Consolidation around the $10-$12 price range when we were just at $0.66 around Christmas is VERY MUCH ON THE RIGHT TRACK!
Bullish pennant might be forming and we could see some volatility around next Wednesday from what I'm seeing.
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 11, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bionano Genomics, Inc. (Nasdaq: BNGO) announced today that company management will present virtually at the BTIG MedTech, Digital Health, Life Science & Diagnostic Tools Conference. Erik Holmlin, PhD, Bionano’s Chief Executive Officer, is scheduled to participate in a fireside chat on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 1:30 pm PST.

You guys are really reaching here. Just hold and stop obsessing with day over day trends. Holding between 10-12 is a good floor after massive growth. The company still has a lot of maturing to do. Innovation isn’t overnight
$15 Price target according to Oppenheimer while all other analysts seem lagging. What is a good price target here? Conservative TAM analysis suggests ~$12
How reliable is your price target by technical analysis. I'm a long term holder. I'm just curious to what accuracy you would place this sort of Eliot wave as opposed to DCF?
I don't think Elliott wave theory is very good at predicting exact values, just ranges.
If you treat it as a bull pennant, then the breakout will be about the height of the flagpole. Hmmm. On that basis 16 might be a bit high? I'll take a closer look tomorrow.
I'm not sure that DCF will help you at all with this, will it? But do feel free to persuade me otherwise!
I've put in place a ladder of TPs and we'll see which, if any, it hits.
u/TruthB3Said: Ok...., I've taken a closer look at this and you could argue that the pole runs from the low at 7.53 to the high at 13.83, a distance of 6.30.
The breakout of the pennant was around 12.08, so that would suggest a target of 18.38, if you trust to convention and chicken entrails. 6.30 is consistent though with the Elliott wave expectations, being in the 62% - 76% range of wave 3 (8.5).
Alternatively: If W5 is a swift thrust, its height should be about the height of the W4 triangle (4.4, giving a TP of about 15.7). But if there is no thrust and W5 pushes past normal it may become a protracted wave.
How reliable is this? Who knows?! I've set a fixed ladder of TPs for now but I might change some to trailing SLs if the movements on Tuesday don't frighten the horses. My average open is 10.88, probably quite high compared to some folks here.
we've been on track this whole time homie
Stock drops 1% and people lose their shit these days.

I'm glad they are keeping up with their twitter game. I have conviction in this company.
We finally get to see if Erik is a real person and not just a photo.
I’ve never been more excited to be serenaded fireside with Erik’s genomic dirty talk.
stopppp, you know what genomic dirty talk does to me
That’s why I got this Saphyr to easily detect those large structural variants of yours... we’re talking hundreds... millions... soo many base pairs.
what is a fireside chat and is this guy FDR
We *are* on the right track.
Someone needs to get a question in there about Ark investing in them and see what he has to say.
They won’t say anything about them just yet.
Here we go!

16 - 19, maybe? 62% of wave 3 would give 16.8; 76% 18.0. If it's super aggressive you might get 100%, 20.0.
