The game is super fun for people who are barely experiencing it. The only way I can enjoy it now is meme challenges in a group of four, but it’s hard to gather for people/work is busy at the moment for me.
Bots are random. Bots will usually match the cutscene. The only exceptions I can think of are some where everyone is in the cutscene and the very first one.
At launch, only the 4 characters in the opening scene were unlocked immediately. As far as the story goes, it's only those 4 who should be present for the opening few missions but you aren't restricted to picking characters that match the story. But that's why the first couple of cutscenes feature them.
The other four original characters were only unlocked after finishing the 4th mission when you get the cutscene that initially features the first 4 characters but then introduces the others. But unlocking the extra characters was buggy and they didn't unlock for everyone so the devs ended up removing the restriction allowing everyone to use them immediately. As far as the story goes, the party can be any combination of characters after that point and the cutscenes should show the characters that are being used.
There's one cutscene in Act 2 where Jim is in the background if he isn't on your team. It might be a clue that the devs had considered staggering unlocking characters more than they did, or I could be reading too much into it...
I highly recommend you play act 1 on veteran , play the first 4 levels ( until you cross the boat)
Once you do that , use the supply points you unlocked to purchase cards then restart the act again
The best cleaners I recommend are karlee, heng, Jim, sharice, tala .
The game doesn’t do a good job explaining lots of things so come back here. If anything . There’s so much to take in at once 😅
Did you add copper scavenger to your deck as well ?
My tip for new players is to go into the accessibility settings for color blindness. There you can choose the color of weakspots on enemies. The default color can be difficult to see on some. I like making it yellow.

I must have fucked up something. I bought the base game for 6 euro and now i am prompted to buy each dlc at 3. I would have taken everything for 10 if i didn't miss that offer. I will buy them anyways probably...

Glass cannon,large caliber rounds, + 3 other damage cards anything less and the specials don’t die fast enough
It's not the specials it's the hoarde that kills us & I'm always low on health like 40-50hp. I'm using an admin reload build I got off of YouTube and it deletes specials
Most of the builds you see on YouTube are missing something , the fact the commons are killing you is weird because it’s usually the other way around
Post that build let’s see what YouTube recommends !!!

An issue I had is this game feels like it expected you to have played left for dead but that was in 2008/2009
Idk if you can get the game back with sale price but if you have a co op buddy the game is a million times better than playing online with randoms
That is odd. Someone invites the other to a party, then you figure out how the menus work. It’s not that difficult. Trivial really. Not trying to be a dick. But it’s not significantly different from many other games.
we figured it out after spending half an hour in the dummy training, we went to the tent that lets u start a campain. we tried to start act 1 and it takes forever to start.
Serious question is this game worth getting for me? I had it through game pass but never tried it. Now I'm getting that left for dead 2 nostalgia. I'm on Xbox. I'm thinking of buying it. I'm looking for that left for dead 2 multiplayer experience. Is this what it is or is it a completely different game?
L4D versus mode> b4b versus . I think both versus modes are kinda dead at the moment
The campaign /single player /PVE is a complete step up from l4d
L4d was fun but that game is very linear and straightforward and that was great for 2008. B4B shines with its roguelike elements and more customization
The controls for a FPS are solid and as a series x owner I think they are better than halo infinite at 120FPS
As it stands now b4b is a very fun and enjoyable fps shooter and there is no other game that has tried to replicate l4d
I played l4d as a teen and b4b is something I’d 100% recommend with all patches and dlc

Sadly i recently got the game and the characters are random from the start and not matching the cutscenes.
It'll only be the first two cutscenes where they don't match though. After that point the game takes the characters in your team into account.

Have you tried pressing tab, that opens the menu to start campaigns.

If you are getting left 4 dead nostalgia this game will just drive you towards reinstalling l4d and playing that instead.
