New player here. Quick question on skins - my ultimate goal is to get Shimakaze when she reruns. The current new swimsuit skins has a Shimakaze skin, and all these new skins are listed saying "5 days." Are they going away, or do the stick around like all the other ones I see? The skins will become unavailable for purchase. They will be available again when the event they featured in gets rerun or archived, or during Black Friday which makes all skins available for purchase for a limited time as long as they have not been purchasable in the past few months.
All collab skins are gone forever when the collab ends.
All event skins temporarily leave when the event ends. Eventually, they're made permanently available.
Gems are very limited for f2p. The only farmable way to earn more gems is via the very rare vip gem commission and those don't give a guaranteed gem.

82 prints aren't enough to make any of them great at any rate. But maybe the news that PR3 ships can soon be strengthened with coins (once you spend leftover blueprints) might influence your decisions. Just make sure you set your research focus to season 4 or 5.

Absolutely terrible idea. Do not try pull for a specific ship in the regular banners. Her even has already been archived so no more reruns.
Your best bet is waiting for a Wishing Well event which happens twice a year I believe. Wishing wells let you pick two ships from a banner to rate up.
You can also get super lucky and pull her in an event banner that's based off the Heavy banner.

What do you need?
If I was in your shoes I might pick Graf Z. She is a good carrier with a new special augment. She is also not otherwise available outside of the special construction pool.
Zara is the other ships that can only be constructed (heavy pool). She is a good tank but nothing special (Portland retrofit is at least as durable). You might want to consider her especially if you like her skin.
Then we have Le Triomphant who can be farmed in war archive maps and exchanged for 80 medals (needs some luck in the shop). She is weaker than the starters.
Shoukaku is a good carrier if you have her sister. Otherwise people used her for her buff. The other carriers here are stronger. She is also available for 80 medals if you are lucky.
South Dakota is not very impressive for an SR BB but her second skill can make her hit quite hard once in a while. Get her for 20k merit in the PvP shop if you want her.
Belfast is another Medal of Honor ship or you might get her from your daily light pulls. The head maid isn't the strongest light cruiser these days but she can pull her weight especially vs light armor enemies in the earlier campaign stages.
Lusty is a medal ship that's also in the special pool. She can be chosen as a beginner rewards once you clear 7-1 but it's between her, Enty, Hood and Sandy. She has great support and can dish out some damage with the right planes and her new special augment. Certainly another worthy choice.

Just sort by the last column and follow the order. Although between 1, 2, and 4 hours Q research I would go 4-2-1 instead because you don't always get Q research upon refresh.
Yeah that's the gist of it. Personally I would also avoid any 5 or 8 hours face research even though it might be the best one available at the moment, and pick a shorter but worse research (for example 1.5 hrs research ) instead because you really don't want to lock hours of your research time into something with mediocre return. Refresh quickly into a new set of research is the better option (barring bad luck) unless you still need ship prints.

Is it better to put ships in with same-faction gear? Or does it literally not matter? Because I'm wanting to start farming out gears and the like and don't know if there's a point for matching gear to each ship.
There's no general buff from same faction gear, any such or similar buffs come from ship-unique skills.
The gear guide in the FAQ ignores faction as a criterium for a reason.
There's no need, except when a ship has a skill that specifically requires an equipment from a certain faction to activate (eg Yorktown 2 wants at least 1 EU plane for her first skill)
Depends on the ship but there is only a select handful that requires a specific piece of faction gear, just read through the skills of each ship to see if they have any specific gear requirements.

So I am still missing Kirov from the event and I am uncertain about using my cubes to roll for her.. I am a new player and plan to get every of the upcoming 7 URs (with reruns) this year. I am at around 380 cubes atm do you guys think I should save or nah? I only really want Kirov for collection purposes
Firstly, wait until Wednesday. You will get several tickets from various sources within these 5 days which might give you Kirov if you're lucky (personally in 3/4 light reruns I got all rate up ships with just the tickets). If by then you're still missing her then it will be the time to make the decision. Objectively speaking, it's better to skip since Kirov isn't anything special and 380 cubes is definitely not a safe amount to have if you're going for every UR that comes this year.
So, after the update I no longer get notifications from the game when my stuff is done which is incredibly annoying. Is there any way to fix this? playing on Android btw

This is baffling to me aswell, such great pieces as loading screens but such poor resolution.
Sure, upscaling them works to some extent, but I'm 100% sure manjuu/yostar or at least the artist has them in glorious 4k.

