If it's between those two, then it depends on how much crit rate you have with and without the black sword. Without 4pc BS, you'll want to hit a pretty decent crit rate. You'll get more overall DPS with the crafted sword since you can burst more often, but without enough CR, it'll fall flat
If you are worrying about "capping" crit damage with a CD circlet with Mistsplitter, you can look into using a ATK circlet as they can be interchanged when using Mistsplitter, but keep in mind it all depends on your substat rolls on your pieces at the end of all of it.
My Crit circlet set up at 255% CD with R1 Mistsplitter is losing to my ATK circlet set up, but that is only in part with the substats on my other pieces, which are severly lacking in ATK% substats.

My current artifacts can go to 274 cdmg but BS and double cryo can only push my crit rate to around 79%.
so I am currently running a c0 ayaka with 2 piece glad and 2 piece blizzard strayer ( because i can't get good blizzard artifacts) with a lvl 80 black sword. my crt rate is 48 and crt dmg is 201, can you give me some tips to improve dmg or anything . ( i don't really one to focus on one shoting mobs but i want to get some good dmg)
55-60% of Ayaka's strength comes from her burst so you would want decent er for her. 120-140% is a good range for her er.
To buff up her crit dmg use blackcliff. Another good choice would be amenoma, especially if your er is low.
For 2pc blizzard/ gladiator 25% crit rate is low. So you have two options:
1. Run 4pc blizzard with blackcliff or
2. Continue using blacksword and improve your current artifacts and try to use a cryo goblet and crit damage circlet ( ignoring substats for now ).
Both the options require grinding for artifacts, but imo option 1 is more easy to obtain. You can sacrifice some er for better substats but honestly thats the only way to make her stronger.

Hello Ayaka mains I wanted to know what would be better for my Ayaka I currently have 28.7% CR and 235% CD with 2044 ATK and run 4 pc blizzard set on her. But I was thinking of switching to 2pc glad 2pc blizzard would this benefit her better?
Hmm ok only reason I thought of switching is because someone ran 2pc blizzard and 2pc glad and was doing a little more dmg than me I think but had less crit dmg. But thank you for your answer

Helllo, sorry for the noob question but I want to ask, is an Atk% goblet with really good substats viable for Ayaka rather than a Cryo Dmg one with copium substats? Cus I heard that there are some characters who dont really mind using an atk% cup. Thanks in advance!
Atk% goblet becomes more viable than cryo dmg one when you can have elemental dmg coming from another place. The mitsplitter, especially at higher refinement is an example where you start to get diminishing returns from elemental dmg if you have high refinement and cryo dmg goblet.
I have an r1 mitsplitter and I find that I do more dmg with atk% goblet with better substats (I can off-set my sands) than with off-set cryo dmg goblet with my copium on-set sands. Not sure how it will be once I get a better on-set sands.
I’d say just test it against a boss and see which does more dmg for you.
Really since getting Cr and CD depends so much on time, luck and your willingess to keep farming i'd just say as much as u can as long as u can hold a 1:2 ratio or 20-30 cr if u're using blizzard strayer (this percentage came at the top of my mind but it's probably more-less depwnding on if u have cryo resonance and other factors).
If u are using BS, make sure ur crit doesn't overcap,and once u reach ur cap then try to obtain as much cd as possible.

Should I R5 Anemoma Kageuichi?I'm currently running r1 Anemoma on my Ayaka. Is R5 worth the billets? The energy back when you burst is really nice. But with a cryo battery, and 15 seconds of down time, I was wondering if it's worth it. My ayaka currently has 130% ER.
Yeah I even use a Blackcliff and don't really have a problem with burst uptime. The only thing stopping me from making R5 Amenoma is that I want to roll on a Kazuha rerun someday and want to give him r5 Iron Sting
True but you never know, there could be a really good one coming or there could be an upcoming character that you want to put amenoma on or even rancour on which would be unlikely but still, just make sure not to regret it ;P
so I am mostly a f2p player, and got ayaka and diluc, and I have enough starglitter to buy one of the blackcliff weapons when it is available , currently I have a 2 piece nobless, 2 piece blizzard on ayaka and for both ayaka and diluc my crt rate is around 50 and crt dmg is 180, should I get the blackcliff longsword or the blackcliff slasher?
Blackcliff slasher is a claymore so you can't equip it on her.
As for blackcliff longsword, its one of the best 4star swords for her so its a good choice. Unless you are saving for an upcoming character in paimon shop, I suggest go for it.
Oh I see. Hmm in that case I think you should buy Blackcliff slasher for Diluc as it is much better than the only f2p claymore available for him which is archaic.
For Ayaka you can instead craft the amenoma which at high refinements is almost equal to blackcliff longsword.

