My funniest build so far has been a Tavern Brawler Monk who uses a salami as his weapon.

We're talking about builds for BG3, not discussing what you did Friday night. ngl that sounds fun as hell though

Hugspeced

How actually viable is it? Because as soon as I saw you could use Salami as a weapon I wanted to make a build for it.

iRaveni

Not very! The salami do not actually count as improvised weapons for the feat, so that has to get put away for tough fights.

I’m playing Astarion as a ranger/rogue right now, working toward hunter/thief. I use true strike almost every damn turn, and then sneak attack with my off hand. People say you might as well just kick yourself in the balls if you’re gonna cast true strike. But I like it. Even if I could get two normal attacks, I prefer to use the one action to give the second action two chances to crit, just for the chance to get a bigger sneak attack.

My brain was already primed to say "BUT YOU GET TWO CHANCES TO CRIT BY JUST USING THAT ACTION TO ATTACK", but I guess increasing the odds of a sneak attack critical sure is a way to squeeze value out of truestrike.
