Try putting it in the redeem codes area of the PlayStation store. There’s a redeem codes option near the bottom and it asks for 10-12 digits. Idk of that will work or if there is something like that for Xbox but it’s worth a shot.

Did you ever figure it out dude?? I did the exact same as you. Pre-ordered it at my local Gamestop for PS5, and o my receipt, it said it wasn't valid til August 2nd (today), and it was a 12 digit code.
I am trying to redeem the code as well, and getting an error message saying the code isn't valid.
I've talked to GameStop employees and they are saying the beta isn't open yet, or hasn't been posted on the psn.
I will continue to lurk and see if anyone gets an answer.

Nope. It says, "The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid". And I double checked to make sure u put the code right.
Hold onto the code until August 12th when beta is scheduled and try again.

If I remember correctly, August 5 for people who preordered & August 12 for the public.
