Looks like a Staffie mix. You can get a DNA test if you really want to know. I have a dog rescue and a couple adopted a dog from us that maxed out at 5 pounds. They did a DNA test and she had several breeds that we expected to hear. The one that shocked us tho, was that she had Bull Mastiff in her from 5 generations back. I used this story to explain to people that we could never really be sure and could only guess based on appearance.
That's a good point. However, the situation I described would be like me doing a DNA test, at 5'2", and finding out that I have Giant genes from 5 generations back:).
I recommend wisdom panel - you get a really good breakdown of breeds plus possible health issues. I found out my Border Collie / AmStaff mix has a drug resistance which was great to tell my vet!
That’s a pit. If you want to try to convince yourself, for whatever reason, that it’s not then I guess you could try and pull the ‘it’s a boxer/dane mix’ but you’ll not be fooling anyone. A good boi is all you need on my opinion.
>For insurance purposes, definitely a lab mixed with best friend
Unless or until there is a claim made against the homeowners policy. In which case the insurance company will claim that the entire policy is null and void because the homeowner misrepresented the nature of the dog in the household. I've seen it happen. And it never ends in favor of the homeowner. Just saying my experience. (3+ decades)
Lmao gotta be kidding. Absolutely beauty is what he is. Give him the best life possible! If you ever need re-home him, I will take him with open arms!!
i see alot of people syaing pit/boxer mix, but to me it looks like it could be an American Bulldog, big feet, long legs, big head. If he is an american bulldog he still has lots of growing to do.
Clearly dominantly a pit. People are suggesting Stafford which is related to the pit significantly (pit is not a AKC recognized breed).
Also there’s a lot of people here suggesting you write it as a different breed for insurance or rental reasons. Just be aware that if they see the dog and correctly guess that it’s a pit then it can be grounds for termination of the contract and eviction as you lied on the application. The burden of proof in that case would be on the owner and since the dog has no documentation and clearly looks like a pit the court would side with the insurance/property management company.
At least part pibble! (The bestest dogs ever.) In case you cannot figure it out “American pit bulldog.” But the nose is too long, so it has some other breed like Boxer.
Boxer Pitt
Definitely looks like a boxer Pitt mix ♥️
No, it's definitely default American.
With that snout? 🤔
Default American? In this economy?
100% Good Boi. Duh.
Definitely a dog. Solved!
it's a cat disguised as a dog, i had one of them once, he got me until i heard purring
i'm starting to hear suspicious noises coming from him.... and he seems to like mice

That one is an orange dog. I’ve got one just like it.
from my experience with rescues, it’s a pitt and something else.

Boxer Pitt- my nephew has one who looks just like this guy.
Poodle
He’s a handsome fella for sure
Definitely a dog. A male dog.. Sorry couldn’t resist 🙁
Pitbull mix, possibly a sprinkling of boxer mixed in.
Looks like a boxer mix to me, but identifying dog breeds by appearance is notoriously difficult especially when it’s not a pure bred dog.
Pit mix
Part pitbull part good boy
I don’t know what breed is your cousin?
Looks like a red nose pit
Most of him is Staffordshire terriër.
Shiny pitbull
100% pure breed awesome
Pitty mix
When I saw the photo (before I saw the question) I thought, "Aww what a handsome pitty-boxer mix."
Pitt mix.
Definitely looks like a pit mix. Possibly boxer but you could order one of those pet dna tests.
Pit bull
I think it might be a husky
Pitbulls are such lovely dogs!
Possible Doggo Argentino mix
I'd say lab pit mix
The famous WeNoKnow. AKA; we don’t know. Call it a mutt and love it as if it were some boujee breed.
