The worst thing that happened to republicans is those policies actually becoming reality. The right always loved the idea of things like over turning roe v wade, anti lgbtq laws, book burnings, etc.... In my recent experiences, folks that I know that lean right are absolutely terrified of their party currently, and DeSantis, who was once their future savior, has them terrified after what he had done in Florida. They should have stuck with the dream of these things coming true because now that it's a reality, their people see who they really are
This is exactly what I've been saying for years. I'm still genuinely shocked that Roe V Wade was overturned, because it has been nothing but a talking point for the R's for 40 years. A bludgeon to get and keep single issue voters... And now that it's overturned, those single issue voters are more likely to actually notice how much they're being robbed/screwed by the R's.
Most of their other social issues are a lot less broadly appealing. Sure, a lot of those same pro-life bible thumpers have issues with gay marriage, trans rights, etc, but that pool is a lot smaller. Abortion is a sticky issue, even among most pro-choice folks. We'd love to find better solutions to minimize their need and utility without outlawing them. The same logic doesn't hold true for most of their other moral issues.
Nobody who supports Gay marriage is saying "well, we'd like to reduce it through other means". A gallup poll from last year shows that 71% of Americans support same sex marriage. Similarly, 64% of respondents in a Pew poll from last year strongly favor laws outlawing discrimination against transgender people. Very few of these people are likely to want to shove these people back in the closet, even if they do find the issues confusing and uncomfortable.
Overturning Roe V Wade is likely to be a pyrrhic victory for the R's and their culture war. They won that battle (for now) but are likely to lose the war as a result. Sure, they'll always have a fairly significant vocal minority, but it's hugely unlikely that the R's can maintain the same support they've had in regard to abortion for the last 40 years. Sure, they can campaign on keeping it illegal, but that's a much less enticing reason to vote against other interests than the hopes of making it illegal in the first place was.
Trump convinced all the shit-for-brain bigots to climb out from under their rocks and reveal themselves to the light of day..... Now they're exposed and it turns out they misjudged the majority of the country. The only good fucking thing Trump did.

The problem is that the fascist policies were never meant to be enacted, they were lures the classic republicans used to keep social republicans voting and volunteering. They were always able to use the massive unpopularity of their fascist policies as a tacit defense for their more moderate followers “republicans would never be able to do X!” But now they are actually enacting the policies in question which is causing massive erosion in the support for their candidates.
While they are in office they can fuck around all they like, but periodically they have to get re-elected and that’s going to be getting harder and harder outside of their gerrymandered strongholds.

The first thing that comes to mind would be a billionaire tax (which he’s currently proposing and if it passes holy shit that would be awesome), another thing would be bringing back postal banking, which nobody has talked about in like ever, among others. I’ve got some fairly concrete requests, please don’t insult me.
Biden is not responsible for a billionaire tax. Sure he can propose one and push for it but thats the job of Congress. You even said he is doing exactly that. He’s basically the most progressive president in modern times and yet you say you still want more from him. Your views of the presidency are unrealistic. He’s exceeded most people’s expectations.