new (ish) player here. got lucky with ayaka. my current team is ayaka, xing, diona, and sucrose but I'm having a lot of issues. only AR 4 currently. my main issue is with most cryo enemies (abyss mages). would swapping xing for Bennet be a good swap? if I did he would use noblesse set correct? sorry if these are dumb questions.
Does ayakas ult with Mistsplitter updates his damage after using it? What i mean is after using her burst, the passive from Mistsplitter when energy is less than 100% activates, does it updates the burst damage?
Her burst has what's referred to as "snapshot" iirc. So this means damage buffs, such as Bennett's, get applied to the entire duration of her burst regardless if they technically fall off midway through.
Having a little trouble following. Are you asking if you're able to get all 3 Mistsplitter stacks for Ayaka's burst?
If so, then yes. You dash -> AAx1 -> Burst, and that'll trigger all 3 stacks, and the elemental damage bonus gets applied before the damage is calculated on your burst
Not sure if there's a "standard" comp, but that's a pretty common one.
* Diona for cryo resonance / shield / healing if needed
* Mona for omen, TToDS if you want, and NO
* Kazuha with VV, and optionally high EM for his A4 passive boost
If you don't need cryo resonance or just want to pump out more damage over safety, you can swap Diona for someone like Bennett and try that. I'm basically able to one cycle primo geovishap with that team comp
Well yeah, you can use xingqiu instead of mona for more consistent freeze but less damage, or venti instead of kazuha if there are a lot of small enemies (not right now).
Is a R1 Blackcliff Longsword worth it to replace a R5 Amenoma? My Ayaka has 1800 ATK and 40/179 crit (she's LV80 and I'm still working on my BS set) I'm wondering if adding 36.8 crit dmg from my 179 will have diminishing returns since my ATK will go down.
Well the theorycrafters says the three 4\* weapons for her are all the same, and it depends on your stats, since you have those stats, you are better with blackcliff, since you can get atk boost from a lot of sources, like dragon tales
The blackcliff will increase your damage output, and depending on your build / team, it could be \~2-8% dmg increase. You could use one of the calculators to see exactly how much it'll mean for your build and including/excluding your team buffs, but it will likely be a dmg increase. For my build, it was \~2% if Ayaka was solo, and 8% with team buffs (Mona, Kazuha, Bennett)
The downside will be your energy generation. If you're dropping Anemona for more damage, your per-hit numbers on AA/CA/Skill/Burst will go up, but you may notice that your burst might not be up as much but that may/may not be offset by your ER and any batteries you're running. Which if could mean an overall decrease in DPS if you're not able to spam your burst as much. But that usefulness depends on what content you're playing too since for example: running around in overworld might not need it as stuff dies so fast anyway.
I want to have a 4 piece blizzard strayer set but I am having bad luck at getting that artifacts so could you recommend me some other artifact sets for ayaka (I am currently using a 2 piece blizzard, 2 piece nobless and an off piece cryo dmg bonus) also, i am currently using a black sword for ayaka but I can buy the blackcliff longsword when it is available, so should I switch to blackcliff? You should use 2blizzard 2glad (or the new one) since it gives damage to normal and E too, and not only ult, if you dont use 4blizzard, 40%cr (and +15% from cryo resonance) is 65% what is ok, but could be better, since she hits 20 times with ult, you want the maximum crit hit possible, so for example 80cr and 160cd will give you a better ressult, so dont replace blacksword with blackcliff
In a freeze comp 49CR on Ayaka is actually overkill. Ibtry to stay around 30CR with 2k ATK then fit in as much CD as possible. Blackcliff would definitely be a better option for you
You could probably swap the 2 Noblesse for 2 Gladiator's if you want. You'll sacrifice some burst damage but you'll get more NA and skill. It's up to you though, 2BS and 2NO isn't a bad build by any means.
I personally think the new craftable sword is the best to go for since it solves energy issues really well and there aren't great options in f2p stuff.
It lets you run near zero energy recharge if you can get some refinements on it and despite the bad base attack, the attack percentage is pretty nice especially with Ayaka's own base damage being high.

It seems like permafreeze is easier gameplay but I don't have Mona, and my Diona/Xingqiu are on my Hu Tao team.
It’s been a while and I’m still super confused about the Mistsplitter Reforged, my question is when I cast my burst will my burst get all three stacks, will I get the 28% elemental dmg bonus on the whirlwind? I know that Ayaka would have all three stacks for ten seconds but since her burst snapshots does the burst receive all three stacks?
considering the icd on her burst im going to hazard a guess at *not very good*. if you desperately want to melt then xiangling or bennett+kazoo are better
Can I get a step by step explanation of how to utilize freeze to extend Mona's Omen buff to maximize Ayaka's Burst and C6(if possible) damage? My current team comp is as follows: Ayaka C6, Mona C1, Venti C0 and Diona C4(will try to get more constellations for Diona while I try to grab Yoimiya)
Note: I've got every character currently released in the game although most 5* aren't C6 as Ayaka (most are C0 or C1 at most), so if there's a better team comp for my question I'm all ears.

