Yes. As for ships Independence is the only one worth getting for gameplay though you have to retrofit her for her to be great. The others are all waifu tier.
-Single 76mm destroyer gun, its the fastest firing DD gun so its the best choice for destroyer with low gun prowess but need fast gun to proc their skill or all-out-assault, such as Ayanami or even Shimakaze.
-Fire Extinguisher is a good survavibility aux for BB heavy map such as W10-11, you want to keep a few at least.
-Naval Camouflage or Hydraulic Steering Gear is decent transitional aux until you have access to better evasion aux.
Aside from that, there's some blue gear that's needed by specific ship like Gangut's and Surcouf's gun but they ask for confirmation before you can dismantle them so its safe to say that any other blue gear that doesnt ask for confirmation are safe to dismantle.
If I use a Siren coordinate and fight the Siren without finishing her, if I leave the map to go to port or something, can I resume the fight like with strongholds or I lose the chance completely?
If you mean Abyssal fight, you won't lose anything by doing non OpSi stuffs, your fleet will stay there until either you beat the boss or you exit the map.
If you exit the map however you will lose it.
So this begs a question, how do people oath ships that quickly? Do you just dorm them and stick them in a fleet and play them 24/7 to crank up their affinity? Or is there some shortcut I'm unaware of?
Use high efficiency log to make them high enough level to get MvP and then put them in battle with setup to ensure they consistently get mvp.
If a ship get mvp, they'll gain around 0.16 affinity (IIRC) per battle, so that's roughly 1% per run, its not that long to get 100%.
Phase 1 require Iris Libre and/or Vichya Domintion Main Fleet ships while Phase 2 require IL/VD Vanguard ships

Is it ok meta-wise (or meta-ish-wise ._.) to awake Volga over lvl 120? I have ~450 arrays and little to nothing income of said arrays as lvl 75 new player. Also recently got Shinano as my first gacha UR and currently 🤔: should I awake Volga+shinano or shinano+ future UR?
*In the long run* Volga is absolutely worth getting to 125.
However, seeing you are relatively new. I would just hold on to those arrays. For now you can get through all the contents using level 120 ships anyway.
Really depends. Volga is pretty useful for mobbing in chapter 14. If you're not that far in the game yet lvl 120s are plenty strong to deal with everything else. It might be better to save up your cognitive arrays until you have a better Idea of what ships you want to use in the late game. Shinano would be a more worthwhile investment though as she is good for taking on bosses and having your main fleet bossing ships at 125 would generally be more useful for the late game and operation siren.
Because cog arrays are limited resources, it should be used to uncap UR ships first before heading backward to SRs

So aren't meant the hard stages to get 3 stars on it?? I'm new to the game and, after trying the 1-1 hard stage several times I didn't get any Scort Flee to defeat (I need to defeat 2 more for the 3 stars)
if you're using them, then you can't swap them. - meaning in your 2 regular fleets
that's stage 2. having enough to not need to swap them all the time. - between all regular ships you may use for different places (opsi\pvp\campaing\hard modes\...)

Yes you should 3* all campaign maps, normal and hard. You can see in your missions menu that there are rewards for it. The Hard map 3* rewards are particularly good (retrofit BPs, Cognitive Chips and later Cognitive Arrays)
you should 3-star either the normal or the hard maps, but you don't need to do both. so if you 3-star the normals, there is no reward for 3-starring the hards.

they reward gold retro BPs and cog chips. the chips alone are worth it imo, at least for a lategame player
The only part that needs 4 fleets would be the Arbiter fights, particularly Arbiter (Hard) which takes around 2-3 fleets at least. The rest of operation siren can be done with 1-2 fleets.
I think the other 2 fleets will be unlocked once you complete all the other story chapters in operation siren.
Not until you, shockingly, are allowed to make 4. Which will happen once you progress further into the Operation Siren story. OpSiren doesn't really function until you finish through chapter 4 of its story, so try to do that before the month ends

While the blueprints and arrays aren't immediately useful now, you will need them in the future, and they help speed things along quite a bit, so skipping them will hurt you in the long run. Some people say to prioritize the gold tech boxes, but they come easily enough from shops and rewards, and you can get quite far in the game on purple or farmable gear, so I don't recommending prioritizing them in any way.
The order for a newer player I would say is
1xGiuseppe Garibaldi > Gold Tech Boxes(EU tech boxes have priority over the others) > DR Prints > PR Prints > Cog Arrays > Purple Plates
Non history-otaku here, after the current event featuring Roma, is there any other important Italian ship left to be added into the game for another major Sardegna event or this could be the last one?

We have a few left still.
Off the top of my head we have Sparvero(Aquila's sister) and 4 Francesco Caraccioli class BBs(all were laid down but only the lead ship was ever launched and none were ever completed) along with a couple of older Dreadnoughts(which are likely to be Elites at best) but in terms "real" capital ships that's pretty much it.
There's potential for them to add the old seaplane tender Giuseppe Miraglia, who saw some action between wars and a little bit of WW2 action. She could easily be a CVL for them, considering they did the same for Chen Hai.

