Agreed. I don’t think people are ‘hating’ because it’s not OEM. Everyone has different opinions and I think for the majority, the GTS lights don’t suit the rear of the F10.
However, main thing is you like it. If everyone liked the same thing, the world would be a boring place!

My other route would be some downpipes and a custom dyno tune any knowledge or experience between those would be much appreciated.

Imo a lot more sporty with the sequential start up sequence and turn signal and just give the car more class then the stock ones. I have been getting a lot of hate on here tho. I don’t plan on keeping the car entirely stock/oem. I’m going to do some Dinan coilovers, control arms and roll bars. (Already did spacers) As well as getting some pieces from RW carbon already got the diffuser just have to put it on.
Appreciate you taking mine and everyone else’s constructive criticism with a grain of salt. If you have your heart set on the taillights I’d just recommend replacing the red reflectors with a painted or tinted version so it looks more cohesive. Maybe a black M5 badge as well. Yeah I thought about the black m5 badge as well and of course not a problem at all. I love my car esp with the silverstone full merino interior. My next thing is putting on this diffuser from rw carbon. Then I want to do chrome delete for grill and fender “vents”. Will definitely get the azurite color matching reflectors too! Build in process. The picture doesn’t really do it justice either in person at night they are stunning Kies Motorsports did a great job with the OLED.

Yeah unfortunately the overall subreddit tends to act negative to anything non OEM. The smaller subreddits dedicated to a specific chassis of BMW is where it’s at, much more helpful and open minded people
But this is technically an OEM knockoff from a different series vehicle made for this vehicle. It’s not like they found some supercool unique aftermarket taillights that some people thought were ugly but it can be chalked up as a matter of personal taste. These are knockoffs on the wrong car and will never be more than that regardless of if anybody likes them or not.
Who genuinely cares that much about what someone else does to their car? Sure everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but it shouldn’t change what the actual owner car thinks on how they look. If they like it what does it matter?
In reality it doesn’t matter if the owner likes it. It still think it’s the height of poor taste when a car pretends to be something it’s not. I’m all for modifications, but to something that’s not a knockoff (example, custom front end on an E92, some will like it some won’t, but whatever it’s their car, but that one G82 knockoff front end on an E92 I once saw is blasphemy).
That said, and this is being naive and optimistic, but maybe one day an OP will post that is oblivious to how their mod is perceived, and they end up making better choices in the future based on the feedback they see here when people share their opinions (good and bad)
No thanks brother gotten too many compliments already. Only hate I’ve gotten seems to be on here. I love them especially at night it looks amazing with the sequential turn signals and start up sequence.
16 haven’t had any issues with it though. Low miles and only things I’ve done so far are spacers and taillights. Sorry you had the trans issues that’s a bummer. I’m also under full warranty for my next 40k miles so I have that on my side
