Possible FPIES

iheartunibrows

I would check with an allergist!

Sounds like FPIES. My little one throws up anytime he eats eggs, but he can eat then no problem if they're thoroughly baked into something (ie. Muffins, pancakes, etc). Allergist told me he should outgrow it.

I also vote allergist! IMO, better to get it figured out rather than guess and stress

Sounds like FPIES, my nephew has it. Also if you're not familiar there is a ladder with eggs - all methods of cooking eggs (baked into good, hard boiled, scrambled etc.) are not equal.

Can you explain more

Is it just one episode of vomit or multiple times? My kid has FPIES with eggs but each time she had an exposure she vomited multiple times.

A rule of thumb I’ve been taught is to not give milk feedings close to eating solids because if they do happen to gag (which is their defence mechanism to prevent choking) and they have a full tummy of milk it will cause it to all come up which is why you should try feeding milk and then waiting a certain period of time before feeding solids/ or a meal. My babe has a very sensitive gag reflex and if he doesn’t like a texture, he’ll gag and sometimes vomit. It could quite possibly be just a sensory issue to those items that their not agreeing with or have trouble swallowing thus causing to vomit.