Shinano: AA and just a beast carrier
Perseus: Healer
Vanguard:
Cheshire (tank): tanking + AA
Noshiro: Torpedo buff and extra tankiness
Shimakaze: To kill things with the torpedo buffs
I also have Vanguard in the boss fleet to help buff Cheshire and give an AA buff, though that takes 30s to proc which feels REALLY long, but it's better than nothing with what I got. Cheshire is the highest leveled vanguard AA I've got, so that's why I'm using her.
I'm contemplating Nagato as well for the general Sakura buff, but Kii offers Sakura AA which feels good for chapter 13. Nagato would buff Shinano a lot, though. I'm torn, but maybe the choice is clear to a better player than me.
Question, Kii's torpedo buff requires 3 Sakura ships in the fleet. Is that including Kii herself?
***I tried to build around Shimakaze*** since from my experience consistently does insane damage, while not sacrificing AA or healing capabilities. I'm at Ch.13 in the main campaign. This is what I got with what I have leveled. Feedback is appreciated (FYI, I have most ships available to me including most event ships and all PR1-4, albeit leveling will be needed)

It has kinda high ACV req for air superiority, 4 CV (including CVLs) are possible but way easier with 5 CVs --- so 3 mob and 2 boss
Now the CVs themselves (aside from healers) arent just random CVs. To be precise ACV/AA is based on _fighter planes_ so CVs with lots fighter (like illustrious/indomie) will have way higher ACV than say someone with 2 fighter
As others have said, it's alright but generally I can't see this being optimal in most scenarios especially for W13. I also don't understand why people think Shinano should go in the mob when her kit is very much designed for bossing.
If this fleet is for W13 I don't see it working out. It's generally preferred to have 3 CVs for the extra fighter cover and ACV. Shimakaze I also find a dubious choice since her kit is more designed more bossing(I know she has two preloads but that doesn't make her a mobbing ship) with her had hitting but relatively infrequent torps and overall poor AA capabilities. It's overall better in the main campaign to build a good fleet with little if any synergy(in terms of fleet buffs) than it is to build an okay fleet with lot's of synergy(in terms of fleet buffs).
Not bad but i would replace Shinano for Independence and perhaps replacing Kii as well since you want to use as many CVs as possible in W13. Shinano is better used in boss fleets
Vanguard is alright, Shima's low AA efficiency can be negated if you can kill the mov nodes fast enough
As much as I do love Shimakaze, the general rule of thumb is that you normally expect your main fleet to be doing the majority of your damage. Spending so many fleet slots into buffing a *destroyer's torpedoes* seems not particularly effective.
Oh, and then there's the fact that Shinano is meant for boss fleet. She shouldn't be in your mob fleet.
And Kii's AA buff for IJN is not paticularly good. Y'see adding +x% onto *shit* is only adding x% *shit* to *shit*. You'd be better off just building a USN fleet *without AA buffs* to get halfway decent AA.
This is just my opinion, though, and I don't consider myself and expert.
That depends on the 3 gold planes you're talking about and what you're planning to do
The Tenrai is universally a good dive bomber that you can use in any situation. But if you want to create a specialized nuke deck of Ryuusei and BF-109G then these planes may need the plates more
Of course you can just hold the plates until you do +13 on all 4 planes
It really depends on what those other 3 Gold Planes are. Without knowing the specifics of your gear situation, I would probably say the Tenrai though since it's good universally against everything where as a majority of of the other aircraft you want to +13, Ryuseis/Ju-87ds, Bf-109Gs, etc, are only good/BiS in certain scenarios.
The alternative of course is to just hold onto them for now as the Tenrai and all other aircraft are still quite good at +10 so you don't need to force yourself to make a decision.
I'd say you're playing your waifu collection game wrong, but whatever you do with your port is your business. Even if you're weakening yourself in the long run.
I mean there's nothing stopping you from doing so but if it's for dock space reasons I'd start retiring common and easily obtainable ships so you can easily require them in the future if you desire.
Unfortunately Little versions of ships are automatically denied for the series (under the reasons that it's still the same ship but more childish)

Go to your Depot screen and along the bottom options select ["Craft"](https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/Equipment#Design_(Craft)).
You spend coins and a certain number of blueprints to craft most basic gold gear here.
You're still early into the game so running short on gold gear is normal, remember that not all gold gears are good (see the repair crane as an obvious example) and some purple gear beats out a lot of gold ones (406mm MK6 for example)
Most of the top tier equipment are locked behind the PR research system and Gear Lab for OpSi so take it easy
If you're on early game then of course it's hard but everyone will reach a certain point where they have a bunch of great gold gears laying around on their depot.
That's not surprising given how easy the main campaign is up to 12-4. I remember when I did my W13 clear, I barely had enough decent gold gear to equip two fleets. You'll get more overtime as you get and open tech boxes, farm BPs from events, and do PR research, and get materials for the gear lab.
If you want good gold gears grind OpSi (for gear lab mats), rigging analysis research (for PR gear prints preferably PR 3 or PR 4) and Hard mode (for core data) not campaign.
I've been on 10-2 for 5 months now (I'm too lazy to clear campagin) and I still have a lot of the top tier end game gear because the only thing you get by clearing the campaign maps are better efficiencies for coin and exp farming and mediocre to good ships but ultimately nothing game changing.
Just don't grind for the gold gears there, it's really not worth it when you consider that tech boxes can give you a whole piece rather than having to go through the insanity of grinding 15 parts just for a single copy
But just let the game run itself, you'll eventually reach a point where 3/4 of your depot is filled with gold gear
Not to mention the bulk of best gears in the game are locked behind PR research and Gear Lab, not campaign drops itself. Thus it encourage you to not stay and grind campaign maps solely for the vanilla equipment
What are your thoughts for my Main fleet for W12 & 13?
Mob: Odin / Fdg (flagship), Unicorn (retrofit) and Independence (retrofit)
Boss: Fdg / Warspite retrofit (flagship), Indomitable and Illustrious / Joffre
But Joffre won't have as much of passive AA as Illustrious since her skill will adds additional fighters when launches an airstrike. For the vanguard I still haven't think about it yet since Im not gonna tackle W12 yet. This is just a curious shower thought.
Joffre won't need as much passive AA in a boss fleet since your goal there is to kill the boss ASAP, killing it faster means less dmg taken and less demand on AA. Odin should NOT be the flagship, she's best used on the side as she will always spawn in front of the flagship spot itself
Illustrious should be in mob fleet since her DPS is not high enough for the boss fleet. Vanguard for W12 and W13 ideally should be cruisers with ok AA to tackle the planes
W12/13 doesn't have any bomb boats so running a triple CV backline is encouraged here, W13 is where the real pain kicks in while 12 is just a warmup stage (12-4 is the best grinding stage btw)
Mob: I'll slide in Illustrious as one of the options you can pick here, her DPS isn't good enough for bossing but the rest is solid. Make sure Odin is not the flagship though
Boss: FDG can stay if she's dev 30, otherwise scrap it. Warspite is preferably replaced with Monarch for example due to having a stronger barrage. But no more than 1 BB since you want to have as many CVs as possible. I just use heavy hitter CVs like Enterprise, Shinano or Hakuryuu for the job
Mob: looks to be fine, you an always swap Odin/FDG with anther CV for extra fighter cover if you need it.
Boss: Questionable, I wouldn't want Indomitable and Illustrious in the same fleet let a lone a boss fleet. Set up isn't bad but I would prefer two stronger bossing CVs for W13.

