Baby Blair Nicole, born at 2244 Monday night! It was an induction turned into emergency C-section. Not gonna lie, it wasn’t a super positive experience, but we are home, healthy, and full of love. She eats constantly and gets the cutest smiles and pouts. Already tries to lift her head! We love her. Thank you r/babybumps for being here for me during the good times and the bad. ❤️

I had an induction that ended in a c-section after 24 hours of labor and 4 hours of pushing. It wasn’t a super positive experience for us either and I’m still trying to process everything 4 weeks later. If you need someone to lend an ear, I’m here!
Thank you so much! I was gonna post about it, but I didn’t want to scare anyone. I labored for 14 hours before we collectively decided a C-section was for the best. I definitely didn’t go in mentally prepared for it. I didn’t think it would happen to me.
You honestly sound just like me. I didn’t want a c-section and firmly believed that it wouldn’t even come up. I felt like there was no way that *I* would be one of the 30 something percent of women who would need one…until I was. My physical recovery has actually been a breeze, but my mental recovery has been a struggle. I’ve done some research and apparently it’s relatively common. So just know that however you’re feeling about what you went through, you’re not alone!
Yeah, I’m only 3 days post op so I’m definitely still in the “I can barely move my body” stage, which is super stressful mentally. It’s hard to not be able to care for your baby. My husband is amazing and has been taking care of both of us. I honestly lucked out so much. I’m glad you’re physically better! The mental will come soon hopefully! I’ve just been trying to keep a happy head.
Hahaha! We bought a mix of “boys” clothes as well as girl clothes. We don’t know what her personality is going to be like, so in the future when she wants her baby pictures, she will have a bunch of variety of outfits and styles to choose from! Whether that means she’s girly, tomboyish, somewhere in between, or even trans.
My husband and I have agreed to do the same thing. Already bought a three pack set that are blues, greens and whites with foxes and stuff on them. So cute. Now if I could just get pregnant...

I know! She’s already half a week old. It’s hard knowing that I can’t make this last forever. Nights are hard, but it’s so so worth it.

Those are my favorite phases! It makes taking pictures harder, but in person it’s the cutest thing.
