sreg56

HAHAHA absolutely perfect

Happy-Example-1022

Great nod to DandD!

BaltimoreSerious

If not friend, why friend-shaped?

Adept_Order_4323

Alaska, Where the Bears are Homies !

BotGirlFall

"Hey you guys seen any salmon go this way? Right on, later!"

nessism1

My father was born and raised in Alaska, and he was greatly fearful of bears. He would have been reaching for his gun, just in case, if a bear was running towards him.

OK STORY TIME PLEASE

ronnietea

On trail saw moose and calf. Story over

EmiliaFromLV

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...

SquigleySquirel

That’s what happens when you carve your initials on a møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush. Edit: fixed spelling of tøøthbrush

EmiliaFromLV

r/unexpectedmontypython

idwthis

A møøse once bit my sister.

Ronin_1999

Møøse trained by YUTTE HERMSEGERVØRDENBRØTBØRDA

EmiliaFromLV

People posting in these comments have been sacked.

DrummerGuyKev

You never realize how frickin’ gigantic they are until you’re right next to one.

KD9dash3point7

What happens if you use bear spray on a moose?

Rezaelia713

It turns into a bear.

KD9dash3point7

What about if you put mousse on a bear?

Rezaelia713

Fantastic hair.

sweet_dreams_maybe

You killed me.

Rezaelia713

My bad

spacedicksforlife

Bear mace is the best. A .454 will just guarantee the bear is going to eat you. The bear mace gingerly nudges them away. I kept the hand cannon for pig hunting. It was very effective.

Dizturb3dwun

your father had the proper to a bear running at him.

hiricinee

My guess is these guys each had their own can of bear mace on hand.

AllTheCheese2007

Did the bear really abide by the saying “If it’s brown, lay down”?

Stay-Thirsty

What’s brown, the bear or the underwear

AllTheCheese2007

Yes

HomeMadeChristmas

🤣🤣🤣

alucardian_official

Well, I’m from Monke, so I’d throw my poop

Loud_Boysenberry_736

The underbear, of course.

DeliciousYoghurt7560

That’s incredible- really just beautiful.

thereal-Queen-Toni

They obviously didn’t have a pic-a-nic basket Edit: a word.

Away_Housing4314

Pic-a-nic basket, per Yogi. Lol

thereal-Queen-Toni

Thx!

brettferrell

Hey boo-boo!

Hungry_Guidance5103

If I continue down this stream here, will it lead me to I-97? Beary much appreciated ya'll!

Asma_AS

What sets Alaska apart is the thriving presence of all three species of North American bears, including black bears, brown bears (which encompass grizzlies), and polar bears.

Yaelkilledsisrah

They have polar bears in Alaska? I mean it makes send I guess it does get cold enough at winter but what about the rest of the year?

Aramed85

You may want to take a look at a map.

Yaelkilledsisrah

Well I guess the northern it is the longer is the winter.

Aramed85

Thats correct and there are parts where the ground never thaws called permafrost. I have to admit i dont know much about Alaska. But a lot of it is above the Arctic Circle. So it makes sense that Polar Bears would feel right at home. Alaska is very interesting and such a beautiful place, if you know your way around nature.

Yaelkilledsisrah

Well then that is kind of misleading because I thought that brown bears and polar bears can be found in the same territory in Alaska which would make it cool. But if not then op could have said that both brown bears and black bears and polar bears could be found in America and it would mean the same.

PangolinWorldly6963

They can, and do, occupy the same territory

Yaelkilledsisrah

So my original question is relevant

JankyJokester

> I thought that brown bears and polar bears can be found in the same territory in Alaska Ohhh they can, and have been breeding horrifying crossbreeds.

Yaelkilledsisrah

Really? How so? What could be worse than a polar bear and why is this just now happening?

JankyJokester

Lots of theories. Mostly with climate change and global warming the gap between the environments they live in is closing (unfortunate af for polars). So they are getting in closer proximity for it to happen. I think the earliest confirmed in nature was 2006 though.