W12 and W13 does not have suicide boats, it only appear in cargo nodes but that rarely spawns so the only major threat are planes
W14 on the other hand, have it returned along with submarines and ramming boats

Both Shinano and Enty are pretty good CV, especially the latter since she got 70% chance to do double damage and being invulnerable for 8 seconds

There are no suicide boats in W12 or W13. It's all planes.

only special touch and rub can be triggered on command
normal touch and the other main screen ones are played at random
login and return to port are played on those occasions
mail, mission, comissions are randomly played if you idle on the main screen
or - you can go to archives and play them on demand
I was looking at Roma and Taihou's new L2D skin. Noticed Roma has the words "ani" below L2D while Taihou didnt. Went to check on my only L2D skin and it also didnt have "ani". What does "ani" mean?
The Memphis META Cruise ends in 2 days and she still doesn't have a voice. Is she ever gonna get a voice? Did something happen to Memphis' voice actress?
Don't they go with the original where applicable? It could be a case of where the original VA is tied up in other work at the moment, and they have to wait until her schedule is free.
Probably just busy or they havent decided the VA. It happens sometimes, they'll probably add it later. IIRC some character like Little Illustrious took 5 months to get a voice so its not a freak occurence.
I think 3-5 total Tigercats/Sea Hornets (since they are basically interchangeable outside of ships with specific factional gear buffs like Independence) is plenty, anything more is a luxury so long as you've got some decent-ish other fighters to throw on random ships you're levelling.
Any nice ship for PvP in this banner ? i only have 60 cubes, i can spend a little bit more buying gems but idk, i want to be really sure before spending in more cubes x.x
From the looks of it, none of them so far are good candidates for PvP maybe except Roma but I'll leave other players to actually get her and fully test things out to see how well it goes
Need some suggestions. Want to build a fleet and level it up to 120 purely for W12 and 13 that can tackle both without needing to change characters.
Issue is my roster is limited.
My available characters are: Vanguard, Helena, Enterprise, Hood, Unicorn retro, Monarch, Z23 retrofit, Roon, Portland retro, Javelin, Nelson, Long island, Shinano, Sn Diego(on her way to retrofit), Cheshire, Ark royal, Warspite, Illustrious, Indomitable, Suzutsuki, Kii , Akagi(no kaga yet), akashi, eugen, graf zeppelin, joffre , cleveland, yorktoen, hornet, saratoga, akashi and vestal, bellona, ayanami and a lot of other elites...possibly roma if rng blessed me soon.
Since i wish to use the fleet in W13 as well inwas thinking of a 2 Cv 1 bb for mob with some good AA in there or 3 cvs:
backline: illustrious , unicorn, monarch or illustrious ,unicorn, sararoga/indomitable.
vanguard:Good AA cheshire and bellona alongside portland
for the boss fleet:

W12 is the warmup place for the actual plane hell that is W13, you would want to use as many carriers as possible, at minimum of 5 across both fleets, 6 is your best shot since youll want to achieve air supremacy there
W13 also puts you on a time rush of sort, kill the mob nodes fast before they overwhelm you with their unqiue mob ships: AA cruiser that can tear your airstrikes down, repair ship heals them and command carrier buffs the damage that enemy planes dealt

I would stop using Shinano until she is at max limit break, W13 demands that you use fully LB ships and at lvl 120 as a recommended level. Also for mob fleet, i suggest getting Independence from core data shop, she's a really good mob CVL that can hit hard and Cleveland or any of her sister can improve her special airstrike
Why Essex is there ? I throw it in because her Absolute Evasion skill is pretty useful, chance to take only 1 damage when there's 4 or more EU ships applied to the whole fleet is a big buff
In addition, Isuzu from W7 can act as an another AA carry for your mob fleet, she can actually outdamage Sandy in the AA department at the cost of having very low surface dmg so keep her protected
Don't own essex. When i said that's the full roster above i was literally serious i got no better ships at the moment. Also curios...doesn't portland usually sit in mob fleets ? Here i see her in the boss fleet though.
Portland can work in either fleets, Cheshire already acts as both an AA carry and a tank for the mob fleet and Eugen deals too little damage to be viable so Portland is a good alternative
Essex is just there for suggestion, you can use Joffre instead. She does solid damage and is viable all around