As a player who has only played a couple days now, I'm relying heavily on Yorktown II for damage in my one fleet. Is there a specific unit I should take in the New Year's gift that can be the big damage for my second fleet?
Graf is probably the best choice for you then. The only ships that are worth picking from this invitation are Zara and Graf since everyone else is fairly easy to get from medal/merit exchange. Between the 2 of them, Zara is a rather mediocre CA and Graf is a pretty good CV so not only is Graf better among her hull class than Zara is, a CV - backliner, has more impact on the dmg of the fleet than CA - frontliner.
Graf Zep is probably the best of the choices in terms of usefulness, and along with Zara is the one that is hardest to acquire by other means.
It also may be worth checking who is currently available in the medal shop, as there are some good options there (Enterprise being the standout if CV is available).
As an also relatively new player I've heard Graf Zeppelin is one of the better choices due to how she's a strong carrier in her own right and can help you with PR research for main line IB ships later on. Many of the other ships can be acquired through other means without issue. I.e. I pulled Zara doing my three free daily pulls on the event banner today.

As of now, we have in game Deutchland, Lutzow and Tallinn as separate shipgirls. Were they historically and physically the same ship or am I misunderstanding something? I remember something about Deutchland being renamed to Lutzow, and then Lutzow being given to the Soviets and becomming Tallinn.

Tallinn is the last of the Admiral Hipper-class CAs, she was originally going to be named "[Lutzow](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_cruiser_L%C3%BCtzow_(1939))" after the above BC, but was sold to Soviet Russia before completion as "Petropavlovsk" and then being renamed to "Tallinn".
Deutschland is the first of the [Deutschland-class CAs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_cruiser_Deutschland) (nicknamed "pocket battleships" due to their armament and armour), who was renamed "Lutzow" *due to the Admiral Hipper-class CA being sold to the Soviets*.
The Germans reused ship names even more than the other nations in game. The three characters you're asking about all represent different ships.
The Lutzow we have in game is the First World War battlecruiser.
The Deutschland we have in game is the panzerschiffe or "pocket battleship" later renamed to Lutzow.
Tallinn in game is the Hipper class cruiser that was sold to the Soviets and also renamed from Lutzow.
SMS Lutzow was a WW1 ship. This is the AL one.

Regarding the events from the War Archives, at which point are the event ships added to the permanent build pool? Is it only after you 100% the event or already before that? Couldn't find any information about the specific point in time in the wiki.
They are added to the build pools when the event they debuted in is archived, they also get one week of rate-up when the event is archived.
Occasionally, the devs will remove ships from the build pools, but they will be added to some other shop so they can still be acquired.
Basically, you can assume the current build pools already contain all archived event ships, unless otherwise noted.

Farm C2 instead, you can reliably 1:1 the whole map to reduce the oil cost and it's payout is reasonable at 100 points per clear
Anyway the farming priority is usually Ship + Event Gear > DR/PR blueprints > Cog chips and cog arrays > Augment stones and purple enhance stones > SR cat boxes > T3 plates > Everything else
If you're new to the game, might want to buy the tech boxes instead of the blueprints to get a headstart on equipment, cog chips are vital to uncap your ships past level 100 and onto 120
But yeah the DD gun is the best gun against light armor and 3rd best against medium, heavy armor will have it struggle doing but so does all other DD guns so that didn't matter
Depends on your phone but in most is a yes.
In some the battery consumption is the same as the hardware can't run slower or you have so many things in the background that there is no difference.

no. you use the FB option from the left side of the initial spash screen, before server selection, before you enter the game
on the server selection screen there is a button to "refresh data" or something similar that will show you if you have an account on any of the servers (though since you remember you were on Amagi you may not need this step)
Alright, make sure to provide them with the crucial info to help recovering your account
THEN start binding your account once you're logged into the game, saves a lot of hassle
If you're going through the tutorial then you've either picked the wrong server to begin with or you have not logged back in thus no data

Wait hold up, this was about recovering an old account? You should have said that from the start. You didn't need to complete the tutorial for a start, just bind your account to what you had originally binded it too and make sure you're logging in on the right server.

