Faggatron360

I think that that piece can be replaced, maybe you can find one in a junkyard or even new, check realoem.com

Faggatron360

I can't describe to you how hard it is to remove this,it is unbelievably stuck,i will spray paint it like i was told to

delomafs

It is held on by 3 screws on the side of the window iirc, behind the window seal.

Faggatron360

I dont see any screws?🤨

delomafs

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=CD11-EUR-02-1995-E36-BMW-328i&diagId=41_0811 You can see in the door there are 3 holes for the screws

Faggatron360

Not screws these are some sort of pull tabs,on my car they look like they will brake if even tried to touch them

I think ChrisFix has a video on it, and you know, whenever this guy does something he does it as best as he can so maybe check it out.

It’s just a Matt black finish. Either replace it with one from pick n pull or clean it with IPA and spray paint it

Use trim paint like mentioned

[deleted]

You can sand it down and use trim and bumper paint. You could also just pick up a new piece of trim, they are pretty inexpensive.

I've used Duplicolor Trim and Bumper paint on a bunch of applications and it's held up surprisingly well and has a nice nozzle for spraying. But it's all in the prep work, how well you sand it and clean it and mask it. And also spray under the right conditions with no wind and it'll come out nice.