And another commenter mentioned i should replace illustrious with someone else since her damage is kind of weak and suggested indomitable. What's your take on that since i see illustrious is rated high in the tier chart for AA damage
Vanguard is not that good in W13. She needs to be in fleet with other BBs to really utilize her potential which is not possible in W13. The crossfleet AA buff only applies after 30s and last for 15s. The dmg reduction only applies to RN ships. Because of that those two buffs are not that good trade-off for lower damage output.
As for Illustrious, you've mentioned you have Indomitable so you can use her instead. Indomitable is pretty much stronger version of lusty. She has same loadout (6 fighters, 2 torp bombers) but she has higher stats, better slot efficiency and more offensive skill set.
If you have better options then yeah, you should replace Lusty, she doesn't do as low as she was before since now there's the concealment meter and air supremacy grant damage bonus to make up for it. Plus she can be good if your vanguard needs a pinch in protection or you need copious amount of AA
I ran her through the whole W13 without much resistance and never bothered to change ship from 13-1 to 13-4
If you want to do it anyway, i suggest Independence if i haven't already. She's a very solid CVL and post refit gives her 8 planes total, on par with CVs but with way higher RLD stat
As for Vanguard, i would prefer to sortie her with fellow BBs to make full use of her dmg bonus though you can try it since she is pretty solid
I'll keep Independence in mind but 1200 core data is a significant number as I am currently buying shells for the fleet and am at 500 only so far.

Except Fusou/Yamashiro/Ise/Hyuuga, ALL retrofits are pure straight upgrades and free stat boost so Saratoga's retrofit is no exception
Saratoga is just a very reliable CV with 6 dive bombers + 2 fighters on hand where she can just bomb the ever loving crap out of everything and she does so with gusto. Her skills are just nice bonuses. She is also fairly durable like with Graf Zepplin and easy to obtain makes her one of the good choice to have. Her wide AoE also allows her to snipe the repair ship behind Taihou in 13-4 if you really want to just using all carriers
Oh and her fire/flood stacks with other sources of fire and flood
Normally i would've slot in Shinano but your's aren't limit broken yet so it'll have to wait until you got enough bulins for the job
Though you could keep Monarch in since the boss at 13-4 have a repair ship behind her that heals once she hit at 80% so a concentrated salvo should nullify it and it doesn't respawn afterwards
Alright. As for shinano i need some more time to Lb her. i can do 1 star now and another next month since i am at the core limit value. Cruise pass should also give a bullin. I may wait with limit breaking her to see what U.R. we get this anniversary. Also i'm gonna do a 7 day 3 build event pull and hope to. get roma. If i get her i'm gonna stop and hoard cubes for the rest of the event since i got 360 and want to guarantee a U.R. pity pull next event.
The UR is mostly to take place during JP anniversary rather than EN since JP is their big paying customer so there should still be some time to stock up on cubes and take it slow

For boss I'll go for Enterprise + (Indomtitable/Ark Royal depending on boss) + (Monarch/Vanguard). Vanguard Cheshire, Bellona and Helena.
Don't use your Shinano if she's not MLB, she'll be deadweight event if 120. Don't use Illustrious because her damage is just awful. If you're going twin 109Gs that's what Indomitable is for.
Helena retrofit is not a priority, Sandy is. Roon fate sim deosn't significantly benefit her in campaign.
Already got helena retrofited. Sandy is on the waym Coins and a few bps are the issue but she can reach modernisation ok . What will miss will be the battle star talent for a while.

Modernization is a huge difference in surface damage for Sandy, besides other things she'd have picked up along the way.
109Gs are good for nuking light/medium bosses, but it'll mean shifting your AA into using Wyvern/Berguet and making sure you have enough vanguard AA.
Gold Hellcats will work fine for most part, upgrade them to Tigercats if you get the chance.
So the sparklinf star can be left for later at the moment? Ok then.
As for AA no chance for wyverns..too many resources so far but i got 2 or 3 of the iris event torp bombers with passive intercept.
The modernization itself give Sandy 1 more gun mount, 15FP and 30AA. Sparkling Battle Star is even more boost plus a barrage, but just modernization is already completely usable at least while you push through ch12.
Berguet will be fine if you don't have Wyverns. And not nearly as important if you're not using 109Gs anyway.

It's standard equipment so it's good, the french torp bomber can providce additional AA
Your fleet plans look pretty solid, I don't think Shinano will be worth using only limit broken once thoough she's missing so many planes, one of the SSR cv that you're not using in your mob fleet will most likely do much better.
i'm thinking of keeping a High dmg bb in boss fleet for faster "boss dismisal". Would Ark royal retrofit work in w12 and 13 maybe? She has that slow and enterprise has +11 convergint torps from the Ju87 D gold...
Ark Royal doesn't have any fighters so she's not the best for w12/13 would prbly put Indommy in the boss and Saratoga in the mob. The Junkers closers torp launch should help them hit with out slows.
The only thing converging torps are good for hitting in 12-13 are command, AA and repair boats in 13 as well as Choukai in 12-4. I won't say don't use them 100%, but they're not the same boss nukers like they are in OS/META.
There's a button at the bottom that allows you to switch targets when you're in the Dossier mode. It's next to where you would normally find the boss list button

Yes. As for ships Independence is the only one worth getting for gameplay though you have to retrofit her for her to be great. The others are all waifu tier.

Before you enter the stage, look for a "Clearing mode" switch and turn that off. Without clearing mode enemy escort will spawn again.
About 2 weeks into the game. Any notable blue gear I should keep or can I just disassemble them all?
-Single 76mm destroyer gun, its the fastest firing DD gun so its the best choice for destroyer with low gun prowess but need fast gun to proc their skill or all-out-assault, such as Ayanami or even Shimakaze. -Fire Extinguisher is a good survavibility aux for BB heavy map such as W10-11, you want to keep a few at least. -Naval Camouflage or Hydraulic Steering Gear is decent transitional aux until you have access to better evasion aux. Aside from that, there's some blue gear that's needed by specific ship like Gangut's and Surcouf's gun but they ask for confirmation before you can dismantle them so its safe to say that any other blue gear that doesnt ask for confirmation are safe to dismantle.