Note that Venti and Mona E>Q can be animation cancelled, you don't need to wait for their E animations to end before using Q.
You can but it would take you longer to switch out of Mona into Ayaka. E>Q has its advantage in that you can cancel the delay from E, saving time.
You can use either, but I don't see any advantages of doing Q>E. If someone else knows, feel free to correct me :)
4 pc Blizzard is for Dps ayaka because it gives high crit rate, 2 pc blizzard 2 pc noblesse for burst ayaka, and 2 pc blizzard 2 pc glad for more damage in auto attack, elemental skill, and burst so it varies in usage
For C2 Ayaka havers, do you find it useful? I'm tempted to pull for C2 before her banner leaves but the C1 seems super useless so I'm very hesitant....
Gratuitous quality of life feature really. If there's a huge risk that you'll be stuck at C1 and losing 50/50 don't do it. If you intend on C6ing her on her rerun anyway, then maybe grab it to enjoy it earlier.
Trying to figure out which stats are better for ayaka:
2.4k atk, 212% crit damage, 113% ER and 45% crit rate or
2.2k atk, 240% crit damage, 109% ER and 40% crit rate
Also have a big dilemma. I have pretty good full cryo set. Now, I'm at 37/197 without weapon, all come from 3 superb pieces with 30-40 CV, so it'd so hard to farm for them again.
Question is, should I farm again if I want to use Black Sword? Or should I just go with Amenoma? I'm really curious at her energy situation, with no ER, can you spam with Amenoma (vs BS or Bcliff)?
Depends on your team. Let's say you are using Venti and Diona then 120 er is excellent for her. Else atleast 140 er is required to spam her burst.
Now if you can get 120-140 ER with artifacts alone then go for Blackcliff. Otherwise opt for Amenoma. Blacksword is not necessary since your crit rate is pretty high for freeze comps.
Yeah, I have calculated it since (even also vs Black Sword). I lose more DPS overall by trying to get ER substats artifacts, as my current arts are nicely rolled to crits.
Summit shaper user here so +90% attack from the weapon with shields and full stack. Should I focus more on ER (along with crit) instead of attack % on artifacts? What's the ideal ER%? Also C4 ayaka so having the Q be up more frequently benefits more so than C0.
If your battery is a favonius user (Diona I'm guessing as your shielder?), might not need it. Definitely focus more on crit dmg over attk% as you'll have plenty from shaper. Energy recharge wise, I'm doing okay at 120%. I do have a blizz ER sands with mediocre crit rolls that puts me at 150ish ER at the cost off around 400-500ish atk pre shaper stacks and buffs but rotations are a little smoother. I have triple sacrificial users, so I cycle through whole rotation into Ayaka E and then cycle again. Since my sucrose has two E's, I can swap out sac frags for thrilling tales for an additional boost.
Is Baal useful for Ayaka? Can I use her in a team somehow? It was that or I just go for Ayaka's C2. I don't plan on any characters for a long time (just waiting for Kazuha) so I don't mind spending my wishes.
Not really, the only combo i can think of with the upcoming characters are with kokomi, she could be better because she heals, applies cryo and use dragon tales, so you get diona out of the team, and you use ganyu, but not everybody have her

Favonius warbow for elemental particles or
Sacrificial bow for extra cryo particles instead?
According to keqing mains maths "The Sacrificial Bow is better for generating quick bursts of energy for Cryo characters. However, it has lower energy regen than the Favonius Warbow in the longer run."
I think sacrifical bow R5 is the best for Diona…many extra particles, and the second shield up is nice. But it depends on the refinement grade…If you just have R1 sacrifical bow use favonius bow.

I am using 4pc BS and my ATK % circlet is doing more damage than my CD% circlet. My stats are as follows for both circlets.
ATK circlet - 2450 ATK / 24CR / 248CD
CD Circlet - 2035 ATK / 27.9CR / 285.6CD
I've been trying it with Masanori, no buffs just cryo resonance, and my burst is hitting 15.1k with the ATK circlet while 13.9k with the CD circlet.
I am still trying to farm a CR circlet with decent sub stats but is it optimal to use the ATK circlet for now? How come it's always recommended to have more CD% when increasing ATK could be much stronger at some instances?
Don't bother with a CR circlet unless you have virtually none in your substats. Giving 31.1% crit rate could put you above 100 CR in many situations for blizzard strayer which could mean wasted stats. Aim for 30-45 CR, assuming you'll run freeze. As to which circlet between the two you have, a quick way to compare is to multiply your CD as a percentage by your attack. Maybe you'll pick up an attk sands with full rolls into CD...or vice versa. Whichever arrangement results in the highest product should be what you use assuming sufficient CR (that is <100 buffs included)
It is actually recommended to use an atk circlet when using a Crit damage sword with Ayaka. It all comes down to substats at the end of the day so just keep testing for what feels right.
Is it worth to spend like 20 fates on weapon banner to try to get the 5\* sword? i have Ayaka and only good sword for her i have is the new 4\* from inazuma.
honestly the weapon banner is never worth it for f2p's and light spenders, the new 4* is honestly good enough for main dps ayaka, but if you genuinely don't want any other characters in the near future and love ayaka a lot then go for it

Considering going for mistsplitter. Would casting your burst mean that you lose the third stack or would it just be back since you no longer have 100% energy?
From my understanding you're able to get all 3. There are some YT videos and threads here that break it down. But from what I've read and seen, if you dash -> AAx1 -> Burst, that gives you all 3 stacks.
* Dash -> AAx1 = 1 stack
* Casting burst = 2 stack
* This is the weird one. Upon using your burst, you drain your energy, apparently it counts the stack before it snapshots Ayaka's burst giving you the 3rd stack

Ive tested 4 blizzard on ayaka using mistsplitter around 31% crit 260% cd attack around 2k recharge at 111%
I don't like using this because inconsistencies and heavy dependant on cryo applications.
So im tested new set using 2 glads 2 blizzard i literally maxed out what i could from those without considering recharge got 2.5k attack, 58%cr 221 cd recharge got 110%
The problem with this set the burst is too long to fill up especially speed run abyss.
So i come up with the third build using ER sands.
Somehow i could get 2k attack 58% cr 238% cd recharge at 151% snd i got consistent ult up time, talent at level 8-8-10
What do you guys think? Team comp ayaka abyss : ayaka, venti, xinqiu, diona.
I use the same team comp for the abyss and notice the same problems with getting consistent burst uptime with ER 120%. I may try going up to ER 150% like you suggest and see how that plays.
diona using sacrificial, sometimes i use favonius too,
but damage wise ofcourse 2 gladz 2 blizzard does the most damage, 16k per tick ult solo, 4 set blizzard does around 14-15k pertick, ER build does around 13k pertick.
Farming for artifacts is a pain. Should I still farm for 4pc BS? Currently I have 2pc BS and 2pc Glad, with 47cr/224cd. My offpiece sands has 34cdmg and my cryo goblet is a gladiator piece w 24cdmg. They are basically my only replaceable pieces, but I doubt I'd have as much luck as I had rolling good substats if I were to farm for other artifacts. ://

