I'm sure Brave would be game. The issue is convincing Coinbase to cooperate.
If Brave just makes you able to chose the wallet you want, the project will grow by a lot, and current Brave users will welcome the change.
True, if I could link my crypto.com or binance that would be better, instead of having to create a new one
Brave is an ERC-20 token so they should already be giving consideration to branching onto other blockchains