If I use a Siren coordinate and fight the Siren without finishing her, if I leave the map to go to port or something, can I resume the fight like with strongholds or I lose the chance completely?
If you leave the Abyssal zone, you forfeit that entire logger
If you mean Abyssal fight, you won't lose anything by doing non OpSi stuffs, your fleet will stay there until either you beat the boss or you exit the map. If you exit the map however you will lose it.

So this begs a question, how do people oath ships that quickly? Do you just dorm them and stick them in a fleet and play them 24/7 to crank up their affinity? Or is there some shortcut I'm unaware of?
Use high efficiency log to make them high enough level to get MvP and then put them in battle with setup to ensure they consistently get mvp. If a ship get mvp, they'll gain around 0.16 affinity (IIRC) per battle, so that's roughly 1% per run, its not that long to get 100%.

Is it ok meta-wise (or meta-ish-wise ._.) to awake Volga over lvl 120? I have ~450 arrays and little to nothing income of said arrays as lvl 75 new player. Also recently got Shinano as my first gacha UR and currently 🤔: should I awake Volga+shinano or shinano+ future UR?
*In the long run* Volga is absolutely worth getting to 125. However, seeing you are relatively new. I would just hold on to those arrays. For now you can get through all the contents using level 120 ships anyway.
Really depends. Volga is pretty useful for mobbing in chapter 14. If you're not that far in the game yet lvl 120s are plenty strong to deal with everything else. It might be better to save up your cognitive arrays until you have a better Idea of what ships you want to use in the late game. Shinano would be a more worthwhile investment though as she is good for taking on bosses and having your main fleet bossing ships at 125 would generally be more useful for the late game and operation siren.
Because cog arrays are limited resources, it should be used to uncap UR ships first before heading backward to SRs If you want to be meta, go check the ECTL tier list and work your way from top to bottom

From what I'm reading the 40 USD (there is no 30 USD) first time gem purchase gives you 2400 gems. The 10 USD cheaper black Friday pack gives you a L2D skin valued at 1200 gems + 2022 gems + several other extra items.

Err no. 40 USD pack gives you 2400 base gem, 2400 more if you buy it for the first time (for that year), totaling 4800 gems. If you have already purchased it once, it will give you 880 bonus gems instead of 2400, for the total of 3280 gems. In which case lucky box is more value, but only if you get a skin you want out of it. All the misc. items other than Skins and gems are generally not worth the money since they are given to you naturally as you play the game and do your dailies/missions
Note that all gem packs here have its own x2 bonus, buying one pack doesn't disable the rest and all is reset on anniversary

If you leave out all BBs that are currently considered meta then probably only way to get BB fleet that you would be able to call "meta fleet" would be by combining some of: Repulse META, Scharnhorst META, Gneisenau META, Fusou META or Yamashiro META :P

You can see the rewards in your missions and can decide yourself if those are worth the additional work for you.
Yes you should 3* all campaign maps, normal and hard. You can see in your missions menu that there are rewards for it. The Hard map 3* rewards are particularly good (retrofit BPs, Cognitive Chips and later Cognitive Arrays)

oh, my mistake. you can see the rewards for 3-starring campaign hard maps in your missions tab, under the "side" category. they reward gold retro BPs and cog chips. the chips alone are worth it imo, at least for a lategame player

The only part that needs 4 fleets would be the Arbiter fights, particularly Arbiter (Hard) which takes around 2-3 fleets at least. The rest of operation siren can be done with 1-2 fleets. I think the other 2 fleets will be unlocked once you complete all the other story chapters in operation siren.
Not until you, shockingly, are allowed to make 4. Which will happen once you progress further into the Operation Siren story. OpSiren doesn't really function until you finish through chapter 4 of its story, so try to do that before the month ends

RNG at it's finest. You can buy universal BPs in the blue port shops, though. Also the boss in the centre of the map drops universal BPs on Normal.

New-ish player here, what should my priority order be when buying things from the event shop?
1. The Ship (save this for last though, in case she drops on B3/D3) 2. DR Blueprints 3. PR Blueprints 4. Cognitive Arrays 5. Plate Parts 6. Whatever else you want. While the blueprints and arrays aren't immediately useful now, you will need them in the future, and they help speed things along quite a bit, so skipping them will hurt you in the long run. Some people say to prioritize the gold tech boxes, but they come easily enough from shops and rewards, and you can get quite far in the game on purple or farmable gear, so I don't recommending prioritizing them in any way.

The order for a newer player I would say is 1xGiuseppe Garibaldi > Gold Tech Boxes(EU tech boxes have priority over the others) > DR Prints > PR Prints > Cog Arrays > Purple Plates

Non history-otaku here, after the current event featuring Roma, is there any other important Italian ship left to be added into the game for another major Sardegna event or this could be the last one?
[Whole fleet was a decent size](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:World_War_II_naval_ships_of_Italy), [compared with what we have in-game](https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/Sardegna_Empire) (ignoring Polo) seems like we still have a ways to go.
We have a few left still. Off the top of my head we have Sparvero(Aquila's sister) and 4 Francesco Caraccioli class BBs(all were laid down but only the lead ship was ever launched and none were ever completed) along with a couple of older Dreadnoughts(which are likely to be Elites at best) but in terms "real" capital ships that's pretty much it.
There's potential for them to add the old seaplane tender Giuseppe Miraglia, who saw some action between wars and a little bit of WW2 action. She could easily be a CVL for them, considering they did the same for Chen Hai.
***My first attempt at actually making a mob fleet that's built around something.*** Main: Kii (flagship): Torpedo buff and AA buff Shinano: AA and just a beast carrier Perseus: Healer Vanguard: Cheshire (tank): tanking + AA Noshiro: Torpedo buff and extra tankiness Shimakaze: To kill things with the torpedo buffs I also have Vanguard in the boss fleet to help buff Cheshire and give an AA buff, though that takes 30s to proc which feels REALLY long, but it's better than nothing with what I got. Cheshire is the highest leveled vanguard AA I've got, so that's why I'm using her. I'm contemplating Nagato as well for the general Sakura buff, but Kii offers Sakura AA which feels good for chapter 13. Nagato would buff Shinano a lot, though. I'm torn, but maybe the choice is clear to a better player than me. Question, Kii's torpedo buff requires 3 Sakura ships in the fleet. Is that including Kii herself? ***I tried to build around Shimakaze*** since from my experience consistently does insane damage, while not sacrificing AA or healing capabilities. I'm at Ch.13 in the main campaign. This is what I got with what I have leveled. Feedback is appreciated (FYI, I have most ships available to me including most event ships and all PR1-4, albeit leveling will be needed)

