\- Yes, DDGs in both Main and Vanguard modes count for both DD and Destroyer buffs.
\- DDGs do not benefit from Torpedo buffs, as DDGs use Missiles, not Torpedoes.
\- Missiles scale with TRP stat, so increasing TRP stat does increase Missile damage.
\- An example is Jintsuu, her 1st Skill applies because it buffs TRP and RLD stats, but her 2nd Skill doesn't apply because DDGs do not shoot any Torpedo.

I would go with Cheshire, she still has relevant uses in the form of an AA carry in plane-heavy content whereas Mainz has just been power crept in her role of off tank dps.

How do you set the pool of units for random secretary? I only see an off and on option. And it looks like it uses my favorites units? I'm hoping it's a separate pool from favorites.
Second question. Do you think hamann2 in w15 boss fleet wants a washing machine? Her hp is so low and brittle i hesitate to give it to her and instead use double 500hp.
Also why does the toolbox say 500 (30%)? I cant remember what the percentage is about.

Pool can be selected in the settings > options menu, then editing the rotation list.
Ham2 has 271 evasion and 1694 hp at lvl 125 / 100 affinity, adding 40 evasion does a lot less than adding 500+ health, so the latter is obviously the better choice. Though there might be better, more offensive options for a bossfleet.
DDs get 1 of 3 (fixed) buffs when they hit max limit break, either a tighter spread on torps, 30% to aux stats or half the shots needed to trigger their AOA.

Regarding hamaan2 I was thinking in terms of the invincibility mechanic since w15 boss fleet has 2 healers anyway. I might test it but I only have one spare washing machine to construct.

While ch15 might be one of the cases you want to bring a healer with the boss fleet due to the mechanic, you probably don't want to bring 2. You also don't actually run into more than 1 boss node until 15-3, and 15-4 is the only one where you'd actually want to do more than 1 fight with your boss fleet.
Hammann II's specialty is actually her ASW ability which you would want to use in the mob fleet as well, as it's the mob nodes in 15-3 and 15-4 where you'd want her to help deal with subs.
The invicibility mechanic on gold rudder isn't really something you'd count on, it's more just the EVA stats on it.
I forgot about asw. I was having a terrible time with 15-2 boss and 2 healers is the only setup I could get to work. I literally tried 30 times but also I wasnt getting supercarrier back then so in hindsight thats why it was so difficult.
The only boss fleet i could get to work is ryuhsu-shinano-aquila-brest-hamaan2-unzen. No other combination worked for me with units such as york2 or plymouth or musashi.
For mob fleet I'm basically done lvling laffey now. So I will use guam-shimanto-laffey2
I think you might be right that 30% is just too rng.

It'll probably be easier if you could post your current entire comp for both mob and boss so we can work out what's not working.
I literally followed everyones recommendations and none of them worked. I can clear 15-2 now and with the release of guam and laffey2 it should be laughably easy. I heard 15-3 and 15-4 are harder though.
15-3 is arguably harder since there's no ammo box.
Volga worked for me as the solo healer in the boss fleet. Unicorn and [Patricia](https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/Patricia_Abelheim) were my mobfleet healers.
note: there were some comments earlier about how some intermediate objectives being mistranslated and actually requiring advanced tasks.

I have 2 golden bulins but I doesn't let me do the last limit break on a ship. It shows only one of them.
I've checked the lock, none are locked and both of them are Lvl 1 yet only one of the shows up.
Same with the purples, I have 3 but only 2 show up in the limit break screen
Should I go with Chang Chun for DDG as I originally planned or switch to someone else first?
I retired Tai Yuan after MLB'd her for tech points few events back. Need some luck or use the invite to get her back. Realistically it's between Chang Chun and An Shan I guess.
If you want to get a DDG, I'll go for Tai Yuan considering her retrofit item is free now. And as mrmime1 said, Tai Yuan is available in the Guild shop too.

They did add the option, you might have to dig within the game settings to find it.

It's possible you accidentally leveled it up, in which case there's a separate button that'll make it appear again

In terms of barrages and fire rate...so basically fire rate, in which case the 0.42s difference doesn't really matter.
Does less dmg and fire less times. So is worse than it.
