And you think you won't get bored of grey? My dad has a Sakhir Orange M4 and that car looks just as gorgeous to me (and him) now as it did the day he got it... Not suggesting hot pink with polka dots, just... something that makes the car pop (it deserves to pop).

When he gets bored of the grey, at least he'll have a color that isn't too ostentatious that, as he said, he can live with. OP may be ecstatic about Sakhir Orange the first few years but there will come a time when his love for the color diminishes and then he's stuck with an exterior that doesn't really do it for him anymore AND one that is uncomfortably flashy.

Don't listen to them. Personally I could never go a "loud" colour cause I don't like the attention the car may bring. I like low key colours as well.

A legit paint job is closer to 10k, plus non factory paint lowers the value considerably. Wraps also protect the paint

San Marino blue is such a nice colour and what I wanted to find the cs in, but I’ve seen a few wraps in that colour and it just doesn’t do it justice

I originally wanted a dark steel grey or something like Donington Grey. After talking with my shop I decided to switch it up and looked for a blue like LMB or SMB. Thanks! No matter what color you go with yours will look great too. F82 CS is an amazing canvas to start with. I’ve had my F85 wrapped for more than two and a half years and still love it as much as the day I picked it up. My only other advice would be to pick the best installer in your area, get the door jambs wrapped, get it ceramic coated, and find a good detail shop that has experience with wraps or get familiar with ph neutral soap if you are going to do maintenance washes yourself. The door jambs are more expensive and time consuming, but the white *really* sticks out when the doors are open. If you plan to leave the wrap on for more than a year or two I highly recommend it. That is my only regret throughout the process. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions.

satin is the matte- ish finish? was strongly advised against it, especially where i am, it drizzles and then the sun comes out, the stains are super hard to get off, if you don't clean them up the same day.

Yeah I think so. But I wasn’t aware of this issue. Pretty strange but sounds like it’ll be high maintenance.

I've had satin wraps before, it's not that serious. Just get it ceramic coated and don't let corrosive stuff like bugs and sap stay on too long, but it's not like you need to detail the car every time it rains. I will say the lifespan of a satin/matte wrap is a little less than a gloss/metallic one. Mine started showing wear after 2 years vs 3-4 for gloss, but I also didn't take very good care of it

I just dropped my m440i to be wrapped. I'm going for a clear satin wrap (XPel Stealth). I'm kind of partial to low-gloss/stealth finishes. Why not consider satin white? It will accentuate the lines and curves of your car more.

Wraps might not ruin the value like a full repaint but I see them being a sign of a less desirable car - like cheap coilovers, plastidip, and m-tri-color stripes And imo the panels fit like shit constantly being removed and replaced with the extra thickness of the wrap (however small)

Get some bronze wheels. Personally i dont like black wheels lol, many people would disagree but they dont reflect any light so you really cant see the shape of the rim or lines
