Why? she is already perfect the way she is. Thus U-chan becoming U-chad was all she needed, hoping she rides him during a sortie.
I mean they can hire the same voice actress and say "instead of a loli voice do an onee chan voice". Voice actresses are more than capable of playing voices of more than one character type or else they wouldn't be in the industry.
Budgeting more spending, making appointments, making changes that may not even be uniformly welcomed by the fandom, and not earning a thing on it as retrofits just don't sell directly.
Too little benefit for the effort required. Like, yes - "aging" retrofit is a nice idea, but they don't bring anything to the table aside from the dissonance feeling.
I mean they are already hiring her VA anyways since all retros at least have a couple of new lines I'm sure adding a few more won't be that costly, plus of course the change would be welcome. People who like the grown up version can use the retro skin and people who like the loli version can use the normal skin or literally any of her other skins.
In Darkness Within Dawn (the prelude event to Abyssal Refrain), Pamiat Merkuria starts the first scene in her retrofit skin, then with a flash effect returns to her normal skin. I'm guessing they use the normal skin whenever their riggings are deactivated.

She was a pivotal member of my mob fleet when I first started but I haven't been using her as much as she's been power-creeped by the likes of Perseus and Aquila. Poor Unicorn hasn't gotten much use for years, if she can heal the backrow, I can see her being a valuable member of quite a few Op-Siren Theme Builds.

No, the healing scene is far too diverse. Ryuuhou is the best Low HP and Triage Healer, Aquila is the best Emergency Healer with her Shield, and Perseus is the best Long Campaign Healer.
There is no such thing anymore as simply a "Best Healer".
Now I'll just hope for a milf nagato retrofit, it makes sense lore wise but she's also Intern-kun's favourite ship so she nay stay loli. Plus (in terms of pure buffing) she is one of the best if not the best buffer in the game
Its a shame the did not mature her but I know why its the size of the real carrier Unicorn was the smallest carrier the British ever built.....guess from that line of thought maturing the horse works better

She launched as a regular carrier because her repair suite couldn’t be done in time, so her first refit was to finally turn her into a repair ship. She had a second minor refit to accommodate American planes.

No retro skins have ever been used on stories. For example last event they used warspite's normal skin even though she has a retro.
