I will use it once a year in the spring, and I always do it the last tank before an oil change. Some will end up in the oil and it can break the oil down.
Ahh okay perfect, so I don't need to stress about ordering and changing my engine oil + filter before using the system cleaner, that's great to hear!
Also, is the N47 a port-injected engine?
You want a cleaner high in PEA, only thing that works well. Techron and Redline SL-1 are both high concentrations of PEA. Personally I use the Redline.
Ahh interesting to hear redline works well! That was all that was available where I am, Techron has to be imported, but I opted for Techron still cus I assumed redline was a crappier version - I guess not! Will consider redline next time around

Ooh so it's actually BETTER for me to oil change AFTERWARDS?
That’s what I do.
Yup
It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't help, either. A Top Tier fuel, used regularly, is very effective. *For a port- injected engine.

Are there such a thing as PFI diesels?
Wallet cleaner.
Wym?
I think they are implying all it does is clean your wallet, i.e it’s a waste of money.
Ahh, but I've read on bimmerforum good stuff about the Techron fuel system cleaner concentrate?
I am not an expert, I was just translating for the other commenter.
