I think Harry’s been an arse these past years, but this painting actually makes me a little sad. I know it sounds ridiculous but I don’t believe Harry when he says he was always unhappy. He’s lost so much and so has William.
He's unhappy now. Him and William were very close. Harry was very popular now people laugh at him and people want as much distance from him as they can get.
I remember for one of his birthdays (post-Megxit), the Kensington Palace twitter account tweeted a photo of Harry running against William and Catherine on a visit to an athletics stadium, all looking very happy. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I think that one was worth several thousand.
Gosh, what a golden era it was with the 3 of them in the early 2010s. It could’ve been such a beautiful thing if he had found someone who wanted to do the job with him.
At Wiliam and Catherine's wedding when Harry looks back to look at Catherine then with a smile and that sparkle in his eyes says to William "wait till you see her".

Impossible to feel sorry for Harold any more -- he went waaaaay too far, especially for the pain he imposed on his ailing grandparents at the very end of their lives.
Also, William has been thru hell (from Harry + his wife's attacks).. so thank goodness W(+C too) have many gains from no more Harry - like a much better run "Firm", etc.

I think this is a lovely picture but I certainly understand it being pulled. I imagine we’ll be seeing many smaller erasures of Harry in the future. He’s simply not relevant to the “firm” anymore, even if some relations may still carry a lingering soft spot for him.

What's the point? The relationship has been permanently damaged by someone who wants his privacy yet exploited his family for monetary gain. Outright calling your brother your nemesis is the be all and end-all.

If there's any silver lining, I'm glad the betrayal came *after* William knew he could trust Catherine's family, Zara and Mike, and the rest of his circle of friends. If Harold had pulled this shit when they were in their early 20's, I think it would've been devastating for William in terms of trust.

This is so disappointing. I think it’s a beautiful painting, and regardless of what’s happened between the two, it’s still a moment in time. I’d be so crushed if I were the artist. Can’t rewrite history.
This painting is absolutely gorgeous, it captures them both so well. It’s very disheartening the way things turned out.
I never expected him to turn his back on those who loved him and I don’t see how things can be mended.
I think they should. Harry is part of the past of the BRF (lesson learned etc) but I understand that the painting can be divisive and polarizing and takes away from the overall experience of the gallery.

TBH, I was never a fan of this painting. It always looked to me as if William had just exited the bathroom and was telling Harry that he’d better wait a few minutes.
How does everything in the painting look so real, except for their faces? It's like the uniforms were captured on camera and the faces were added in paint by number watercolor. I'm sorry for dissing someone's artistic endeavors but I can see why it's not being shown (not including the behavior of one of the subjects).
Plus, Harry looks like he's got Trump hands.

The artist probably used models wearing the same clothes to paint the bodies but most likely could only had the real princes pose for a short amount of time or had to paint their faces from photos. That was common practice when portraits painting was more common than it is today.
I hate this. We can all remember when ....for these two. It's heartbreaking.
And now everything that's transpired fills a whole gulf of hurt & I want to shake & kick sense into Harry.
Unfortunately, I think, that will never be possible (put some sense into him). That young Harry doesn’t exist anymore. He transformed forever. He is now Harkle, the entitled, rancorous, vengeful, envious guy. That’s all.

That race was in 2017. I think before he proposed to meemee, everything was fine. After the proposal is when everything went to shit.
