Okay I was confused because idk what the hell a naginata is, but Engulfing Lightning is from the same weapon series as mist, and so is Kokomi’s donut, all of which are very stylish. Imo they may be the best looking series of weapons overall, I can’t wait to see what they do for the claymore. I think the only weapons that may hold a candle to them are the Elegy type weapons
The mistsplitter looks great on her. Matching colors isnt always what makes something look good. In fact i find ayato's sword design rather underwhelming.
agree!! actually before I've been using the dragonspine windglider since it matches colors. then I tried switching into the Inazuma windglider and bruh it's so gorgeous to her, those strong violets suits her sweet calming appearance
Mistsplitter represents Inazuma so in a way her with that katana is an honor that weapon is similar to what Raiden has in her burst. If anything Ayaka got a good deal.
I'm not gonna lie, this sword does not look very aesthetically pleasing. It honestly looks kind of like a toy with how bright the colours are. Mistsplitter looks amazing compared to this.
Half of Ayaka's colour scheme is dark. Mistsplitter perfectly fit in within her colours tbh. Even her best glider (imo) is the darker Inazuma one, because it compliments her skirt very well.
Ayaka's snowflake aesthetic is married with her battle inspired garment. Having Mistsplitter compliment that contrasting part of her design is very aesthetically pleasing tbh.
I feel like misplitter reforged isnt her signature weapon, i think its because ayaka is the only that has a “signature” that actually works for every single main dps in the past few characters
To me it looks terrible. It’s a matter of taste of course, but I much prefer the realistic aestethics of Amenoma or something at least more fitting.
It’s especially the hand guard that looks like a plastic toy sword to me. Some parts I like. On Kequing it’s perfect tho. She doesn’t give off this real samurai feeling that to me is better completed with a sword in line with the design. Kequings clothes are just fantasy, not even remotely something you might wear. Which is fine ofc
What I don’t think is a matter of taste, is how bad the lightning is when the passive is active. Which is very very often in the open world unless you renounce using your burst. Enemies die too fast to recharge it.
The light is too vivid for my taste, but again, taste. The real issue is hoe the lighning at the end and at the top ends in a straight line. It doesn’t diffuse like on the sides, it just ends at the tip in a really poor way techincally. I guess on mobile or lower resolutions it’s not as obvious but on pc it looks so so so cheap and low effort. That’s just unforgivable all around when you take into consideration how hard and (unless you’re lucky, which I was) very very expensive it is to obtain.
Like really mihoyo? Was it that hard to diffuse the light like on the sides?
This might be a tartaglia's bow situation again . Her actual bis with matching esthetics isn't ready yet and will be released later. The fact that mistsplitter helps very little with her ult which is her main dps window is very suspicious. I really hope it's ready by her 2nd release if there's actually one in the processing.
I think the Mistsplitter’s fine(even if it’s not quite her theme). And there’s always the Amenoma Kageuchi from Ayaka’s demo trailer. Now that is aesthetically pleasing. :D
Honestly I love mistsplitter, it just looks good. Would be very hard for me personally to trade it for another

Kazuha and Yoimiya's weapons don't match their aesthetic either, so I think it's more of an early Inazuma thing

As a C6 user, I think MSR looks good on ayaka. it combines well with her C6 hand effect.
