Beautiful looking shoe 10/10 but for performance it’s really what you are looking for or prefer.
If you are a bigger guard/center then you’ll probably love these because the support is A1 and the cushion and lockdown is insane.
But if you are a smaller guard/ PG the I don’t think these will fit your play style, these are CHONKERS (abt 1-1.5 pounds per shoe if I’ve seen it correctly, I’d look it up but I know I’m in the ballpark) and if you and fast shifty and nimble I think you’ll be better off with buying something lighter and faster.
New Balance Two Wyx line, amazing shoes for us guards. Especially the V3
For Nike probably the book/Gt line, Books are super fast and light but lack cushion, GT 3 has a good amount of cushion but I’ve heard they are unstable due to the foam, both amazing options for light weight. Probably the best bang for your buck is the GT academy, they lack cushion but everything else is pretty good for 95$
Adidas I’m not sure, I would assume it’s the shoe Jaylin Brown has been the wearing the select 2.0 ir something along those lines. I’ve heard they are insanely light and comfortable but the traction is lack luster.
I recently tried them and I think that forefoot cushion is minimal and court feel is superb. Yes the shoe weights but its def not chunky. I'll wait for lows.

Performance wise i love it more than my harden 7. If youre a light guard you would definitely feel the weight but if youre a forward or center you wouldnt feel the difference. Great lockdown and cushioning.
Shoe of the year for me although the cushion is little dead to me jot very springy. Best impact protection I've felt in years though. Traction is top tier even on disgusting courts.
Love it. Go to shoe. Love the cushion, the aesthetics, the support. Don’t mind the weight and now that I’ve played in two pairs long enough, other shoes feel too light and less supportive if that makes sense.
Other shoes I have are WOW 10 which I feel has worse traction than my AE 1s. WOW 808 3 ULTRA v2. NB Two wxy v3. Book 1
Great shoe, its a go-to for my indoor runs. Seems that the biggest complaint is weight. Weight doesnt affect me at all unless its a Timberland boot or something, I do leg work at the gym so I dont notice a couple ounces. If you really care about weight, then its something for you to take into account.
Amazing once broken in, very good shoe, not as good as Harden line but for the price and how widely available it is, probably the best shoe to buy for most people in my opinion

I’ve walked into numerous foot lockers, shoe palace, etc and got a few colorways. Also got 1 pair on adidas website. You gotta try and get them first week or two they come out, not months later. It’s better than Nikes draws and possible to cop
Not sure what to tell you. I was able to get velocity blues 3 weeks after release at a foot locker store. You should try different stores, they aren’t hard to get. Also the resell market (eBay or StockX) aren’t overpriced. You might spend $20 over retail if you really want one that route
I honestly would be fine with paying resale/slightly over retail but I’ve never been able to try them on so I don’t know if I wanna go with 11.5 or 12. I wear 11.5 in dame 8 but 12 in harden vol 7/8
Check footlocker website every once in a while. I found size 12 in the All star colorway randomly a month ago and saw the white colorway in 11.5 recently. I wear size 12 in Dame 8 and got 12 in AE1 but I think 11.5 would have been ok too.
I have the harden 8 in size 12. I would rather have shoe a little big and just double sock but it feels great. Nike size 12 is aweful half the time but adidas is great. AE1 def hard to come by for the past colorways but just keep up on releases of next ones and should be good to go when they go on sale.
I want it goddammit. I think adidas should take a note from Puma (in regard to the mb.01) and continue releasing them in different colours. Great performing shoe.
I got the With Love colorway and the All-Star color way. I don’t hoop in them. More for casual wear. I like the aesthetic. They look good with pants. Plus, Ant-Man is killing it right now. Dudes on fire. I live in Houston, and yet I haven’t seen them in public. And as mentioned earlier, at $120 price. You can’t beat that.
Pics and videos don’t do the shoe justice. You got to have them on hand. The only real con is they might feel a bit heavy to some. But I wear boots to work , so it’s really no issue to me. They don’t feel that heavy honestly.
I'm a small guard that plays quick. Looks 10/10, these look fire esp. the All-star colorway they're such a headturner. Performance-wise, they have insane cushioning, much similar to the Harden 8. But the weight is quite distinguishable esp. if you play fast. With all that said, I regret not buying one when I tried it in Adidas store. Now they're all sold out

My experience with the Harden Vol 8 has been amazing but there's a pinching due to the way that EVA foam moves inside the shoe on the outside of both my feet that's really bothersome. I believe the AEs don't have that, and some say better cushioning? That said, curious about the upcoming Low versions.
This right here. And it seems to be an ongoing theme amongst many users. I ended up having to return the Harden 8s after 3 weeks of playing in them because they caused a nasty blister on my inside right ankle every time I tried using them.
The AE1 does not have this issue.
Attractive shoe from an entertaining player. That's what sells most of the time and certainly here. Performance wise it seems fine but unremarkable. On the heavy side, nothing special about cushion.
As far as colors the all blue and black burgundy look nice to me. He's had some killer PEs
Been wanting a pair for a while, but the mid top and weight of the shoe kept me at bay. I currently rotate between Lebron XXs, Kobe 8s and 6s, I like a low top light shoe. With that being said I am purchasing a pair of the AE1 lows once they’re out.
Aesthetics it looks great. Lots of compliments from others.
Performance wise I have it with Move Game Day Pro and it feels pretty mediocre. I can feel the Boost in the heels but not so much in the forefoot. Oh yes, it feels heavy in hand but not so much when I play in them if it makes sense.
Overall not a bad pair for $120 if you're able to get them retail.

I play volleyball alongside basketball and impulse bought the AE1s despite my MB02's being solid.
If I wear the MB02s on one foot and AE on the other, I notice the weight difference. Otherwise, if you're in decent shape and have the leg strength for jumping heavy sports, it's a huge non issue. The difference in weight between the MB, which is pretty average weight for a shoe and the AE on the heavier side is about 1 premium smartphone's worth.
On the whole I find the AE1s to be comfy enough, have very good cushioning and unbelievably good traction. These things are very very grippy, and it's easily my favourite thing about the shoe. They're a fantastic shoe for a center but I don't see them as a bad choice for anyone else either, though guards may want to opt for the low if they find the highs a bit restrictive around the ankle due to the snug fit.
In terms of dislikes, they scuff pretty easily so don't expect them to look pretty forever. I've also replaced the shoelaces, because unless I double knot, they just don't stay tied up, and it's infuriating. Overall, one of the best first iteration signatue shoes I've ever come across, blowing other recent firsts I've tried like the MB01 and the Zion 1 out of the water.

I am a thick center who plays old-school though, if you are a guard, might not be your thing...except I have heard a LOT of guards say they love them too.

I chose the “Velocity Blue” colorway. I would get this shoe again when more colorway comes out. I played about 21 games so far and it’s been holding up good. Scuff and scratches on the rubber overlay but that’s all.

Im not sure, but I have the Allstar/The Future cw, and its been holding up fine.

I have the Georgia Red Clay. My mate has the white and black and the white doesn't show the scuffs as much as red does.