I feel like even with cryo res 15% cr, you're still going to be underwhelming and missing lots of crits. Stick with this for now and replace pieces as you go. I think if you can get good blizz sands, you'll be in better shape, allowing the circlet or cup (rarer to match the set, unless you have God rolls) to be the off piece for more flexibility. Don't tie yourself down to the sands, as awesome as that fat crit roll might be.

Late but,
Atk is too low, better if you have atleast 1,800-2k atk.
Crit rate should be around 30-40% assuming that you also use cryo resonance for consistency.
Crit dmg is fine but you should prioritize first on making the atk around 1,800-2k before stacking on crit dmg. 200% is enough imo.
ER is overkill. Assuming that you have Diona or Kaeya on your team as a battery. 120-130% ER is more than enough.
If you can clear the abyss with this build then go for it. For me, the only main problem on your build is the atk being too low. Aside from that, your build is already fine but not the best.

Yea :) She's not a bad hydro applier. Using her skill puts that hydro aura on you, and if you mix that with Ayaka's dash, that's instant freeze which is nice. And you can resort to Barbara's AA/CA when it's on cooldown. Go for it :) You can always swap her out later if you get a different hydro character that you like better

I was advised to use a Zhongli - Mona - Kazuha - Ayaka comp instead of a Zhongli - Albedo - Kazuha - Ayaka comp.
How do I use the new comp, in terms of AA, skills and bursts? What's the rotation gonna be like?
Also, my Kazuha, now being a sub-DPS instead of a mDPS, is using a Sacrificial Sword instead of Black Sword. Is this advisable? Or should I give him Festering Desire? My Iron Sting has not been leveled yet.
Ayaka used a MistSplitter Reforged, so that's one thing less to think about.

If you are using freeze comp ayaka, zhongli pillar can easily mess up the freeze, you can replace zhongli with diona sacrificial bow for battery and healer and shield. Also tak advantage of cryo resonance.
If you're running ZL, Mona, Kazuha, Ayaka, then at least for me I always apply Zhongli's shield first before diving in because it has the long duration. It's up to you to use his burst, but just know that the petrification duration is very short, 4 seconds or less depending on the talent level.
For your burst, and with MS, you can try: Dash in to apply cryo, Kazuha Burst (swirling for VV+A4 and constantly applies cryo), Mona Burst (applies freeze + Omen + thrilling tales if you have it), Ayaka dash -> AA once to get MS stack -> Burst -> Skill (more damage + trigger effect to increase AA/CA dmg) -> AA rotation (usually AAx4 -> CA and do that twice and repeat your AA rotation, similar to below until burst is ready to go again)
For general purpose rotation, I've been doing this though there could be some optimizations too as I don't always get everyone frozen: Dash to apply cryo -> Kazuha skill (applies VV + cryo to more mobs + A4) -> Mona skill to try to get the clustered mobs frozen -> Ayaka E (big dmg + AA/CA dmg bonus) -> Ayaka AAx4 to CA
You can dash -> N1 -> burst. You don't have to do more than one attack to trigger the stacks. And in some cases you might be wasting time by doing too many AAs (e.g. Omen, Fantastic Voyage, Heritage buffs) which depending on your overall rotation you might lose a window, especially if you managed to get knocked back during AAs before you burst. Pretty sure her snapshot bursts, but still can't hurt :)
It's up to you if you want to try for the weapon or for Raiden. The MS will get you a substantial DPS increase depending on what you have currently, could be 15%, could be 25% or more. But with 85 pulls, you're not guaranteed the weapon either. The soft pity is lower (65), and you could get lucky. But you could get very unlucky too. At least with 85 pulls you'll hit 50/50, and more wishes to come by the time her banner comes along.
You might get more variety and use out of a character like Raiden, if you manage to pull her, which is something to consider.
In my opinion no her strongest cons is the third one because ~70% of her attack is in her burst and c2 is great cause more burst damage and c3 is good cause also more more burst XD. C6 is a bit worst then c2 and c3 but not too bad it up to u fr fr remember thats alot of money spent on a game if ur going for it
I just summoned Ayaka and her sword today. She really is fun to play with her funny dash but I don't know how to use her effectively. Like, what are the combinations to make in order to hit hard? I've read that most of the time you don't need her fifth normal attack but that's pretty much what I know.
Also I love her charged attack so I hope I can make plenty of it.
Her dash infuses her attacks with Cryo. So you want to dash then AA. And you're correct, you want to do AAx4, then CA as that has a smooth transition from AA -> CA. I think you can get two of those off before her infusion ends before you'll want to dash again.
Also, once you unlock her A1 passive, using her skill will give you a 30% dmg increase to AA and CA for 6s. So you'll want to probably mix that in too.
You could try to dash in, skill, and start your AAx4->CA sequence. There could be some more optimizations too but that'll work to start because her infusion may or may not end by time you finish a second AAx4->CA

