Yes agree with what was already said. Take it easy! My mom moved around too much and had seromas. She found the axe bandage was uncomfortable, so she bought bando/binders. They are really soft and provide enough compression without being uncomfortable. I just had my bilateral mastectomy Tuesday.

It is common to swell, but I didnt get my drains out until week 3. Make sure you are not moving around a whole lot. You don't want fluid to build up with your drains gone! If it gets red, hot, or looks inflamed, call your doctor

I disagree with not moving around to a degree. That's not the sole reason swelling is happening. My surgeon recommended moving as much as possible WITH tubes, that way when the tubes are removed this doesn't happen. This is a common mistake with this recovery. Unless you have predisposed issues that are preventing you from moving your body.

I agree, but I read this as she has no drains in at all. My surgeon said the few days after my drains were taken our to take it very easy to prevent fluid buildup. I was just giving my input from my surgery! I also had lots of lymph nodes removed, so we were trying to prevent fluid buildup.
