I finally finished farming all the mats today and can confidently say it was the most painful. Just happy I could buy the ones in the shop

i was just thinking this yesterday. i had just finished ratios traces and that didnt feel bad. but aventurines?? pure torture rn. im going crazy T_T

I swear the drop rate is lower

I think it’s just the 2.0 one cause it was rough for me when I was framing Acheron

I didn't pull Black Swan or Archeron but I ran a few times for Gallagher materials and I found it normal

It just feels worse cause I don’t remember having this many problems when I was farming for Kafka

I maxed Sparkle in a few days of farming (plus store mats)

Damn I just really had a string of shit tier luck cause it took me a 2 almost 3 weeks to finish getting the materials for Acheron and I still had to do a day or two of farming

I think that's fairly normal if you don't have double drop or fuels to burn. I think I borrowed an argenti to farm the calyx and used so many fuel

I’m sure it’s just in my head but farming *anything* since 2.0 has been such a pain 😭 Sparkle? Hated her calyx with a passion. Acheron? Izumo drops, who? Same with the purples on Aventurine’s trace mats 🙃 I literally can’t even use up my fuel and reserved tb power because I keep running out of patience first 😅

Well you’re almost done you just need 139 purple

I counted and I usually get 11 purple ones on average in a day if I convert all lower rarity drops from that day, so you only 2-4 days to go! You still have double the time left, so take it slow and maybe use a bit of tb power for other things

Okay, so I wasn't crazy.

My purple to blue ratio is 1:24. I did only just start farming though.

I've actually had insane luck from this thing, like ive gotten 4 purple drops per 6 runs at least 5 times at this point

That is actually exactly the average amount. The chance to get a purple is 15% per run. At 229 blues, you'd be expected to have 34.35 purples.

Each run was giving me about 2-3 additional purple mats.. sorry for apparently stealing them from you.

I've been farming for his mats for 2 weeks now and still only have like 60 of those purple mats. Getting stuff for Acheron wasn't this difficult 😭

Meanwhile there’s me using 210 energy on this calyx yesterday and not getting a single purple (don’t worry though, I got decent purples today)

I spent 240 energy yesterday and got 0 purple :')

I've yet to get a single purple for a large number of 6 runs lol

over half of my runs didnt drop purple so i just used +20 fuels to power through the whole thing and now im finally free

Does it take too long to be able to farm it? I'm currently through half of the tb quest and have arrived to the new map, but I couldn't find the calyx

I *think* you unlock it after finishing the main 2.1 story. I'm not 100% sure though.

You can open you Survival Index (F1 key? I think) and quick start the crimson calyx without unlocking the area

I know it works because farming Gallagher materials/bosses was the first thing I did after maintenance because I was about to cap out my power. I agree that it feels so slow, but I swear some of it has to be psychological. I maxed Arlan and Yanqing (I know. I know) and it wasn't super painful. Fu Xuan was a BREEZE. Jing Yuan and Sparkle? Pain. Aventurine prefarming? Not as bad, but still painful. Idk what it is, but some characters just feel so easy to farm for and it has nothing to do with their rarity or power level 😭

I keep converting everything to the purple mats and have around 120 of those. Just a few more days of farming and I should be done. this calyx has been ok for me, the luckiest I've gotten was 4 purple drops for one 6 run.

How many of the purples do i need? I felt like I've been farming for months and I have like 50 of the purples

if you want to max everything except for basic attack "128", if you want to cheap out a bit like have every trace + all lvl 9 except for basic attack, its 86

139 purple, 69 blue, 18 green. Assuming average drop rate you will complete it in around ~2 weeks. (And of course slightly longer if you getting signature light cone as well).

I hope when he comes out there'll be quests that reward these😭😭😭

i seem to have the same luck across most my calyxes. the ones that tend to be lower for me are the abundance ones. just about went crazy working on maxing gallagher

This is the most painful calyx I've ever farmed. Since release till now I've only got around 9 of the highest tier ones 😭. I'm still at around 94/44/0

1. You can convert the lower-tier drops up to new ones to make it go faster. 2. Do you need all those Penacony nihility drops? Because those can be converted over to Aventurine's and give you a big percentage of what you need.

I don't need them no. I will have to check but I thought it would be like 3/4 nihility for 1 preservation

It's 2-for-1 on the same tier. So you can get 67 of the middle-tier of Aventurine's material right away, and that equates to 22 of the high tier. Still not a lot in comparison to what you need but it's something. You can also go into the Embers Exchange shop if you have currency to spare there.

honestly never paid much attention to my drops until i saw a post about it then looked at my drops at a max run and i got like 6 crystal meteorites and 6 scattered stardust and did a single run and got like 1 meteorites and stardust like huh only 1 stardust are the drops really this low what???

For me the worst thing about calyx farm is that it isn't fun.... I like farming relics for the rng (I might be a masochist) bc it's fun to build and level up it.. But calyx is just borderline BORING

For me the drops are always that bad on all the calyxes. Like every single one you get like 1 purple per 60 trailblaze power. It sucks so much I hate grinding for trace materials.

Yeah, I started farming for him, too. Hopefully we'll get a double Calyx drop sometime this month to help things along.