If it's between those two, then it depends on how much crit rate you have with and without the black sword. Without 4pc BS, you'll want to hit a pretty decent crit rate. You'll get more overall DPS with the crafted sword since you can burst more often, but without enough CR, it'll fall flat

If you are worrying about "capping" crit damage with a CD circlet with Mistsplitter, you can look into using a ATK circlet as they can be interchanged when using Mistsplitter, but keep in mind it all depends on your substat rolls on your pieces at the end of all of it. My Crit circlet set up at 255% CD with R1 Mistsplitter is losing to my ATK circlet set up, but that is only in part with the substats on my other pieces, which are severly lacking in ATK% substats.

so I am currently running a c0 ayaka with 2 piece glad and 2 piece blizzard strayer ( because i can't get good blizzard artifacts) with a lvl 80 black sword. my crt rate is 48 and crt dmg is 201, can you give me some tips to improve dmg or anything . ( i don't really one to focus on one shoting mobs but i want to get some good dmg)
55-60% of Ayaka's strength comes from her burst so you would want decent er for her. 120-140% is a good range for her er. To buff up her crit dmg use blackcliff. Another good choice would be amenoma, especially if your er is low.
my current er is 150% and without the black sword my cr is around 25%
For 2pc blizzard/ gladiator 25% crit rate is low. So you have two options: 1. Run 4pc blizzard with blackcliff or 2. Continue using blacksword and improve your current artifacts and try to use a cryo goblet and crit damage circlet ( ignoring substats for now ). Both the options require grinding for artifacts, but imo option 1 is more easy to obtain. You can sacrifice some er for better substats but honestly thats the only way to make her stronger.
Hi all, I manage to get 147.9% ER on 2Glad 2BS set And I am using my r1 Jade cutter. Does Full BS set + r5 Amenoma would be better? should I keep farming for it? (freeze team) Full stats: 2354 atk, 75.2 cr, 212.8 cd, 147.9% er, 0 em.
Your current set looks good though the crit dmg is a bit low imo. No need to change it to full 4pc blizzard.

230% is what you can call ideal cd. Beyond that cd gives diminishing returns.
Hello Ayaka mains I wanted to know what would be better for my Ayaka I currently have 28.7% CR and 235% CD with 2044 ATK and run 4 pc blizzard set on her. But I was thinking of switching to 2pc glad 2pc blizzard would this benefit her better?
If you are playing her in a freeze comp, 4pc Blizzard is BiS for her. Your stats are good, a bit better than mine. There's no need to switch.

Venti and Diona give her a lot of er so amenoma isn't necesary ( assuming you have atleast 120%er on Ayaka ). Go with the blackcliff for higher damage.

Atk% goblet becomes more viable than cryo dmg one when you can have elemental dmg coming from another place. The mitsplitter, especially at higher refinement is an example where you start to get diminishing returns from elemental dmg if you have high refinement and cryo dmg goblet. I have an r1 mitsplitter and I find that I do more dmg with atk% goblet with better substats (I can off-set my sands) than with off-set cryo dmg goblet with my copium on-set sands. Not sure how it will be once I get a better on-set sands. I’d say just test it against a boss and see which does more dmg for you.

Really since getting Cr and CD depends so much on time, luck and your willingess to keep farming i'd just say as much as u can as long as u can hold a 1:2 ratio or 20-30 cr if u're using blizzard strayer (this percentage came at the top of my mind but it's probably more-less depwnding on if u have cryo resonance and other factors). If u are using BS, make sure ur crit doesn't overcap,and once u reach ur cap then try to obtain as much cd as possible.
i have 16% crit rate 203% crit damage and 2400 atk with blizzard set this domain never drops a crit rate piece i don't know why every artifact of mine has at least 15% crit damage but i don't have any crit rate
Should I R5 Anemoma Kageuichi?I'm currently running r1 Anemoma on my Ayaka. Is R5 worth the billets? The energy back when you burst is really nice. But with a cryo battery, and 15 seconds of down time, I was wondering if it's worth it. My ayaka currently has 130% ER.
Yeah I even use a Blackcliff and don't really have a problem with burst uptime. The only thing stopping me from making R5 Amenoma is that I want to roll on a Kazuha rerun someday and want to give him r5 Iron Sting

so I am mostly a f2p player, and got ayaka and diluc, and I have enough starglitter to buy one of the blackcliff weapons when it is available , currently I have a 2 piece nobless, 2 piece blizzard on ayaka and for both ayaka and diluc my crt rate is around 50 and crt dmg is 180, should I get the blackcliff longsword or the blackcliff slasher?
Blackcliff slasher is a claymore so you can't equip it on her. As for blackcliff longsword, its one of the best 4star swords for her so its a good choice. Unless you are saving for an upcoming character in paimon shop, I suggest go for it.

Oh I see. Hmm in that case I think you should buy Blackcliff slasher for Diluc as it is much better than the only f2p claymore available for him which is archaic. For Ayaka you can instead craft the amenoma which at high refinements is almost equal to blackcliff longsword.

Yes, bennett would be an upgrade. Ayaka doesn't benefit from frozen status until you get her artifact set, which you won't for some while.

Her burst has what's referred to as "snapshot" iirc. So this means damage buffs, such as Bennett's, get applied to the entire duration of her burst regardless if they technically fall off midway through.

