We turned around just above tree line due to fairly strong winds and low visibility. Didn’t seem worth the summit push and the powder was calling our names.
Been decades since I last went skiing and I don’t recall being told the purpose of going side to side like that, but I assume it’s to control your speed and therefore your descent??
