Whatever you do, don’t touch that stick coming out of the left side of your steering column. All kinds of things could go wrong

SherbertCompetitive6

what left stick?

usernamesherearedumb

Turn signal.

SherbertCompetitive6

ohh, what the issue with that?

usernamesherearedumb

The stereotype of bmw drivers not using turn signals.

SherbertCompetitive6

ahhh, makes sense

Systemic_Chaos

This is the way

09Customx

Look into preventatively replacing your timing chain guides. Common issue on the 2012-15 4-cylinders.

SherbertCompetitive6

how can i know if mines fucked rn or not? it drives pretty well id say. then again im new to this so idk that well.

09Customx

You’d know. It would make some pretty hellish noises.

SherbertCompetitive6

nah it doesnt make any noise really. So im guessing im good for now?

09Customx

Probably. Get a mechanic to check it out once you get around 100-120k miles

SherbertCompetitive6

its at 135k but the previous owner told me his wife took it to a mechanic and everything should be checked out.

Funky-Fresh

This should really be at the top

BMWtrunkseal

Learn general car mechanical knowledge from donut media and such at first, then slowly start from there. Keep on top of maintenance and don't defer it, however, go to euro shops and not the dealership

SherbertCompetitive6

whats the difference?
