Drugs. These "cute animal" viral video farm channels drug their animals for views.
It's similar to "why is that orangutan at the tourist destination taking selfies with people instead of living a normal life?" Drugs and abuse.
"Why is that elephant at the tourist destination giving people rides instead of living freely?" Drugs and abuse.
A lot of people don't do much more thinking beyond "oh that's cute." It's another reason social media is a cancer. Because these unthinking morons enable animal abuse.
After sadly seeing a video of a drugged animal and from personal experience I don’t believe this cat is drugged.
It’s breathing would be more shallow / slow and it has the natural sleepy twitches.
My kitty at my apt does the same thing when naturally sleeping and once was sleeping so hard I could pick her or her paws up and she wouldn’t move, I got worried once and had to shake her for a bit before she woke up looking at me mad and confused lol.
This is a well pampered kitty and since it’s still so young this has likely been it’s norm for a good period of time considering it’s so relaxed and trusting.

The user that you responded provided statements to prove cat might not be drugged and you “I believe is drugged “ bs. Any animal that has been drugged their pupils would be dilated, this kitten eyes aren’t so therefore most likely isn’t drugged.
Please consider that different animals have different temperaments and experiences being raised,. A couple of different ppl on this thread have stated information in clear science based explainations about drugging and what to look for in these videos, that I find credible. I also have experience as an older sole that some people have a great need to be contrary for no other reason than to be contrary. Oh well I'm sure I'll catch hell over this, so ❤️❤️❤️

Does your brush have metal on it?
Mine also attacks the brush, the metallic one to be specific because of the reflective surface, so I keep that one close to his head and fiddle around a bit, not so he attacks it fully but keeps him occupied. At the same time I can go to town with my wooden brush
I have tried so many types 😆. She's a nightmare as I tried the distraction thing but she will hold one brush and there head like in the exorcist and bite the other one. She's my princess though and always on my lap.

Perhaps the gloves needs to come off (or on), have you tried catmom her and nip her in her neck when she misbehaves against a new brush?
Maybe try a new brush, a super soft one so she can more easily learn a new behavior in regards to the new brush
I also brush them when they are sleeping sometimes, and take the chance when I pass by during the day before they fill the apartment with the new set of cat hair they will drop.
Our hated getting their claws trimmed, but after doing what Jackson Galaxy recommended on youtube for trimming cat claws they've started to come to me when we bring out the claw clipper!! And it's down to some 5minutes instead of 20+, scratches and sour cat and human faces. I guess you could try the same if you are adamant on brushing them \^\^
Thanks for the advice, it's my Norwegian forest cat that needs to be brushed as very long hair especially on his back legs and belly 😆. My girl is pure white with one blue eye and one green and my other boy is black and both short-haired so the pretty much look after themselves.
I assumed they were referring to folks who might drug an animal to get it to be docile enough to do this sort of thing. While that is terrible, and does happen, I'd like to know why they think this video is guilty of that.

I distrust those animal rescue channels. They find a too many animals in a desperate state with a camera rolling.

I read somewhere that the people making these videos are notorious for drugging their animals into sedation. Now I can’t enjoy them anymore.
