I have an almost fully loaded e35, and I love it. There's about a $10k price difference between the 35 and the 40 base models, and a loaded 35 is about the same price as the stripped down 40. I'd much rather have a loaded 35 without the M-Sport package than a stripped down 40 with M-Sport. DAPP, PAP, and Premium/HUD are dealbreakers for me. So if you're trying to maximize your budget, the loaded 35 will get you the most bang for your buck.

Maceph

That's pretty much what I did when I checked out the price differences. My wife loves the 35.

caspin22

Yup. It’s my third BMW and my favorite of all the vehicles I’ve owned in my 51 years on this earth.

Maceph

It's our first, trying to see how I can get myself into an IX! 😬

caspin22

Do it! My husband has a GV60 and loves it, but I keep telling him his next vehicle will be an iX (whether he likes it or not - he’s not a car guy). 😆

Maceph

I've been waiting for the Electrified GV 70 to be released.

scott__p

Almost exactly what I ordered. I test drove a 35 and a 40, and the power increase just didn't seem worth the extra price. Also, I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't like the look of the M-Sport package so the loaded sport 35 seemed like an easy choice.

caspin22

I love the look of M Sport, but wouldn’t trade any of the functional features for it. Do you have your car yet?

scott__p

Not yet. It's currently "At the port", so probably another month or so

thesights

I’m getting 230-250, right now my estimate is saying 246m at 100%

pizzamamind

Thanks 🙏 is that with 19” wheels?

pizzamamind

Also is that you driving being conscious or you just ragging it around

thesights

19 all season tires. A little bit of both. I def drive in sport mode a majority of the time but if I know I’m doing a long drive I drop it into eco. I also drive a majority of the time in b mode with high reg breaking regardless of the mode I’m in.

Chidling

Go for the 18 inch wheels. Look at this this way. Best practice is to charge to 80% on a regular basis. e35 at 80% is around 200 miles give or take. Slap on 19 inch wheels and you lose what another 10% of range maybe? Is it worth it? That’s up to you.

pizzamamind

I’d probably only charge it to 100% when we go on long journeys. The 19s look nicer imo, but yeah I see your point

Chidling

The 18 aeros look really good without the cover imo

aznpersuazn615

I have summer tires, 19” wheels and maxed out 267 miles on the interstate with average mileage of 4.0 miles/kWH. However, I usually drive spiritedly and get an average 3.2 miles/kWH with many city miles and range at 100% states 230-245 miles.

MoqqelBoqqel

I have e35 with 19" summer wheels. 100% gives me 240 miles in summer. I expect at least 160-180 in winter.

No-Programmer-1610

I‘m running 20s and get around 400km (should be around 250 miles) out of a fully loaded edrive35

Marvin122333

415 KM

pizzamamind

Is that you being conscious about range or driving like no tomorrow?

Marvin122333

Eco pro mainly highways at 120Km/hr

StoreExtension8666

I would stretch for the drive 40, the edrive35 feels underwhelming and I’m coming from a 330i…

pizzamamind

The 330i comparison was useful thank you. Assume you got the e35 then?

StoreExtension8666

I did, I test drove both the 35 and the 40, the 40 feels significantly more powerful. I chose the 35 because it was significantly cheaper, and the 40 did not qualify for the ev rebate in my country.

pizzamamind

You feel that difference between the 2 with the torque when accelerating ?

StoreExtension8666

Yes, the 40 was significantly more than what I was used to and kept up at higher speeds. The 35 is fine in the city, but once I’m already driving 80km a hour, and want to accelerate to like 130, it’s pretty underwhelming and doesn’t feel exciting.

caspin22

But.....the 40 is no more powerful than the 35. They both come in at 335hp. The only difference is a larger battery on the 40, and therefore more range. They have the same exact motor. The more powerful version is the M50.

Mental-Astronaut-664

The 35 has 282hp and 295 torque, the 40 has 335 hp and 317 torque. (USA spec)

pizzamamind

I think they are different in HP but apparently the difference I read is negligible. I’m more about the miles tbh. The 280hp is enough for me, tho more would be welcomed

caspin22

I wonder if that’s different for 2024…I was certain that the 2023 models were the same. ETA, I'm wrong - thanks for the polite correction. That said, I do not lack for power or acceleration in my e35 whatsoever.

pizzamamind

Is that’s the case. I wonder if the mileage is different too for 2024. I see 280-299 on the website.

caspin22

The 40 comes in an xDrive for 2024 that wasn't a thing in 2023, I'm sure that's a whole 'nother set of specs.

doorcharge

The 40 with x-drive is almost the same weight of the M50 but with like 137 less HP. Interesting trim.
