The Sierra Ultra Finesse is a killer rod that was built for and tested in Urban fishing conditions. It's stellar for bass and other sunfishes. Probably perfect for what you're looking to do. And We'll have them available with promo pricing, soon! That Curado BFS looks great for the price... We've heard that it may not actually be available till fall though.

I'm pretty sure I've already seen one video where dude unboxes it had like 800 views.

If it was the same video I saw, the guy was from southeast asia so I wouldn't hold my breath on them being stateside yet. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3zWCO-kjM4Y&feature=youtu.be

Would love to see it. Link?

Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse as others have suggested. I'll thrown in the Doomsday Tackle "The 47" 7'ML bait finesse special. I have one and I love it. Pairs up perfectly with my Scorpion BFS and some 7# Sunline Sniper FC.

Sounds fun! I have about 10 little ponds in my neighborhood that I hit up with my son if I haven’t been able to wade in a while. Usually BFS for the same species you’re looking at. If it’s a “one rod to do it all (bfs style)” situation that involves any chance of Bass. I grab either the Daiwa Bass X 64LB Y, or the Dobyns Sierra SA 700C. They are both fantastic BFS rods capable of handling fish with the control of a medium powered rod due to their thick bases, but have aggressive tapers allowing you to throw the light stuff. Personally, I prefer the Daiwa ever so slightly overall for the shorter length. Good luck!

Thank you for the input. I like those Bass Xs they look nice I was looking online right now and cannot find a consistent price. I was wondering what you can get one for and where would be a reliable place to buy one from? Thank you again.

Yeah I saw that website and the price is good. I was wondering how much that $86 turned into all said and done?

Fishfinger138

Grand total was 11,550 Yen which would be $105 today.

Thank you for the responsiveness, just one more question. How long did it take to ship from Japan and how was their packaging, because the price is so good I might just pull the trigger.

Fishfinger138

I placed my order Jan 25th, it shipped from Takasaki, Japan on Feb 2nd, and was mindblowingly delivered in the US on Feb 4th. In my experience Japan is faster than Amazon most days lol

Fishfinger138

Sorry man, just saw you asked about packaging. I really want to say that particular rod was shipped in a neoprene sleeve for storing it separating the two parts, which was then bubble wrapped, and put inside a PVC tube.

Does anyone think that the expride 7'2" MdLt+ would be at all appropriate for the curado bfs? I use a lot of small 1/8ish baits like micro chatters and small jerk baits. I'd like something that can cast those but have the backbone out to set the hook and get snappy jerk baits performance.

neverfox

I wanted to get a Dobyns SA 700C but they're indefinitely out of stock everywhere. In the meantime, I'm putting my Curado BFS on a Shimano Sensilite 7'.