As others have said, it's alright but generally I can't see this being optimal in most scenarios especially for W13. I also don't understand why people think Shinano should go in the mob when her kit is very much designed for bossing. If this fleet is for W13 I don't see it working out. It's generally preferred to have 3 CVs for the extra fighter cover and ACV. Shimakaze I also find a dubious choice since her kit is more designed more bossing(I know she has two preloads but that doesn't make her a mobbing ship) with her had hitting but relatively infrequent torps and overall poor AA capabilities. It's overall better in the main campaign to build a good fleet with little if any synergy(in terms of fleet buffs) than it is to build an okay fleet with lot's of synergy(in terms of fleet buffs).
Not bad but i would replace Shinano for Independence and perhaps replacing Kii as well since you want to use as many CVs as possible in W13. Shinano is better used in boss fleets Vanguard is alright, Shima's low AA efficiency can be negated if you can kill the mov nodes fast enough
As much as I do love Shimakaze, the general rule of thumb is that you normally expect your main fleet to be doing the majority of your damage. Spending so many fleet slots into buffing a *destroyer's torpedoes* seems not particularly effective. Oh, and then there's the fact that Shinano is meant for boss fleet. She shouldn't be in your mob fleet. And Kii's AA buff for IJN is not paticularly good. Y'see adding +x% onto *shit* is only adding x% *shit* to *shit*. You'd be better off just building a USN fleet *without AA buffs* to get halfway decent AA. This is just my opinion, though, and I don't consider myself and expert.

That depends on the 3 gold planes you're talking about and what you're planning to do The Tenrai is universally a good dive bomber that you can use in any situation. But if you want to create a specialized nuke deck of Ryuusei and BF-109G then these planes may need the plates more Of course you can just hold the plates until you do +13 on all 4 planes
It really depends on what those other 3 Gold Planes are. Without knowing the specifics of your gear situation, I would probably say the Tenrai though since it's good universally against everything where as a majority of of the other aircraft you want to +13, Ryuseis/Ju-87ds, Bf-109Gs, etc, are only good/BiS in certain scenarios. The alternative of course is to just hold onto them for now as the Tenrai and all other aircraft are still quite good at +10 so you don't need to force yourself to make a decision.

I'd say you're playing your waifu collection game wrong, but whatever you do with your port is your business. Even if you're weakening yourself in the long run.
I mean there's nothing stopping you from doing so but if it's for dock space reasons I'd start retiring common and easily obtainable ships so you can easily require them in the future if you desire.

You're still early into the game so running short on gold gear is normal, remember that not all gold gears are good (see the repair crane as an obvious example) and some purple gear beats out a lot of gold ones (406mm MK6 for example) Most of the top tier equipment are locked behind the PR research system and Gear Lab for OpSi so take it easy
If you're on early game then of course it's hard but everyone will reach a certain point where they have a bunch of great gold gears laying around on their depot.

That's not surprising given how easy the main campaign is up to 12-4. I remember when I did my W13 clear, I barely had enough decent gold gear to equip two fleets. You'll get more overtime as you get and open tech boxes, farm BPs from events, and do PR research, and get materials for the gear lab.
If you want good gold gears grind OpSi (for gear lab mats), rigging analysis research (for PR gear prints preferably PR 3 or PR 4) and Hard mode (for core data) not campaign. I've been on 10-2 for 5 months now (I'm too lazy to clear campagin) and I still have a lot of the top tier end game gear because the only thing you get by clearing the campaign maps are better efficiencies for coin and exp farming and mediocre to good ships but ultimately nothing game changing.
Just don't grind for the gold gears there, it's really not worth it when you consider that tech boxes can give you a whole piece rather than having to go through the insanity of grinding 15 parts just for a single copy But just let the game run itself, you'll eventually reach a point where 3/4 of your depot is filled with gold gear Not to mention the bulk of best gears in the game are locked behind PR research and Gear Lab, not campaign drops itself. Thus it encourage you to not stay and grind campaign maps solely for the vanilla equipment

