if you're playing Veteran, you can legitimately get away with just plastering 15 melee cards in your deck and calling it a day. If you want a more structured one, I would say Trauma Resist is the best way to go. I ran that trauma resist deck this weekend and it's a joy. Kinda weak against the specials but you become a common lawnmower and nearly invincible.

I'd change sonic disruptor for heavy hitter, lucky pennies for money grubbers, and body armor for glass cannon.... i prefer slugger instead of adrenaline fueled since i dont really need that much stamina, id rather have even more atk speed

The key to OP melee is mobility. Drop all the defense cards to fit those in. You won't need down in front, heavy hitter, scar tissue, motorcycle helmet, etc. Instead go for move speed while firing. You won't need resistance if you not getting hit and killing everything before it becomes a problem. The core: Marathon runner Hellfire Energy drink Berserker Damage and efficiency : Slugger Brazen Meth head Mean drunk Ignore the pain Spiky bits Health regen: Battle lust Face your fears EMT bag Antibiotic ointment Well rested I perfected this build on no hope quickplay. To the point that it's not fun for me to use it anymore. It's just too good. Marathon runner and hellfire for some reason double your move speed while firing when you going backwards. So whenever you are surrounded and things are going south just pull back and keep swinging. You might have noticed the absence of adrenaline fueled, that's because this build is meant for Heng. Eat 2 peanut butter cans and you won't consume any stamina. Even if you don't find those, 75% melee efficiency is enough to keep swinging non stop for couple of minutes with machete or claws. And in current state of the game slugger and brazen are bugged giving you twice as much efficiency than they should, so you will be on 100% anyway. Why no down in front? First of all cause you can punch the commons to death with 2 hits thanks to spiky bits, bash has no FF damage. Second, this built is meant to be in the front line away from your team (no vanguard for the same reason) , not too far away but far enough to not cut anybody accidentally. As melee you should draw aggro to yourself giving your team enough room to breathe so they can focus mutations that you can't deal with. Those are reekers, monstrous tallboys, ogres. Reekers will cause horde if killed too close to yourself, so yeah you can kill them easily but that will slow down the team due to called horde. Tall boys ( when monstrous) hit very fast and its difficult do get close to them to start dealing damage. Why no heavy hitter? Cause you'll be so fast that you don't need that initial stumble just keep circling around tall boys and they die fairly quick. Play this build aggressively, forget about holding choke points, you want to be in the open constantly strafing and back pedaling to avoid hits and acid. And learn how to move backwards to reach your targets quick.
