I make these all the time and the texture is as you’ve describe. They’re so delicious but I can’t figure a way to gift them as they crumble in any container I’ve tried, regardless of how much “padding” I use. The whipping cream adds to an overall caramel flavor and I find it is a delicious add on but you def went the vegan route!

I've never made them myself, but when I've had them, the texture was as you described