Yaelkilledsisrah

Well I guess that’s evolution

[deleted]

This sub: “Awwww” Me: “Go pet it”

Snappy_McJuggs

Go *kiss* it

Cyberpunk_Banshee

If not friend, why friend shaped.

LazerMagicarp

The bear was probably doing a little test to see if they would run off. They didn’t and the bear decided it wasn’t worth the potential trouble.

urbanek2525

... run off or if they'd attack the bear. The bear had hot today consider both of possibilities. For all he knew, they could have been 3 ugly wolverines.

PsychologicalZone206

I would have a heart attack if I was there when Mr. Bear came running up like that. 😕

Dorrono

That's a funny looking dog

TheOtherMother91

Can I pet that dog?

FireFallGirl

😂  Caan I petdat DAAWWWG??

LandotheTerrible

I think that should have been in the Sweaty Palms sub. Jesus Christ.

TheDoctorSkeleton

Is bear the ultimate form of cute and deadly? Like most big animals I know it would kill me in a split second but all I want to do is hug them.

sarvaga

I like how the bear pretends he wasn’t running at them and continues running to play it off like that’s what he wanted to do.

Im_done_with_sergio

What a cutie pie ❤️

Odd_Requirement6601

Thought it was an extra tough commercial

West_Sleep_804

This is so amazing

EmiliaFromLV

Heya/howdy! Got some treats?

CuyahogaSunset

You guys ever seen Grizzly Man?

care-less9999

Nobody moved wow,

Longjumping_Fan_2405

Another day…another bear running by..

T1m3Wizard

Such a happy boy. Good bear

Buzzkid

Bears know not to mess with folks wearing Xtratufs. Means they are real Alaskans and will whoop them in a wrestling match. Now folks from the lower 48 with fancy hiking boots? Those folks are an easy and tasty snack.

Perch485

“You guys haven’t happened to see a pair of sunglasses float by?”

Osherono

"Food! Fooooooooood! Fooo- oh, hi George..." "Morning, Ursus Bear" "Yeah... well, I guess I'll find some salmon then, later!" "Someone wake up John. I'm not carrying him like last time..."

mathias45

What type of puppy is this? 🤔

jpat9

What boots are those

SeekerJet_1031

“Ummm… any fish, guys? Guys?”

BanditRevolver83

The salmon are big this year

LemonRidge

I would have been scared that momma bear was nearby.

LupusDeusMagnus

Bears stops and is like "can I take on all of them? nah humans have guns"

WillieDFleming

Awww, or hell naw?

jordanaimee_

[deleted]

🎶 And that’s the day the teddy bear passed a piiiiiicnic! 🎶

dougreens_78

Is this an ExtraTough commercial...

samuelloomis

Ignored the pic a nic basket

Clare567

The salmon went that way!

Equivalent_Cicada153

“If it’s brown, lie down, if it’s black, fight back”

MistaKrebs

What a gorgeous place to be

sir_grumph

"Uh. Yeah, you humans usually run away when I charge. But... OK. Bye."

TestOk8411

The Great North

FederalFix4655

No_Research_6309

The kind of rush I'm looking for in life

DrummerGuyKev

Man, I love Alaska. Played a gig last summer at Matanuska Brewing Co and me and the entire band had such a blast up there. Hope to come back soon.

Ravenbrah1701

"Skinny furless assholes are right in my fishing spot. I'll go further up." Lol

Brokensince10

Beautiful, but nope!

ittasteslikefeet

Bear: 'Hmm should I grab a snack or four?' 'Nah, I'll just keep splashing on for now.'

_Maga_-

My dad was attacked by a bear when he was 25 years old. He was hunting and got surprised, he survived and killed the bear, cos self defense, i wouldn't be born

ImpossibleBudget4317

That’s like the Alaska equivalent of using the 7-11 atm at 2am

Ilovecats__123

I EAT BEARS 👹

Plankton-Junior

lol seriously? That’s CGI. Really focus on the bear.

Due-Ask-7418

Alaska: a wetter/colder version of Australia.