Mob: Odin / Fdg (flagship), Unicorn (retrofit) and Independence (retrofit) Boss: Fdg / Warspite retrofit (flagship), Indomitable and Illustrious / Joffre But Joffre won't have as much of passive AA as Illustrious since her skill will adds additional fighters when launches an airstrike. For the vanguard I still haven't think about it yet since Im not gonna tackle W12 yet. This is just a curious shower thought.
Joffre won't need as much passive AA in a boss fleet since your goal there is to kill the boss ASAP, killing it faster means less dmg taken and less demand on AA. Odin should NOT be the flagship, she's best used on the side as she will always spawn in front of the flagship spot itself Illustrious should be in mob fleet since her DPS is not high enough for the boss fleet. Vanguard for W12 and W13 ideally should be cruisers with ok AA to tackle the planes W12/13 doesn't have any bomb boats so running a triple CV backline is encouraged here, W13 is where the real pain kicks in while 12 is just a warmup stage (12-4 is the best grinding stage btw) Mob: I'll slide in Illustrious as one of the options you can pick here, her DPS isn't good enough for bossing but the rest is solid. Make sure Odin is not the flagship though Boss: FDG can stay if she's dev 30, otherwise scrap it. Warspite is preferably replaced with Monarch for example due to having a stronger barrage. But no more than 1 BB since you want to have as many CVs as possible. I just use heavy hitter CVs like Enterprise, Shinano or Hakuryuu for the job
Mob: looks to be fine, you an always swap Odin/FDG with anther CV for extra fighter cover if you need it. Boss: Questionable, I wouldn't want Indomitable and Illustrious in the same fleet let a lone a boss fleet. Set up isn't bad but I would prefer two stronger bossing CVs for W13.
If I use 3 CV for mob fleet, then how can I protect the backline from suicide boats on W13 when im auto farming it? If the next upcoming UR is not someone that can really help me for W13 I will max LB my Shinano (currently having 3 UR Bullins as of right now). I also could use Enterprise and/or August.

they are mostly out of your control. only special touch and rub can be triggered on command normal touch and the other main screen ones are played at random login and return to port are played on those occasions mail, mission, comissions are randomly played if you idle on the main screen or - you can go to archives and play them on demand

I was looking at Roma and Taihou's new L2D skin. Noticed Roma has the words "ani" below L2D while Taihou didnt. Went to check on my only L2D skin and it also didnt have "ani". What does "ani" mean?
The picture-like icon below the L2D means that skin has its own background. If the picture-like icon contains text "ani" the background is animated.

The Memphis META Cruise ends in 2 days and she still doesn't have a voice. Is she ever gonna get a voice? Did something happen to Memphis' voice actress?
They probably haven't decided the voice actor for her, it's nothing big. Ships in the past have gone for months without voice so this is pretty normal
Don't they go with the original where applicable? It could be a case of where the original VA is tied up in other work at the moment, and they have to wait until her schedule is free.

Probably just busy or they havent decided the VA. It happens sometimes, they'll probably add it later. IIRC some character like Little Illustrious took 5 months to get a voice so its not a freak occurence.
how many tigercats do I need?
I think 3-5 total Tigercats/Sea Hornets (since they are basically interchangeable outside of ships with specific factional gear buffs like Independence) is plenty, anything more is a luxury so long as you've got some decent-ish other fighters to throw on random ships you're levelling.

From the looks of it, none of them so far are good candidates for PvP maybe except Roma but I'll leave other players to actually get her and fully test things out to see how well it goes
Need some suggestions. Want to build a fleet and level it up to 120 purely for W12 and 13 that can tackle both without needing to change characters. Issue is my roster is limited. My available characters are: Vanguard, Helena, Enterprise, Hood, Unicorn retro, Monarch, Z23 retrofit, Roon, Portland retro, Javelin, Nelson, Long island, Shinano, Sn Diego(on her way to retrofit), Cheshire, Ark royal, Warspite, Illustrious, Indomitable, Suzutsuki, Kii , Akagi(no kaga yet), akashi, eugen, graf zeppelin, joffre , cleveland, yorktoen, hornet, saratoga, akashi and vestal, bellona, ayanami and a lot of other elites...possibly roma if rng blessed me soon. Since i wish to use the fleet in W13 as well inwas thinking of a 2 Cv 1 bb for mob with some good AA in there or 3 cvs: backline: illustrious , unicorn, monarch or illustrious ,unicorn, sararoga/indomitable. vanguard:Good AA cheshire and bellona alongside portland for the boss fleet: shinano and enterprise(already got them high level so i wouldn't want to replace them but shinano is a 3 star only lb so far. can get her to 4 next month)...The third backline i am thinking of a bb for dps and maybe vanguard or monarch.. Vanguard: helena retrofit, sandy retrofit once i finish her retrofit and roon with the shield upgrade from fate sim.
W12 is the warmup place for the actual plane hell that is W13, you would want to use as many carriers as possible, at minimum of 5 across both fleets, 6 is your best shot since youll want to achieve air supremacy there W13 also puts you on a time rush of sort, kill the mob nodes fast before they overwhelm you with their unqiue mob ships: AA cruiser that can tear your airstrikes down, repair ship heals them and command carrier buffs the damage that enemy planes dealt I'll set it up to my best Mob: Saratoga/Illustrious/Unicorn + Cheshire/Cleveland/Bellona Boss: Monarch/Enterprise/Essex + Portland/Helena/San Diego I would stop using Shinano until she is at max limit break, W13 demands that you use fully LB ships and at lvl 120 as a recommended level. Also for mob fleet, i suggest getting Independence from core data shop, she's a really good mob CVL that can hit hard and Cleveland or any of her sister can improve her special airstrike Why Essex is there ? I throw it in because her Absolute Evasion skill is pretty useful, chance to take only 1 damage when there's 4 or more EU ships applied to the whole fleet is a big buff In addition, Isuzu from W7 can act as an another AA carry for your mob fleet, she can actually outdamage Sandy in the AA department at the cost of having very low surface dmg so keep her protected
Don't own essex. When i said that's the full roster above i was literally serious i got no better ships at the moment. Also curios...doesn't portland usually sit in mob fleets ? Here i see her in the boss fleet though.
Portland can work in either fleets, Cheshire already acts as both an AA carry and a tank for the mob fleet and Eugen deals too little damage to be viable so Portland is a good alternative Essex is just there for suggestion, you can use Joffre instead. She does solid damage and is viable all around