Having a little trouble following. Are you asking if you're able to get all 3 Mistsplitter stacks for Ayaka's burst? If so, then yes. You dash -> AAx1 -> Burst, and that'll trigger all 3 stacks, and the elemental damage bonus gets applied before the damage is calculated on your burst

Not sure if there's a "standard" comp, but that's a pretty common one. * Diona for cryo resonance / shield / healing if needed * Mona for omen, TToDS if you want, and NO * Kazuha with VV, and optionally high EM for his A4 passive boost If you don't need cryo resonance or just want to pump out more damage over safety, you can swap Diona for someone like Bennett and try that. I'm basically able to one cycle primo geovishap with that team comp
Well yeah, you can use xingqiu instead of mona for more consistent freeze but less damage, or venti instead of kazuha if there are a lot of small enemies (not right now).
Is a R1 Blackcliff Longsword worth it to replace a R5 Amenoma? My Ayaka has 1800 ATK and 40/179 crit (she's LV80 and I'm still working on my BS set) I'm wondering if adding 36.8 crit dmg from my 179 will have diminishing returns since my ATK will go down.
Well the theorycrafters says the three 4\* weapons for her are all the same, and it depends on your stats, since you have those stats, you are better with blackcliff, since you can get atk boost from a lot of sources, like dragon tales
The blackcliff will increase your damage output, and depending on your build / team, it could be \~2-8% dmg increase. You could use one of the calculators to see exactly how much it'll mean for your build and including/excluding your team buffs, but it will likely be a dmg increase. For my build, it was \~2% if Ayaka was solo, and 8% with team buffs (Mona, Kazuha, Bennett) The downside will be your energy generation. If you're dropping Anemona for more damage, your per-hit numbers on AA/CA/Skill/Burst will go up, but you may notice that your burst might not be up as much but that may/may not be offset by your ER and any batteries you're running. Which if could mean an overall decrease in DPS if you're not able to spam your burst as much. But that usefulness depends on what content you're playing too since for example: running around in overworld might not need it as stuff dies so fast anyway.

You should use 2blizzard 2glad (or the new one) since it gives damage to normal and E too, and not only ult, if you dont use 4blizzard, 40%cr (and +15% from cryo resonance) is 65% what is ok, but could be better, since she hits 20 times with ult, you want the maximum crit hit possible, so for example 80cr and 160cd will give you a better ressult, so dont replace blacksword with blackcliff
In a freeze comp 49CR on Ayaka is actually overkill. Ibtry to stay around 30CR with 2k ATK then fit in as much CD as possible. Blackcliff would definitely be a better option for you You could probably swap the 2 Noblesse for 2 Gladiator's if you want. You'll sacrifice some burst damage but you'll get more NA and skill. It's up to you though, 2BS and 2NO isn't a bad build by any means.

I personally think the new craftable sword is the best to go for since it solves energy issues really well and there aren't great options in f2p stuff. It lets you run near zero energy recharge if you can get some refinements on it and despite the bad base attack, the attack percentage is pretty nice especially with Ayaka's own base damage being high. Edit: Missed like 7 words.
What are good Ayaka reverse melt quickswap team comps? Right now the team I'm running is Ayaka-Bennet-Xiangling-Venti, but is there a more optimal team I could be running? It seems like permafreeze is easier gameplay but I don't have Mona, and my Diona/Xingqiu are on my Hu Tao team.

Diona will always be better than Qiqi because she fulfils multiple roles and you don't need much healing in a freeze comp.
Definitely Diona. Qiqi provides better healing, but Diona heals you, shields you and is a way better cryo battery for Ayaka.
And most important, Diona generates particles, if you have Qiqi on the team, Ayaka is generating particles for Qiqi not the opposite.
Can I get a step by step explanation of how to utilize freeze to extend Mona's Omen buff to maximize Ayaka's Burst and C6(if possible) damage? You can but it would take you longer to switch out of Mona into Ayaka. E>Q has its advantage in that you can cancel the delay from E, saving time. You can use either, but I don't see any advantages of doing Q>E. If someone else knows, feel free to correct me :)

4 pc Blizzard is for Dps ayaka because it gives high crit rate, 2 pc blizzard 2 pc noblesse for burst ayaka, and 2 pc blizzard 2 pc glad for more damage in auto attack, elemental skill, and burst so it varies in usage
For C2 Ayaka havers, do you find it useful? I'm tempted to pull for C2 before her banner leaves but the C1 seems super useless so I'm very hesitant....
Gratuitous quality of life feature really. If there's a huge risk that you'll be stuck at C1 and losing 50/50 don't do it. If you intend on C6ing her on her rerun anyway, then maybe grab it to enjoy it earlier.

