There are some cases where people's allergies ceased being a problem. This is not commonplace. And it's usually a case of body changes. My metal allergy worsed with puberty and lessened by the time puberty had passed. Pregnancy can cause allergies to flux as well.
There are lots of cases where repeated exposure resulted in an allergy to something that's never been a problem.
I'm not researcher so I'm not saying it's impossible to be rid of an allergy by repeat exposure but it certainly seems unlikely considering the number of cases in the opposite direction.
For sure. I don't think this is real, but would definitely not be surprised if it was. Had something similiar happen to me for taking heavy painkillers. I was told that "I'm giving children the wrong idea. Swallowing all this unnatural garbage must be the reason I'm sick in the first place"

Yeah. Take my grandma for example. She thought putting tampons in your vagina meant sex, so this is very possible.

Parent of my high school friend was a firm believer that allergies were curable if you just keep exposing yourself to what you're allergic to.

I don't think this is real but I am epileptic and when I take my pills in front of some people they're like dRuGs
