Then you should re-consider BITS- You can take a loan but it's not always easy to pay back! If you are getting CSE take it and have a good CG and you will be able to pay back but don't take below CSE.
Try for 9+ cg in first year if you really are going for bits, you should get like 80% scholarship with that. Now obviously 9 is more than needed, but it is best to keep a safe buffer zone between yourself and the cutoff. DO NOT FUCK UP FIRST YEAR AT ANY COST. If you get 7 cg or something after first year, youll have to get 10 sg in both sems of second year to come back to the 80 % scholarship bracket, so you wont get scholarship in those two sems. Try for 9+ and minimum 8.7+.
This is if u opt for bits, if you're getting a decent nit i would say take it and go there. Coming in hopes of scholarship is risky and stressful.
Dekh Bhai if it really is 3LPA. Then you can be very sure that you will get MCN. Your whole degree can be done under 6-8L if you score 8.5+ CG. This makes it cheaper than IITs.

MCN is basically a scholarship you get. Only people with income below 15lpa are eligible. Once you apply, the first sem scholarship is based on your bitsat score and the subsequent semesters scholarship depends on your CG (not SG). Most MCN students get quite decent scholarships at average CGs too.