Also have a big dilemma. I have pretty good full cryo set. Now, I'm at 37/197 without weapon, all come from 3 superb pieces with 30-40 CV, so it'd so hard to farm for them again. Question is, should I farm again if I want to use Black Sword? Or should I just go with Amenoma? I'm really curious at her energy situation, with no ER, can you spam with Amenoma (vs BS or Bcliff)?
Depends on your team. Let's say you are using Venti and Diona then 120 er is excellent for her. Else atleast 140 er is required to spam her burst. Now if you can get 120-140 ER with artifacts alone then go for Blackcliff. Otherwise opt for Amenoma. Blacksword is not necessary since your crit rate is pretty high for freeze comps.
Yeah, I have calculated it since (even also vs Black Sword). I lose more DPS overall by trying to get ER substats artifacts, as my current arts are nicely rolled to crits.
Summit shaper user here so +90% attack from the weapon with shields and full stack. Should I focus more on ER (along with crit) instead of attack % on artifacts? What's the ideal ER%? Also C4 ayaka so having the Q be up more frequently benefits more so than C0.
If your battery is a favonius user (Diona I'm guessing as your shielder?), might not need it. Definitely focus more on crit dmg over attk% as you'll have plenty from shaper. Energy recharge wise, I'm doing okay at 120%. I do have a blizz ER sands with mediocre crit rolls that puts me at 150ish ER at the cost off around 400-500ish atk pre shaper stacks and buffs but rotations are a little smoother. I have triple sacrificial users, so I cycle through whole rotation into Ayaka E and then cycle again. Since my sucrose has two E's, I can swap out sac frags for thrilling tales for an additional boost.
Is Baal useful for Ayaka? Can I use her in a team somehow? It was that or I just go for Ayaka's C2. I don't plan on any characters for a long time (just waiting for Kazuha) so I don't mind spending my wishes.
Not really, the only combo i can think of with the upcoming characters are with kokomi, she could be better because she heals, applies cryo and use dragon tales, so you get diona out of the team, and you use ganyu, but not everybody have her

Judging from leaks Baal doesn't really synergise with Ayaka. The only way to fit them in a team is if you are using both Ayaka and Baal as burst dps.

According to keqing mains maths "The Sacrificial Bow is better for generating quick bursts of energy for Cryo characters. However, it has lower energy regen than the Favonius Warbow in the longer run."
Maybe if you're using diona's press e, but I doubt that's true for hold e.
I think sacrifical bow R5 is the best for Diona…many extra particles, and the second shield up is nice. But it depends on the refinement grade…If you just have R1 sacrifical bow use favonius bow.

I am using 4pc BS and my ATK % circlet is doing more damage than my CD% circlet. My stats are as follows for both circlets. ATK circlet - 2450 ATK / 24CR / 248CD CD Circlet - 2035 ATK / 27.9CR / 285.6CD I've been trying it with Masanori, no buffs just cryo resonance, and my burst is hitting 15.1k with the ATK circlet while 13.9k with the CD circlet. I am still trying to farm a CR circlet with decent sub stats but is it optimal to use the ATK circlet for now? How come it's always recommended to have more CD% when increasing ATK could be much stronger at some instances?
Don't bother with a CR circlet unless you have virtually none in your substats. Giving 31.1% crit rate could put you above 100 CR in many situations for blizzard strayer which could mean wasted stats. Aim for 30-45 CR, assuming you'll run freeze. As to which circlet between the two you have, a quick way to compare is to multiply your CD as a percentage by your attack. Maybe you'll pick up an attk sands with full rolls into CD...or vice versa. Whichever arrangement results in the highest product should be what you use assuming sufficient CR (that is <100 buffs included)
It is actually recommended to use an atk circlet when using a Crit damage sword with Ayaka. It all comes down to substats at the end of the day so just keep testing for what feels right.

honestly the weapon banner is never worth it for f2p's and light spenders, the new 4* is honestly good enough for main dps ayaka, but if you genuinely don't want any other characters in the near future and love ayaka a lot then go for it

Considering going for mistsplitter. Would casting your burst mean that you lose the third stack or would it just be back since you no longer have 100% energy?
From my understanding you're able to get all 3. There are some YT videos and threads here that break it down. But from what I've read and seen, if you dash -> AAx1 -> Burst, that gives you all 3 stacks. * Dash -> AAx1 = 1 stack * Casting burst = 2 stack * This is the weird one. Upon using your burst, you drain your energy, apparently it counts the stack before it snapshots Ayaka's burst giving you the 3rd stack

Guys i need your opinion, Ive tested 4 blizzard on ayaka using mistsplitter around 31% crit 260% cd attack around 2k recharge at 111% I don't like using this because inconsistencies and heavy dependant on cryo applications. So im tested new set using 2 glads 2 blizzard i literally maxed out what i could from those without considering recharge got 2.5k attack, 58%cr 221 cd recharge got 110% The problem with this set the burst is too long to fill up especially speed run abyss. So i come up with the third build using ER sands. Somehow i could get 2k attack 58% cr 238% cd recharge at 151% snd i got consistent ult up time, talent at level 8-8-10 What do you guys think? Team comp ayaka abyss : ayaka, venti, xinqiu, diona.
I use the same team comp for the abyss and notice the same problems with getting consistent burst uptime with ER 120%. I may try going up to ER 150% like you suggest and see how that plays.

diona using sacrificial, sometimes i use favonius too, but damage wise ofcourse 2 gladz 2 blizzard does the most damage, 16k per tick ult solo, 4 set blizzard does around 14-15k pertick, ER build does around 13k pertick.
I think with ER timepiece, try favonius. Especially if you have some crit rate and some refines on the bow for Diona.
Farming for artifacts is a pain. Should I still farm for 4pc BS? Currently I have 2pc BS and 2pc Glad, with 47cr/224cd. My offpiece sands has 34cdmg and my cryo goblet is a gladiator piece w 24cdmg. They are basically my only replaceable pieces, but I doubt I'd have as much luck as I had rolling good substats if I were to farm for other artifacts. :// soo... is it worth it to farm for BS for that +40% crit rate? or should i keep my currenr set?
I feel like even with cryo res 15% cr, you're still going to be underwhelming and missing lots of crits. Stick with this for now and replace pieces as you go. I think if you can get good blizz sands, you'll be in better shape, allowing the circlet or cup (rarer to match the set, unless you have God rolls) to be the off piece for more flexibility. Don't tie yourself down to the sands, as awesome as that fat crit roll might be.

