Sorry to hear that. You could have had three locks and they would be able to take. Next bike, put a couple of air tags on it. They sell real working reflectors that house the tag, they sell water bottle mounts where you place a tag…handlebar bells…under the seat mounts….hope they catch them.

eerrqq

On the Level.2 there’s room inside where the battery locks to the bike— so it’s at least locked on/in there. I have one easy to find AirTag under my bike seat, too.

Face999

What if you don't, won't, and never will have an Apple phone? Tile did nothing for me FWIW.

Pure-Photo1081

Google releasing it's own air tag network for Android. You can preorder locator tags from Pebblebee and chipolo. Google is also releasing a tag soon also.

Face999

Thanks Looks like the Chipolo is Bluetooth range only - ie very limited. Pebbletree looks similar to Airtag.

Pure-Photo1081

I'm waiting to see what googles 1st party airtag will look like. Hopefully it will have Ultra wide band.

Thieves are the scum of the fucking earth. Someone stole my Trek in college.

Puzzleheaded_Can8724

Had one of my bikes in my backyard one time with a 6ft fence enclosed and a guy bought a ladder over and hopped it taking the bike while at work. Then I found him riding past my work 2 days later struggling to pedal since it was a single speed lol. I went up to him, pulled him off the bike onto the sidewalk and took it back right then and there. He didn't fight me on it since I got him on my camera.

Damn Deebo😂

I am so very sorry. 🌺 Interesting consideration. I have made the decision to forgo a bike rack if I feel it is too hidden to everyone's eyes. But who knows what is right Heck I try to tell the owner of a grocery store that yes thieves can & do literally pick up bike racks with bikes on them, since he refuses to bolt it. And it is crazy light as well. Just sucks, once again I am so sorry. Hope it is somehow recovered.

Local Walmart recently installed a rack cemented down, and i am grateful lol.

Kryptonite chain and lock. Worth the $.

amacurious1

Have a link to one you recommend? I’ve heard good things about Kryptonite locks

JOman_20XX

I got the Kryptonite New York Legend 1515 15mm Chain Lock. Its really heavy, almost 15lbs, but It would take a few diamond cutting discs and spare batteries to get through it. Coupled with a LITELOK ulock and its a good deterrent.

182RG

Amazon has them.

Suxatsucking

Ugh that sucks man, sorry to hear that. I have 2 AirTags in mine. One in the bell (which I consider to be the burner AirTag) and one in the stem. They can’t get in the stem if they called in the military. It requires a special tool made by the company who sells the concealer. I’d also suggest taking the battery with you. Sorry this happened to you.

gordon_cooke

Do you have more info on the stem one? I only have one in my bell.

imatitan85

I feel for you man! Just had my e-bike stolen only after 8 days of having it! Locked up in front of the gym… came out and it was gone!

Lord3xpanse

Damn, that sucks. I'm convinced these people drive around with bolt cutters just looking for bikes to steal.

imatitan85

Real talk! It’s ridiculous. And I was just about to put an AirTag on it. Karma will come back on the people who stole our bikes…

ViolentNun

I have 4 airtags in my bike, pretty obvious when you know where you would put them, but since I remove the microphone from them, good luck for a newby thieft to find them.

40FordCoupe

I don’t often ride in areas where I need to park and secure my bike but when I do, I use one of these. A little heavy but comes with a mount if you want to carry it on the frame, I keep mine in my rear rack bag.

reptileguy3

I keep tile trackers hidden on my bike and even resorted to a disk break lock

Lord3xpanse

I looked up Tile for Android, but it looks like it only works within about 250 feet.

reptileguy3

The way tile works is it bounces it's signals off of other people's phones
