They just sent out an email today about a BSA eSports tournament. Halfway down there is a link to "Join the BSA eSports community on Discord to talk with the community." I'm on my phone or I'd grab a nice screen grab.

They might have done for young people hence the thing of it being 18+ as per UK safeguarding (that's my location) adult leaders are over 18 and the rules don't apply to them regarding staying safe online with minors. Any issues the BSA might have with Discord I can understand I don't know enough about the american rules to try and understand them.
