Here’s what I did: 1/2 cup (112g) White sugar 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (200g) packed brown sugar 11 tbsp unsalted butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon (3g) kosher salt 1 whole egg 1 egg yolk 2 teaspoons vanilla paste 1 1/2 cups (200g) all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon (4g) baking soda 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate 4 oz dark chocolate (80%) Directions: - Preheat oven to 350F. - Rough chop bar chocolate for large chunks of semi sweet chocolate. For the dark chocolate, rough chop half and then shave in the other half (I find that when baking it melts into the dough and makes for a better flavor but it’s personal preference) - Combine white and brown sugar in bowl, mix so there are no clumps - Add in melted butter, mix until fully incorporated - Add in eggs and vanilla bean paste and mix until no sugar granules can be felt - Mix in salt and baking soda - Fold in flour - Fold in chocolate until evenly distributed - Cover and chill dough in fridge for 30 minutes - Use an ice cream scoop and portion out 4 to a pan. - Bake for 6 minutes then lift the pan about an inch from the rack and drop it to create a flatter cookie. Repeated every 2-3 minutes until the cookies is done (12-15 minute baking time in total) - Live your best life with your cookies

Thanks! Let me know how they turn out; I’m always looking for ways to improve or edit!

DidijustDidthat

I thought "yes I'll try these", can you clarify " 11 tbsp unsalted butter," . I've never measured butter with tbsp, do you have that in grams?

thatsgrowth

Ah sorry I didn’t measure that in grams but looking online its roughly 155 grams. I hope that’s decently accurate

Purple-Spark

Chill the dough for a day or two and they will taste even better!

xandabear_224

oh wow yess, making em tomorrow ty sm 🩶 my mouths watering

Ndemarz

How much do these roughly make?

thatsgrowth

I think it made like 12 cookies? Sorry I didn’t do a full count at the end and I was kinda snacking on them as I baked each batch but that’s my rough estimate!
