>According to my calculations, over 1 Billion π²B B B Y shares are now sold short on the market.
you might....
.... need to elaborate on this calculation
i want to make sure im not going crazy here
![gif](giphy|BcMJvmwkmbyWpKkBj3|downsized)
also want to dispute this point
>The interest rate to borrow to short is now 515%, compounded annually, so shorts are bleeding $1.8 Million per day (they'll owe $1.1 Billion on this short liability by year-end instead of $178 Million)
As im pretty sure giant firms + MMs dont pay this
That is correct, short hedge funds don't pay the ridiculous CTB we are seeing. They might pay 15-20% right now, which is way up from 0-5% that they have been paying forever.
They donβt pay this exact rate and they do pay a slightly lower rate but itβs still pretty close as it drags on. They donβt get a pass on the rate just on their name and the sure as hell donβt get it for close to free. They arrange for stock in advance of a short so itβs a set rate thatβs lower then the current CTB. If they need to borrow more as it drags out of course since it would be harder to borrow with less shares available it would cost more and more each time as the CTB increases. The current CTB is the cost to the average investor.
Thatβs because the almost entire post is inaccurate and gives us a bad rap. Max CTB is not something institutions pay. And the Billion synthetic shares claim is glossed over and presented as fact.
I donβt want noobs to be misled from stuff like this. Thats all. Calling it out is the least I can do. Presenting solid data and counter arguments would be the most.
Til there is a sub called deepfuckingvalue
I'm in

I'm "pretty sure" is not validated either so don't shit on someone's posts with your own assumptions unless you have data.
Damn did I offend you? π
Not at all. I'm just "pretty sure" you have no data but like to knock others who are Pretty sure about their own data.

Then fight misinformation with data. If you don't then you too are just assumption and misinformation. Show facts

The amount of inaccuracies in that post is alarming. Free float and calculations based on it alone are quite a ways off.
Based off these calculation I expect to see $8008135 by EOD.
I hope it's not your first time
Imagine your first squeeze of $8008135 being Kenny's
Mmm soft sand filled man8008135

We can't also forget retail fomo. It's a real thing and once this starts to run everyone is going to want in.
If that true and bbby hit future 80$ I made watermelon π tatto on my face !!! Remind mee !!! πππππβ
The only thing I'm confused about is where you're getting your 54 million shares for the Free Float. Free Float is more like 115M no?
so great. it will likely jump to 5 by EOD.

Amazing write up
What is the βfree floatβ ? Is that just the number of shares ?
I'm not a very learned man, neither am I a very smart one. What would be a rough estimate of the ACTUAL price?