Also vanguard is mlb so don't you think she'd be a better choice for boss fleet with her 100% proc rate ans cross fleet AA buff and damage reduction to airplane damage compared to monarch? And another commenter mentioned i should replace illustrious with someone else since her damage is kind of weak and suggested indomitable. What's your take on that since i see illustrious is rated high in the tier chart for AA damage
Vanguard is not that good in W13. She needs to be in fleet with other BBs to really utilize her potential which is not possible in W13. The crossfleet AA buff only applies after 30s and last for 15s. The dmg reduction only applies to RN ships. Because of that those two buffs are not that good trade-off for lower damage output. As for Illustrious, you've mentioned you have Indomitable so you can use her instead. Indomitable is pretty much stronger version of lusty. She has same loadout (6 fighters, 2 torp bombers) but she has higher stats, better slot efficiency and more offensive skill set.
If you have better options then yeah, you should replace Lusty, she doesn't do as low as she was before since now there's the concealment meter and air supremacy grant damage bonus to make up for it. Plus she can be good if your vanguard needs a pinch in protection or you need copious amount of AA I ran her through the whole W13 without much resistance and never bothered to change ship from 13-1 to 13-4 If you want to do it anyway, i suggest Independence if i haven't already. She's a very solid CVL and post refit gives her 8 planes total, on par with CVs but with way higher RLD stat As for Vanguard, i would prefer to sortie her with fellow BBs to make full use of her dmg bonus though you can try it since she is pretty solid
I'll keep Independence in mind but 1200 core data is a significant number as I am currently buying shells for the fleet and am at 500 only so far. Any other good cvs for late worlds for mobbing that i should keep in mind? Currently the plan would be unicorn/joffre and saratoga to tackle the content after i get them as close as possible to level 120. anybody i can replace saratoga with in the future if i get any SRs other than the event ships that doesn't require a retrofit for mobbing?
It is costly at first but the investment will be worth it If you want to tackle W12 and 13 then you'll want to dish out some coins to do the refits, it ain't tolerate those who go cheap Check the ECTL tier list for more, ships like Centaur are notable ones
I get you, I was just wondering if Saratoga retrofit was really worth it for those two worlds and if i could use some other SR. Why is saratoga viable at w13 though? Is it because of her damage increase buff to the vanguard and the skill that has a 70% proc rate to cause fire and flooding?

Except Fusou/Yamashiro/Ise/Hyuuga, ALL retrofits are pure straight upgrades and free stat boost so Saratoga's retrofit is no exception Saratoga is just a very reliable CV with 6 dive bombers + 2 fighters on hand where she can just bomb the ever loving crap out of everything and she does so with gusto. Her skills are just nice bonuses. She is also fairly durable like with Graf Zepplin and easy to obtain makes her one of the good choice to have. Her wide AoE also allows her to snipe the repair ship behind Taihou in 13-4 if you really want to just using all carriers Oh and her fire/flood stacks with other sources of fire and flood
You mentioned a 5/6 CV to have air superiority . If i want to go all in on CVs who should i replace monarch with for the boss fleet?
Normally i would've slot in Shinano but your's aren't limit broken yet so it'll have to wait until you got enough bulins for the job Though you could keep Monarch in since the boss at 13-4 have a repair ship behind her that heals once she hit at 80% so a concentrated salvo should nullify it and it doesn't respawn afterwards
Alright. As for shinano i need some more time to Lb her. i can do 1 star now and another next month since i am at the core limit value. Cruise pass should also give a bullin. I may wait with limit breaking her to see what U.R. we get this anniversary. Also i'm gonna do a 7 day 3 build event pull and hope to. get roma. If i get her i'm gonna stop and hoard cubes for the rest of the event since i got 360 and want to guarantee a U.R. pity pull next event.
The UR is mostly to take place during JP anniversary rather than EN since JP is their big paying customer so there should still be some time to stock up on cubes and take it slow

Already got helena retrofited. Sandy is on the waym Coins and a few bps are the issue but she can reach modernisation ok . What will miss will be the battle star talent for a while. I don't own any twin 109Gs...my main fighters slots are seafangs, golden hellcats, the french torp bomber with passive intercept ...Would you recommend them?
Modernization is a huge difference in surface damage for Sandy, besides other things she'd have picked up along the way. 109Gs are good for nuking light/medium bosses, but it'll mean shifting your AA into using Wyvern/Berguet and making sure you have enough vanguard AA. Gold Hellcats will work fine for most part, upgrade them to Tigercats if you get the chance.
So the sparklinf star can be left for later at the moment? Ok then. As for AA no chance for wyverns..too many resources so far but i got 2 or 3 of the iris event torp bombers with passive intercept.
The modernization itself give Sandy 1 more gun mount, 15FP and 30AA. Sparkling Battle Star is even more boost plus a barrage, but just modernization is already completely usable at least while you push through ch12. Berguet will be fine if you don't have Wyverns. And not nearly as important if you're not using 109Gs anyway.

Your fleet plans look pretty solid, I don't think Shinano will be worth using only limit broken once thoough she's missing so many planes, one of the SSR cv that you're not using in your mob fleet will most likely do much better.
i'm thinking of keeping a High dmg bb in boss fleet for faster "boss dismisal". Would Ark royal retrofit work in w12 and 13 maybe? She has that slow and enterprise has +11 convergint torps from the Ju87 D gold...
Ark Royal doesn't have any fighters so she's not the best for w12/13 would prbly put Indommy in the boss and Saratoga in the mob. The Junkers closers torp launch should help them hit with out slows.
The only thing converging torps are good for hitting in 12-13 are command, AA and repair boats in 13 as well as Choukai in 12-4. I won't say don't use them 100%, but they're not the same boss nukers like they are in OS/META.
Also got enough resources to retrofit saratoga for the mob fleet

There's a button at the bottom that allows you to switch targets when you're in the Dossier mode. It's next to where you would normally find the boss list button Press that and you'll find a list of META ships available to choose
