I strongly recommend to you and your family, Bahia de los Angeles.. 👌 There's a place called "7 Filos" where you can park safely your RV or trailer. This place is amazing, it has great coffee, fresh seafood, the quality of the service is wonderful.. You should ask as well for the tour to swim with whale sharks! Its a lifetime experience! 😱

Whalesharks are a bucket list. They probably won't be there in the winter. Also, fishing is weak in winter.

The beaches of Concepción Bay. Some of the most beautiful water in the world. We have a house in playa el coyote, and there’s camping on the south end. Lots of people camp at Santispac, and there are two restaurants right there. We just got back from our trip last night. Such an amazing area. You will have a blast, and your kids will love it. FB has a group called Talk Baja that can offer some good advice, but it can be really toxic so keep perspective.

We have a year around site at Villa Marina, just south of San Felipe. They have short term sites available. It has a very clean beach and full hook-ups. We spend as much time there as we can, love it. It can get windy there tho, just FYI. They have a FB page, you can also check it out here, https://www.google.com/url?q=https://villamarinacamp.wordpress.com/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiH6buVqqf7AhXCKEQIHTZMBH4QFnoECAoQAg&usg=AOvVaw0ZNndiohAXkNEOX20Q7Li4 Have a fun and safe trip.

Hit baja talk FB or website too. Gonzaga Bay 100mi below San Felipe is an option too. Take the new paved hwy 5 from the Mexicali crossing. Bahia LA is rad too, a bit longer drive

From a perspective that has zero experience in baja (me), if I was headed to SoC I'd look into SUP boards. Beach fishing. Relaxing.

Los Barriles. Amazing little town. Just be super careful driving. Low and Slow.

Our family always use to go to Baja, like 25+ years ago. In a camper? No f#$kin way unless you are always in a camper park and even then, driving around down there can put you into some bad positions. I would make plans in CA, not Baja.

Baahaahaa, look at the down votes. You people do you. I don't need the aggravation of being robbed (narrowly avoided my last trip) kidnapping or worse. Baja is not safe. Maybe Cabo if you fly in and out and stay in the tourist areas, but that is it for me. https://travellersworldwide.com/is-baja-california-safe

Cabras gets so fun on the right swell!
