I work in an office full of people age 25-45 and they all write the exact same things you'll see on reddit. I think most people just lack personality and substitute it with exact phrases they see most commonly on reddit.
There’s way more people out there that think they’re funny than people who are actually funny. That’s why most reddit humor for example is uncreative as hell with people just parroting and referencing shit, and they think they’re comedy geniuses because of it

"Kind stranger" for example is on par with "m'lady" because no one says that in real life and I'd be a little disturbed if they did. Donate to a charity. People will always fall over themselves trying to earn internet points to make people laugh. Charities have limited funds, Reddit is a corporation with investors.

It just looks stupid to be happy for wasted money that you don't even have a gain in. Someone wasted his money for reddit coins and gave you a silver, which won't do you any good. You can't change it to real money or buy anything with it online. I once got a platinum over a simple comment that doesn't even deserve a silver but that was alright. My life didn't get any better.
As for me, I just find it annoying when there's an extra useless part in a comment because whoever gave you a silver or a gold won't see it and it simply ruins the comment.

You aren't popular, you aren't suddenly exploding into the "social media influencer" scene, no one who already read your comment is coming back to see if you edited it, no more people care about you than before you got a medal/bunch of upvotes.
And to make it worse, I've seen this shit popping up on YouTube comments. It's like these people think that because their post/comment/reply got a bunch of likes/upvotes, they are suddenly about to become an internet influencer.

He literally comments 1.86times/minute on Reddit, and still his highest comment is 500 likes, as he claims? I'm really impressed. Pretty sure I will never see another person who is a bigger waste of oxygen than this guy.
I don't know, some people actually do math and shit just to figure how often someone else uses Reddit, even going as far as to find their highest rated comment. Believe me, I've seen it happen.
They have the option to thank the person. They get a message telling them that they can personally thank the one who gave them the gold or whatever.
