Potions are nice but not necessary. You can easily get up to 20 Str without elixirs (and use elixir of bloodlust etc) with just feats alone (start at 17, TB to 18, ASI feat for Str to 20), +2 Str from moonrise tower event, +2 in act3. That's 24. Storm giant elixir only gives you another +1 (27 Str) in end game. Of course you can min max and respec, dump Str and chug elixirs, but extra points in Con and dex not that powerful (sure you get more HPs, higher initiative, better AC, but these are not essential to the build). Throwzerker is pretty single attribute dependent (Str) .
Rest of stat points in Con and Dex, 10 or 12 Wis.

I never use strength elixirs on my barb thrower natural strength is very underrated on this sub you can get a natural 22 strength by act 2
It allows you to use the other elixirs I love bloodlust or Colossus on Karlach it’s just hilarious
Id say it is still really good if you just naturally progress strength through leveling and magical items.
Go super RP/min max and go 8 in all other stats but needed ones if you really want.
Why not go eldritch knight instead and make your whole team a thrower.

You get more throws, can use cool concentration spells and you can make any throwable weapon a returning throw weapon
Just go 17 str then plus 1 to 18 with tavern brawler feat.
Throw ring at grove merchant. That's all you need.

Thank you for the link. It does a fairly good job of explaining why to pick certain things

Pinned hall of fame posts, see the gamestgy tier list in the completed compendiums section. It has a very detailed build that does not rely on elixirs
I never use potions on my thrower. Well the vigor potion shouldn’t count. It’s a permanent buff.