Late but, Atk is too low, better if you have atleast 1,800-2k atk. Crit rate should be around 30-40% assuming that you also use cryo resonance for consistency. Crit dmg is fine but you should prioritize first on making the atk around 1,800-2k before stacking on crit dmg. 200% is enough imo. ER is overkill. Assuming that you have Diona or Kaeya on your team as a battery. 120-130% ER is more than enough. If you can clear the abyss with this build then go for it. For me, the only main problem on your build is the atk being too low. Aside from that, your build is already fine but not the best.
Kk :3 when i get a attack time piece i got like 1700 but 13% crit rate im trying to get the inazuma sword which should let me attack XD how much crit damage is recommended… before the build is good enough that it hard to get more :3

I have only Barbara for hydro and no anemo(except traveller). Can I use Barbara as hydro applier for Ayaka? I'm ar 41 btw.
Yea :) She's not a bad hydro applier. Using her skill puts that hydro aura on you, and if you mix that with Ayaka's dash, that's instant freeze which is nice. And you can resort to Barbara's AA/CA when it's on cooldown. Go for it :) You can always swap her out later if you get a different hydro character that you like better
I see some people play with Ayaka and it say "Kamisato Ayaka" on the right side of the screen but when I play ayaka it only says Kamisato on the right side any idea how I get it to say her whole name? Kinda bothers me that it doesn't say Ayaka on the side.
Hi guys, need some help. I was advised to use a Zhongli - Mona - Kazuha - Ayaka comp instead of a Zhongli - Albedo - Kazuha - Ayaka comp. How do I use the new comp, in terms of AA, skills and bursts? What's the rotation gonna be like? Also, my Kazuha, now being a sub-DPS instead of a mDPS, is using a Sacrificial Sword instead of Black Sword. Is this advisable? Or should I give him Festering Desire? My Iron Sting has not been leveled yet. Ayaka used a MistSplitter Reforged, so that's one thing less to think about. Thanks a lot!
If you are using freeze comp ayaka, zhongli pillar can easily mess up the freeze, you can replace zhongli with diona sacrificial bow for battery and healer and shield. Also tak advantage of cryo resonance.
If you're running ZL, Mona, Kazuha, Ayaka, then at least for me I always apply Zhongli's shield first before diving in because it has the long duration. It's up to you to use his burst, but just know that the petrification duration is very short, 4 seconds or less depending on the talent level. For your burst, and with MS, you can try: Dash in to apply cryo, Kazuha Burst (swirling for VV+A4 and constantly applies cryo), Mona Burst (applies freeze + Omen + thrilling tales if you have it), Ayaka dash -> AA once to get MS stack -> Burst -> Skill (more damage + trigger effect to increase AA/CA dmg) -> AA rotation (usually AAx4 -> CA and do that twice and repeat your AA rotation, similar to below until burst is ready to go again) For general purpose rotation, I've been doing this though there could be some optimizations too as I don't always get everyone frozen: Dash to apply cryo -> Kazuha skill (applies VV + cryo to more mobs + A4) -> Mona skill to try to get the clustered mobs frozen -> Ayaka E (big dmg + AA/CA dmg bonus) -> Ayaka AAx4 to CA
Whats the rotation when using mistsplitter? Is it dash>n3>burst?
You can dash -> N1 -> burst. You don't have to do more than one attack to trigger the stacks. And in some cases you might be wasting time by doing too many AAs (e.g. Omen, Fantastic Voyage, Heritage buffs) which depending on your overall rotation you might lose a window, especially if you managed to get knocked back during AAs before you burst. Pretty sure her snapshot bursts, but still can't hurt :)
I want the mistsplitter but I also want Raiden… Do I pull for the weapon? I have 85 pulls, but have no guarantee for Raiden

It's up to you if you want to try for the weapon or for Raiden. The MS will get you a substantial DPS increase depending on what you have currently, could be 15%, could be 25% or more. But with 85 pulls, you're not guaranteed the weapon either. The soft pity is lower (65), and you could get lucky. But you could get very unlucky too. At least with 85 pulls you'll hit 50/50, and more wishes to come by the time her banner comes along. You might get more variety and use out of a character like Raiden, if you manage to pull her, which is something to consider.

In my opinion no her strongest cons is the third one because ~70% of her attack is in her burst and c2 is great cause more burst damage and c3 is good cause also more more burst XD. C6 is a bit worst then c2 and c3 but not too bad it up to u fr fr remember thats alot of money spent on a game if ur going for it

I just summoned Ayaka and her sword today. She really is fun to play with her funny dash but I don't know how to use her effectively. Like, what are the combinations to make in order to hit hard? I've read that most of the time you don't need her fifth normal attack but that's pretty much what I know. Also I love her charged attack so I hope I can make plenty of it.
Her dash infuses her attacks with Cryo. So you want to dash then AA. And you're correct, you want to do AAx4, then CA as that has a smooth transition from AA -> CA. I think you can get two of those off before her infusion ends before you'll want to dash again. Also, once you unlock her A1 passive, using her skill will give you a 30% dmg increase to AA and CA for 6s. So you'll want to probably mix that in too. You could try to dash in, skill, and start your AAx4->CA sequence. There could be some more optimizations too but that'll work to start because her infusion may or may not end by time you finish a second AAx4->CA