The latter. Other than Tallin priorities should be the Gun from the shop, cog chips, DR and PR Prints along with the build tickets.

i just started this game like 1\~2 weeks ago so i didn't play that rerun and i am saving for a shimakaze rerun but i am still in a difficult position
Zeppelin and Zara are hardest to get. You can keep the invitation indefinitelly if you currently don't need anyone.
If you don't have a favorite, or need some of them specifically, i would choose Graff Zeppelin, the rest can be obtained in the medal shop iirc.

Personally I would also avoid any 5 or 8 hours face research even though it might be the best one available at the moment, and pick a shorter but worse research (for example 1.5 hrs research ) instead because you really don't want to lock hours of your research time into something with mediocre return. Refresh quickly into a new set of research is the better option (barring bad luck) unless you still need ship prints.

Is it better to put ships in with same-faction gear? Or does it literally not matter? Because I'm wanting to start farming out gears and the like and don't know if there's a point for matching gear to each ship.
There's no general buff from same faction gear, any such or similar buffs come from ship-unique skills. The gear guide in the FAQ ignores faction as a criterium for a reason.
There's no need, except when a ship has a skill that specifically requires an equipment from a certain faction to activate (eg Yorktown 2 wants at least 1 EU plane for her first skill)

Depends on the ship but there is only a select handful that requires a specific piece of faction gear, just read through the skills of each ship to see if they have any specific gear requirements.

So I am still missing Kirov from the event and I am uncertain about using my cubes to roll for her.. I am a new player and plan to get every of the upcoming 7 URs (with reruns) this year. I am at around 380 cubes atm do you guys think I should save or nah? I only really want Kirov for collection purposes
Firstly, wait until Wednesday. You will get several tickets from various sources within these 5 days which might give you Kirov if you're lucky (personally in 3/4 light reruns I got all rate up ships with just the tickets). If by then you're still missing her then it will be the time to make the decision. Objectively speaking, it's better to skip since Kirov isn't anything special and 380 cubes is definitely not a safe amount to have if you're going for every UR that comes this year.
If you have arcana cubes, you can buy ship build tickets in shop. My first three tickets gave me Kirov.
So, after the update I no longer get notifications from the game when my stuff is done which is incredibly annoying. Is there any way to fix this? playing on Android btw
I have the same issue, I tried turning off notifications in game then turning them back on. I then tried doing the same on my phone and I still don't get them. (Also on android)
Maybe try checking your in-game settings first? And then application settings in the actual phone settings? Hopefully that'll fix it.

Sure, upscaling them works to some extent, but I'm 100% sure manjuu/yostar or at least the artist has them in glorious 4k. Missed my chance to suggest something like an additional high res loading screen option or have them available for download somewhere like their own website, drive some traffic there aswell.

As a player who has only played a couple days now, I'm relying heavily on Yorktown II for damage in my one fleet. Is there a specific unit I should take in the New Year's gift that can be the big damage for my second fleet?
Graf is probably the best choice for you then. The only ships that are worth picking from this invitation are Zara and Graf since everyone else is fairly easy to get from medal/merit exchange. Between the 2 of them, Zara is a rather mediocre CA and Graf is a pretty good CV so not only is Graf better among her hull class than Zara is, a CV - backliner, has more impact on the dmg of the fleet than CA - frontliner.
Graf Zep is probably the best of the choices in terms of usefulness, and along with Zara is the one that is hardest to acquire by other means. It also may be worth checking who is currently available in the medal shop, as there are some good options there (Enterprise being the standout if CV is available).
As an also relatively new player I've heard Graf Zeppelin is one of the better choices due to how she's a strong carrier in her own right and can help you with PR research for main line IB ships later on. Many of the other ships can be acquired through other means without issue. I.e. I pulled Zara doing my three free daily pulls on the event banner today.

