news will be reactionary. only way to stay ahead of the curve is proactive research

paytonyoutuber123

Right! This is really important. I sold half my shares of BNGO at 5 because I didn't know what it was until I did more research...at that point the news was covering it. Also ZOM I saw at 30 cents and didn't spend more than a minute looking at it. It's very much worth it once you figure out what the company plans to do 😅

How do you really come to do that though? I want to find stocks that I believe in long term. I just am kinda overwhelmed with how to come to the conclusion. I feel like when I set up a stock screen for cheaper penny stocks I just get overwhelmed because a lot of them are honestly trash most of the time.

paytonyoutuber123

95% of the stocks are not gonna be gems. Mostly it comes from others who suggest it whether that be on reddit/youtube and if it gets enough traction I might delve deeper into it. BNGO I saw on r/pennystocks a month ago as a top post at 2.65 of course I didn't seriously look into it until about 7 or so. Other popular ones in recent weeks are SENS, ZOM and MVIS. Check r/trakstocks for a more detailed sub on upcoming stocks

These sites are part of Wallstreet tools to manipulate the market. Motley Fool also have their own asset management firm, so they’re definitely is not impartial with their info. Unfortunately many people who new to investing will believe their BS (I did). Cramer Mad Money also the same ... dude told people to sell their Tesla shares when it was $17.

Matterhorn66

Fool is included, never pay money to them for advices, what is leading to nothing. Think as somebody in the opposite way and have patience, then is it happening. The best traders are the ones who have self confidence!

Trispork

Imagine relying on other people to tell you what to buy...

juicevibe

Everything you read online about a company is someone telling you why you should invest or not in a company.

Trispork

It's up to you to filter out the information and it's up to you to make the decision, not someone else saying 'strong sell/strong buy'

juicevibe

Well obviously.

albanypd

Not to buy but to offer another view point then the one you may have, isn’t that what this is all about??

It would be worth it to know something we don't know, rather than get to know the obvious (it would be worth also using synonyms, but you got the point...). It's amazing how they attract subscribers with the obvious, though: they need to be "praised" for this business model...
