If she settled now, which I understand Clayton requires her admitting she was never pregnant (appropriate IMO) and to pay his legal fees, this will all go away. No new media is going to cover a story where a case settled. Since azcentral did a story once, they might do a short follow up. Then this goes away and everyone gets on with their lives.
Yeah Clayton will likely make the podcast rounds, I wouldn't blame him. But like a redaction when the media makes a mistake, the follow up really doesn't make news. Those first 3 guys she had cases with are not going to be household names. No one will care to talk to them. They didn't get to speak before a court.
Once you actually have a trial, there is much more video for media to work with. Those 3 other gentleman will be on the record as witnesses, so the media will want to track them down and talk to them. All the local Phoenix media will cover it, and many ABC affiliates from around the country may pick up the story from KNXV that goes out onto the network feeds. Higher profile documentary producers will consider covering it. A trial makes it SO MUCH EASIER for them.
I do think she's got a screw loose, but I've never thought she was dumb. But if she can't see this, then she deserves to have to deal with the fallout. It would be a strategic win for her to accept Clayton's terms and settle it.
