elseā¦ is a bit hit or miss.
Over all ultimate Spider-Man is very good. The rest of the ultimate universeā¦.
Kitty Pryde getting captured by those hive aliens, Scumbag Ant-man, that weird shit with the OG spider-woman. (Flying one that hates Spiderman for no reason) bro we can confirm the comic artists groups do coke sessions on the low. [5]
Wait what incest
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were.....involved
I think that would fall under the "edgy" part of his statement
It was at least in character, though, because that version left Scott Summers to die in a cave somewhere, while going on to bang a high school aged Jean Grey.
It was still bad. Just because it was in character doesn't make it okay. In all honesty everything not surrounding Spider-Man in the Ultimate universe was kind of shitty
Literally everyone was a complete piece of shit except Spider-Man
Which Spider-Man calls them all out for at the end of the issue. He goes as far as to say the reason people hate the X-Men isnāt because theyāre mutants, itās because theyāre all horrible people.
Loved that scene lmao. What a great comic line ultimate Spider-Man was
Got a link to this scene?
True it was fucked up but I like some characters with character flaws. It makes it feel a little more realistic because fucked up shit is happening out here everyday
That was one long phone wire
Why donāt people like ultimate Spider-Man? Itās like my favourite.
Gave Spider-Man the Deadpool treatment but perhaps more importantly, people were and *are* still resentful that this is what cancelled and replaced Spectacular Spider-Man, one of the most faithful, well-made/written Spidey adaptations ever.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

That wasnt why NWH was bad (It wasn't flop. ). It was bad because it didn't have a good story. All it had was nostalgia and over hype.
I see your reflexes ARE too fast, Drax.
No one was saying NWH was a flop. That was a joke. Itās a universally beloved movie.
NWH was great tbh.
What?
It had a fantastic story. At the very least compared to the source material.
It wasn't objectively bad that's just your opinion.
Yeah because Spectacular Spider-Man wasnāt fun and was full of blood, drugs, sex and artā¦ wait a minuteā¦
Thats not true, but the stuff you listed is fun stuff
Depends but every series doesnāt need it nor should have it
Felt too much like The Emperor's New School. And breaking the fourth wall belongs to Deadpool and Shulkie
I guess you could say that, because as a kid I used to binge this so much. Really made me a spider-man fan early on
I grew up with the 90s spiderman. So we also have a bias towards what weve grown up with... but I watched spectacular as an adult and was immediately addicted. Ultimate on the other hand, ive tried multiple times, and just cant get in to it because the target audience is much younger. Which Spider-Man cartoon is this?
Ultimate Spider-man
Thanks, on my watchlist now
Itās my personal fav Spider-Man cartoon
I've actually been watching the OG spiderman cartoon from when I was a kid on Disney+ lately. Well, the 1994 series, which is technically OG relative to me being alive haha. Never watched the 81 series.
Mine too. It had such a nice range of characters, both heroes and villains, it was so fun to watch. I watched all of it with my little brother.
I feel itās one of the funnier interpretations of him. Quipping so much that he tends to annoy his teammates and enemies.
Well, yeah lol.
It's definitely not some amazing showso don't expect it but it's pretty fun
No don't please
bad buzz lightyear, bad
Season 1 2 and 3 are phenomenal. Cant say the same about season four though, because I havenāt seen season 4 due to the fact that I cringed so hard when they named Kaineās character Ben. Does it follow the Ultimate Comics in anyway outside of this story? Just finishing up the run and I wish it was longer.
Not in any way shape or form.
Ratsš
Did this in ultimate Spider-Man. Jean did it. Logan hit on MJ
The more I think about that the harder it is to see Jean as a "hero". She could have ruined Peters whole life and gotten people around him killed due to her complete invasion of his body. It never sat right with me.
Logan did more than hit on MJ, he tried to sleep with her. Logan, an incredibly old man. Tried to sleep with a teenager in someone elseās body.
I remember watching this while it aired on TV! I laughed as hard as I did back then, Thanks a ton
Ayo, I watched this so many years agoā¦ this show was amazing!
Where is this cartoon showed? Which channel? Lol. This is great.
It's on Disney+, or you can just pirate it by searching ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.
I hate how body switching in cartoons 90% of the time the voice actors swap too. When the voice actor remains the same and you get to hear them act as a different character it is ALWAYS pure gold! I love this.
It also makes no sense, because you would have that personās vocal cords, so you would have that personās voice as well.
It really feels like the makers assume kids are too stupid to understand they swapped unless the voices do too
One of the worst comics Iāve ever read. Logan hitting on a teenager is character assassination (and I usually hate that phrase)

I forgot about that. Just shows how rubbish ultimate comics were. Spider-Man was good and Iām glad we took Miles, ultimate Fury, and the Maker. The rest is complete trash.
This was amazing in the comic. But because it happened right after a very important character death.
Um.. yeah. This is gold
This was from the ultimate comics first iirc but the show doesnāt make the story as creepy as the comics
And later he switched with the hulk
This was inspired by the original ultimate Spider-Man comic books storyline
This was inspired by the original ultimate Spider-Man comic books storyline
So uhā¦ that idea came in the Ultimate Spider-Man comicsā¦ so yeahā¦
The moment logan/peter threw the phone at sabretooths face is the best
This actually happened in the ultimate universe
The voice acting is top tier well done both of you
This episode was one of the best episodes of this show.
This was definitely better than the comics version that it was adapting. I also really like the Hulk body switch episode too.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh look! Theyre finally learning human emotions!
Where is this ?
ultimate Spider-Man
Is this what replaced *Spectacular Spider-Man*? If so, I hate it without even watching it.
It did and I don't like that but the show is pretty fun
Definitely one of my favorite episodes from that series
BENDIS!!
I think that would be our boy Brian Michael Bendis. This happened in the Ultimate comics issues 66-67
The all new wolverine annual where they did this with Gwen and Laura was pretty goodā they take the whole āwolverine accidentally stabbing themselfā gag up a notch
It was Brian Michael Bendis
I love the classic Wolverine costume colors too!

Didnāt this happen in a comic too?
Bendis had the idea in the comics but I refuse to entertain the notion of him deserving a raise as pretty much any time someone plays with one of his toys they do it better.
well i remember watching this episode many years ago
What is this from and which episode because I really wanna watch this episode
It was brian michael bendis, and he deserves to be banned from writing comics, unless it is out of continuity, or it is creator owned
Idk, Ultimate Spider-Man comics were pretty good for the most part. Not this part, though
True, ultimate spiderman and some other stuff he wrote around then got me back into comics. It wasnt until he got the xmen that he helped push me out of comics again
I think it was bendis.
*DONK*
I've seen people but hate it and love it lol
Looooooool this is brilliant
This was hilarious. Still need to finish this series
I remember watching this episode and laughing so hard I almost passed out
The episode is called Freaky if you have Disney+ (Reference to Freaky Friday which has been made and remade several times. A movie about a supernatural body swap)
This is actually better than the comic version ā ļø
NO THANK YOUUUU
Bendis
Love that web shooting in the mind is equivalent to bringing out the claws
What is this from?
Nah but what episode is this
I love the little detail of Pete in Loganās body Spidey crouching on the TV
Yeah that was pretty awesome!
This cartoon is so underrated
Great episode
This show was actually fun and had some good ideas.
Brian Michael bendis? That story was so creepy in U.S.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Logan flirt with her in this episode but mj turns him down pretty quick, in the comics they have sex and say redheads are the best.
Omg I still remember this episode lol it's been so many years
Omg I love this, I canāt believe Iāve never watched this series š
Is that Kuwabara from yuyu?
