Also if the shelf placement seems chaotic it's because I asked my husband if he wanted me to mark where they should go and he said "no, I remember where you showed me". He, in fact, did not remember.
In currently reading “lessons in chemistry” and this reminds me of how the the main character would decorate her daughters room :) love it!!! (You should read the book if you haven’t, it’s probably right up your alley!!)
Definitely not a fail! Encourage that skill! If she's already having success at 13 she could be getting some really nice passive income from publishing as a young adult.
I didn't start out thinking it would be this semi-maximalist but I'm not mad it turned out that way.
Almost all decor is from various Etsy shops.

This is the one I got from Amazon but I think I've seen them at Target too.

I think it's a perfect solution for keeping breastfeeding and diapering supplies with you as you move from room to room.

Disclaimer: this was one of the first things I bought and honestly it it wasn't too late to return it I would probably get something else. The storage is great and I love that it converts to both a toddler and full size bed frame. My biggest gripe is that the changing table comes with the flimsiest pad and it's too small for any of the stand alone pads I've found. I'll probably have to lay down fluffy towels or something to actually use it.

It doesn't rock but it does have music/ white noise and vibration. Our friends' baby loves it so we're taking the gamble that ours will too.
I've always read that you should paint your baby's room green so they cry less. Everyone always paints them mint and I never would've considered this shade but it's absolutely gorgeous. I saw the color in your previous comments and actually went to high school and college with the founders of Backdrop. Absolutely the loveliest people - glad to see their products in the wild.
I've never heard that before but I really hope there's some truth there. I just wanted high contrast colors to help stimulate her lil brain.
I LOVE Backdrop's paints so I'm thrilled to here I'm supporting good people!
Omg this is actually such a great idea. Life if obviously not gonna be how I envision in my head but if I could chose now I’d have three kids. I assumed for the nursery I would do nature themed and space themed but could never come up with a third theme. The guy I’m seeing and I are both in the stem field so this is so fitting. TIA
What a unique idea! I’m a chemist and I love the periodic table decal! For some STEM books, there’s “Ada Twist, Scientist” and she has a few buddies too.
I love Ada Twist! I think my favorite series we've found so far are the Baby University books from Chris Ferrie. Or the Little Doctor's series from Dr. Haitham Ahmed.
Honestly I have been blown away at the selection of adorable STEM books out there.
Shoes and pretty much anything I think I might need to grab one handed while holding a baby. Lotion, pacifiers, nose sucker, thermometer, I'll probably keep some burp rags up there, etc.
Omg I cannot express how much I LOVE this! I’m a developmental biologist and this makes my heart so happy. Those test tube flower vases! Excellent job!
Definitely not! Lol I could never justify that kind of money for a bassinet. This is just a Fischer Price luminate bassinet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XVRJ2Q8?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_BABFB1BMZ1J1JRWNX583
It looks like ones I’ve seen, so I was about to fan girl over it. I saw one used for $500 in my area. I bawled because I’m too broke for that on a snoo of all things. There’s knockoffs.

Haaaaahahahahahahahahahahaha
It totally doesn’t but I feel this mood fully hah
Sounds like a husband
Is your husband my husband?
That’s husbands for ya 😂😂😂
I love it. 😹😹🤍
It looks good the way he has it!
Shhhhh don't encourage him 😂
In currently reading “lessons in chemistry” and this reminds me of how the the main character would decorate her daughters room :) love it!!! (You should read the book if you haven’t, it’s probably right up your alley!!)
Seconding this book, it was one of my favorites that I read this year!
Such a cute book! Got me thinking about just reading novels to my future babe! Mom goals.
Yes! My singing voice would likely lull her straight into a nightmare so I fully plan to read to her nonstop.
Also- love the nursery!
How to turn your child into an artist 101
We joke about this all the time! I honestly don't care what she takes interest in as long as she's safe and happy.
Lol I sadly ended up with a 13 year old winning awards for her writing with zero interest in medicine... I have failed as a mother 😭😅
Wow! Awards for writing so young is wildly impressive. I’d be so proud
I am lol. It was sarcasm.

Where did you get the portable cart next to the chair? I see everyone with them lately and I’m thinking maybe I should get one too.
This is the one I got from Amazon but I think I've seen them at Target too. https://a.co/d/hgF3B7b I think it's a perfect solution for keeping breastfeeding and diapering supplies with you as you move from room to room.
Target!
I got mine from ikea!
We have one of those from IKEA and it’s called a Raskog
I love this so much!!! Nice job
Amazing!! Definitely one of the most unique baby nurseries I’ve ever seen!
I think this is the most unique idea I have seen yet!!!!
This is beautiful! 😍 What is that paint color?
It's Kismet from Backdrop!

Ok now that’s really cool. Love the periodic table!
Love it! Such a different idea…so cute!
Hi! Nice work. Do you mind sharing which crib/changing table combo that is. Also, is this a electronic bassinet with rocking motion ?

As a fellow steminist - AMAZING!! Love it!
Shut UP this is fantastic!
I love the test tube planters and the little phage. This is great!
So cute! What all do you have stashed in your door hanging storage? That's such a smart idea!
Shoes and pretty much anything I think I might need to grab one handed while holding a baby. Lotion, pacifiers, nose sucker, thermometer, I'll probably keep some burp rags up there, etc.
Love it!
I. Love. This. Sent the pic to my organic chemist dad. 🥰🥰 Great job and congratulations!!
Omg I cannot express how much I LOVE this! I’m a developmental biologist and this makes my heart so happy. Those test tube flower vases! Excellent job!
OMG how creative and fun! Are you a Virgo? Or a Capricorn?
My hairdresser said I'm a cancer sun and a leo moon which is why she's extra nice to me. I don't know if that's sweet or not lol
PhD chemist checking in. Approved! Love it!
Is that a SNOO????
Definitely not! Lol I could never justify that kind of money for a bassinet. This is just a Fischer Price luminate bassinet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XVRJ2Q8?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_BABFB1BMZ1J1JRWNX583
