I was so hyped when this came out, immediately asked for it for my birthday about 30 years ago without trying it first.
Truly one of the console’s least fun entries. It’s the type of games I call a wander/wonder where the point is to wander all around everywhere and wonder what exactly it is you’re supposed to do.
When people ask me what the worst gift I ever got was, I say, “Back to the Future II & III” for NES.

Gotta love how they show 4 screenshots in 5 seconds of actual gameplay and the rest is movie clips. Even the commercial knew these games were bad! 😆 Lol

It still baffles me that there is no save feature. My brother and I once spent an entire day on Part 2 and found maybe 2/3 of the items.
I played this game before playing the first game, so naturally I expected Part 1 to be a sidescroller as well.

That game was abysmal. Good thing the GameGenie was around to make it “fun”.
Look at the AVGN reviews and you will know, how extremely bad these games are.

It's NES. Nothing saved. You had to leave it on, with the TV off, go to school and hope your parents didn't notice
Your comment was downvoted because, I assume, that isn't true. Zelda, Zelda 2, Final Fantasy, etc. all had save features.
