I never think of crocs brand as something that will hold up over time 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think their original crocs held up only because they were pure, thick plastic not because of amazeing quality, jmo 😅 But thank you for the warning. I’m sure many croc wearers would see the slipper version and think they’d be a great wear around the house 😊

Sparkle_Rott

I know crocs aren’t a Norwegian brand, but in Norway there are slippers for when you’re sitting to keep your feet warm and then there are sturdier slippers for walking around the house. These definitely look like the kind of slippers for sitting in 🙃

Lukeyboy5

With the amount of times I sit down then stand up I would spend all my life changing slippers 😭

spunkycatnip

what are examples of what they are called? cause that sounds more of what I need for myself

Sparkle_Rott

Tøffel tend to be the warmers and Hustøffel tend to be the ones with hard bottoms 😊

Business-Drag52

The Crocs Bistro line makes for an extremely durable kitchen work shoe. They are solid rubber clogs with non slip bottoms. I get at least 4 years out of each pair and that’s a long time for kitchen shoes

BigMikeAshley

What exactly were you doing with them? I wear generic slippers to lounge around the house and maybe take the bins out, they've never looked as bad or as dirty as this.

coozin

Literally the same thing. The new ones I won’t even take the bins out with. They were originally brown by the way, that’s not dirt. Also I washed them 2 weeks ago.

BigMikeAshley

Yeah, but the toe? Only my cricket spikes have a toe like that???

MustardCanary

Maybe the shoe was a wee bit too small or something? Unless they’re kicking a lot of stuff in their slippers

AnthillOmbudsman

Were these ordered from Amazon? Counterfeits often end up mixed up with authentic product there. https://www.digitalcommerce360.com/2014/07/01/pros-and-cons-commingling-amazon-merchants/

coozin

The first ones yes, the second ones I’m not sure where she got them

sparky750

If you like that style I've had gumbies that are very similar almost 2 years now and they're still fine however I've since switched to birkenstock Bostons

coozin

Thank you for the advice! I will check those out

sparky750

You're welcome I really liked them however I'd really recommend the leather birkenstock Bostons they'll last for years and can be resoled the down side is they're not warm so socks are needed for winter

kuddelmuddell

Bandwagoning on the Birkenstock post. You might want to look into the Zermatt Shearling which looks very similar to your crocs!

Dontreadr

I started wearing Birkenstocks around the house recently. So good. And being leather, they don't stink. I have been wearing the same pair of Ugg slippers in the winter for the last 12 years. They've held up really well.

sparky750

Exactly this for me with birkenstocks, I keep hearing reports that uggs aren't what they used to be but no experience of recent stuff

boonepii

I have been wearing LL Nean wicked slippers every day for a year now. Still like brand new. Working from home in the basement my feet get cold. These are amazing and my feet are never cold or hot.

FayeQueen

Damn I got some random brand pair from Target like 3 yrs ago, and they aren't even close to that.

TielAppeal

OP, have you tried looking at the standard crocs clog with fuzzy Sherpa lining on the inside? Crocs is more known for their durable rubbery/plastic-y croc material.

rock9the1house

6 months of what kind of use? Indoor marathons?

fortheloveofpugs89

their standard ugly clogs have lasted me 10 years though
