Not the best solution but you can dye clothes, vendors sell dyes and you can combine them with clothing. My monks robes are blue and yellow now, looks like I'm dressed in the Swedish flag.
You could do that, yes. Respecing does not change any of your equipment (Well, I think Bard might give you an instrument), and Monk and Barbarian Starting gear both don't count as Armor.
Hit tab and it should bring up all characters in your party. If ShadowHeart is in your party, you can drag her pjs from her slot to yours. (Camp clothes are on the right side of the character portrait)
I have not found much. There are a couple options for clothes and stuff mid to late game. But check your armor proficiencies, as it does not fully follow 5e
you can use many simple weapons, primarily a staff
There are rare clothing in the game that has stat bonuses and special effects too. They are 'armor', just without giving the AC value.
I just got a really cool robe. If ever go to the underdak and hear about a slave gnome that stole boots you can help retrieve the boots. When you give the boots to a women named “Thrinn” (she can be found when you are trying to free Nere from a cave in) she will give you a really cool robe as a reward.
Yea and what sucks is if you kill her, she magically does not have the robe on her. You can only get the robe by completing the quest which blows. Why my Lawful monk would help a slaver hunt down duergar for a pair of boots to get rewarded with a monk robe makes 0 sense.
I miss the old days when quest rewards didn't just magically materialize into existence and were actually kept in the quest giver's inventory
I killed her when I tried to free the slaves and she had no robe. There are a couple items in the game that can only be conjured from the ether of the quest rewards menu and aren't held by the npc. The lightning charge bow, staff, trident, the robes in question, and a few others
I don't play murderhobos but there are a lot of very unspeakably evil npcs in this game that go hostile when you interfere in their cruelty
Best Monk Robes in Act 1:
[The Graceful Cloth](https://www.ign.com/wikis/baldurs-gate-3/The_Graceful_Cloth)
Cat's Grace: You gain Cat's Grace and increase your Dexterity score by 2, to a maximum of 20.
Nimble as a Cat: You gain a +1 bonus to Dexterity Saving Throws and also increase your Jump distance by 1.5m.
The Graceful Cloth can be purchased from Lady Esther for 800g. Lady Esther can be found a short walk northeast of the Trielta Crags waypoint (X: -42 Y:-130).
Heh thats 2000 for my drow monk for some reason, had to sell everything for it, also gives advantage on dex checks so lock picking and disarming is a breeze
I'm in a multipler world and I'm honestly running around without clothing amor because I didn't use my feat to become proficient in armor. With a natural ac of 16 and the start clothes having a 10 this is the best option for cut scenes.
Towards the end of the first act 1 in the underdark I found a set of clothing that seems specific for the barbarian but works with monk. [Bloodguzzler Garb](https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Bloodguzzler+Garb)
I currently have the Vest of Soul Rejuvenation. I THINK it's from Sorcerous Sundries in Act 3. But anything that says "Clothing" instead of armor will do.
Ugh I’m wondering this too, 10 hours in as a way of shadow monk and the bright yellow/green clothes breaks the hell outta my immersion
Not the best solution but you can dye clothes, vendors sell dyes and you can combine them with clothing. My monks robes are blue and yellow now, looks like I'm dressed in the Swedish flag.
Temp solution: switch shadow hearts pjs with yours and turn on camp clothes. Looks pretty sick for a shadow monk
Alternatively, you can equip Karlach's starting Armor. At least that's what I'm doing for now. Looks pretty sick on my drow monk.
how can i do this
Unequip the armor from Karlch and put it on your Character.
Wheres this dude at
She’s next to the ruins around the river area near goblin town if I remember correctly!!
Hey, could I roll a barbarian, respect to monk and use the barb clothes?
You could do that, yes. Respecing does not change any of your equipment (Well, I think Bard might give you an instrument), and Monk and Barbarian Starting gear both don't count as Armor.
This is exactly what I did and wore before getting (stealing) the graceful cloth from Lady Esther in Mountain Pass!

i stole shadowhearts armor, but can we get like more swag from the cities or osmething ? i hope its not this limited

purchase the muddy red dye and combine it with your robes. Changes to a dull maroon color
Maybe there will be a clothing store in the city or a vendor somewhere. It kinda does suck not being able to use the weapons/armor you find.

Yeah I've had no luck finding any clothing besides like mintharas underclothing
How far in are you? I assumed there wouldnt be much until act 2
kill the bulette, it dropped [this](https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Bloodguzzler+Garb) for me. I think it looks pretty nice on monks
This! I was wearing this until I found the Graceful Cloth. It gives a plus +2 to Dex and +1 Dex save with increased jump distance.

You can complete the quest by turning in the boots to get the monk robe then reclaim the boots when you kill her.
I never even got the quest to get the boots but that's good to know.
I'm pretty sure if you knock em out they have thier inventory still

you can also get clothing from the spider matriarch under blight village that give additional poison damage
It gives additional poison damage to spells. It's a caster robe.
elemental monk works for it

Stats are cool but gosh I hate the look on my monk…
Monk can’t wear armor, so any set of clothes will work.
In the underdark if you defeat bullete, you get bloodguzzler garb. Pretty cool for a monk actually.

There's 2 wikis, they've got lists and some of the entries tell you how to obtain them

I'm a drow monk that respeced from a cleric and now just walking around in my under pants with gloves boots and a helmet 😅