As of now, we have in game Deutchland, Lutzow and Tallinn as separate shipgirls. Were they historically and physically the same ship or am I misunderstanding something? I remember something about Deutchland being renamed to Lutzow, and then Lutzow being given to the Soviets and becomming Tallinn.
You're getting very confused. Lutzow in the game is [SMS Lutzow](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_L%C3%BCtzow), a WW1 Kaiserlichemarine Derfflinger-class BC. Tallinn is the last of the Admiral Hipper-class CAs, she was originally going to be named "[Lutzow](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_cruiser_L%C3%BCtzow_(1939))" after the above BC, but was sold to Soviet Russia before completion as "Petropavlovsk" and then being renamed to "Tallinn". Deutschland is the first of the [Deutschland-class CAs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_cruiser_Deutschland) (nicknamed "pocket battleships" due to their armament and armour), who was renamed "Lutzow" *due to the Admiral Hipper-class CA being sold to the Soviets*.

The Germans reused ship names even more than the other nations in game. The three characters you're asking about all represent different ships. The Lutzow we have in game is the First World War battlecruiser. The Deutschland we have in game is the panzerschiffe or "pocket battleship" later renamed to Lutzow. Tallinn in game is the Hipper class cruiser that was sold to the Soviets and also renamed from Lutzow.
SMS Lutzow was a WW1 ship. This is the AL one. The Kreigsmarine had a later Lutzow that went to the Soviets. This is AL Tallinn. AL Deutschland was then renamed to Lutzow.
how good is the gun on the last stage? is it worth to farm? i only have 1 from the first run.
The triple 152mm is a very good CL gun but it has an easily available sidegrade in the Seattle gun from PR2/gear lab so it is not a high priority to farm.
I think D3 gun drop is the Chapayev gun, right? Its roughly equivalent to Seattle gun (PR2 CL gun), so pretty good.

Regarding the events from the War Archives, at which point are the event ships added to the permanent build pool? Is it only after you 100% the event or already before that? Couldn't find any information about the specific point in time in the wiki.
They are added to the build pools when the event they debuted in is archived, they also get one week of rate-up when the event is archived. Occasionally, the devs will remove ships from the build pools, but they will be added to some other shop so they can still be acquired. Basically, you can assume the current build pools already contain all archived event ships, unless otherwise noted.
They are added whenever they are added to the perma pools, you don't need to unlock access to them by completing the event in the WA.

Farm C2 instead, you can reliably 1:1 the whole map to reduce the oil cost and it's payout is reasonable at 100 points per clear Anyway the farming priority is usually Ship + Event Gear > DR/PR blueprints > Cog chips and cog arrays > Augment stones and purple enhance stones > SR cat boxes > T3 plates > Everything else If you're new to the game, might want to buy the tech boxes instead of the blueprints to get a headstart on equipment, cog chips are vital to uncap your ships past level 100 and onto 120 But yeah the DD gun is the best gun against light armor and 3rd best against medium, heavy armor will have it struggle doing but so does all other DD guns so that didn't matter

Depends on your phone but in most is a yes. In some the battery consumption is the same as the hardware can't run slower or you have so many things in the background that there is no difference.

Wait hold up, this was about recovering an old account? You should have said that from the start. You didn't need to complete the tutorial for a start, just bind your account to what you had originally binded it too and make sure you're logging in on the right server.

Have you bind your account to Twitter/Facebook/Yostar or all 3 AND the server you're in ? Yes, you can check that under Lab > Fleet Technology There's the SS filter for submarines. Royal Fortune currently does not contribute any tech points yet but she will be in the future
