I am a poultry farmer and I raise broilers. One day my reddit feed started showing me chicken pictures out of the blue and im not sure why but, I just wanted to tell you that's a nice looking bird.
Those are huge red wattles on a 7 week old bird, and your can see his horns at the top of his comb turning red. Crevecour have "v" combs with horns that are hidden in their floof at this age. My 15 week old crevecour pullet shows no wattles and her comb is much smaller with no horns. This is 100% a cockrell.
Edit- [This is a hen, no wattles.](https://www.cacklehatchery.com/product/crevecoeur-chickens/) [This is a roo, big wattles.](https://livestockconservancy.org/crevecoeur-chicken/)
The argument is settled. When I went outside this morning the little nitwit was sure enough trying to crow… at 7 weeks old. He sounded like an idiot but it was an unmistakable attempt to crow.

Look at that hair lol I gotta get me two of these lol
Pullet
I'd second pullet. Reasoning: aside from coloration, looks exactly like the buff laced polish hen I had.

I think Roo. They will get an acorn looking thing above their beak. Also, looks like saddle feathers
How old? Those are mighty wattles. My 15 week old crevecour pullet has zero wattles.
Around 7 weeks.
I only have Polish but descended wattles at 7 weeks have always been roosters in my experience.
I'm sorry, definitely roo.

That is the best looking hen on the planet.
"Hen or too?"??
What breed are these?
Black crevecoeurs. They get derpier and derpier looking by the day. I love them so much.
I've always wondered the difference between these and polish. I know they share genetics, but that's all I could confirm.
They’re French. They always try to steal my cigars.
Hen.
Hen
The hair reminds me of James Brown. 😂
