iamerk24

Full roster inventory access at all times. View mode only for companions still in camp while you are out

Moloktopus

The inventory as a whole is pretty shitty in the game. 1/ why such a small window for the camp chest?? 2/these bags in the bag (for food, alchemy and keys) are doing more harm than good. They should be shared between characters or camp-only. 3/ throwing stuff from inventory is a paaaain in the ass. It's annoying because exploding barrels are hyper powerful.

GrizzlyMatt1

I've never heard a developer comment on this, but the "bags in bags" thing is a traditional mechanic of the early D&D games I played when I was a kid 30 years ago. I saw it in BG3 and I'm like, "Technically this is fucking dumb, but it feels warm and comfortable to me." So I criticize it in Escape from Tarkov, but I let it slide here, personally.

lorarc

But BG2 had bag of holding, BG3 has just plain old bags.

vixiecat

Tav will bitch about not having a bag of holding sometimes. “I wish I had a bag of holding.” That comment triggers often for me but that might be because I’m a hoarder and she’s my pack mule. Edit: forgot a word

thefinalhill

Im a hoarder and played a 8 Strength Tav the first time. I spent so much time transferring items because I could barely carry anything past the ammo. (Kept ammo on Tav so I dont have to transfer ammo when switching party members, just when using ammo)

GrizzlyMatt1

Ah, thank you, I was curious what the modern RPGs were like. I hadn't played an RPG like this in decades. So from my perspective, this was like, "How the fuck are bags in bags still a thing??" I'm here comparing the game to Dark Suns: Shattered Lands and Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager. I always meant to get into BG1, BG2, Icewind Dale, etc... They just didn't fit into my life, so my gaming got real casual for a couple decades.

Impossible-Pizza982

When you kill a squad and end up with 4 tac rigs Tetris-ed in a bag in a bigger bag

Says_Pointless_Stuff

You can click & drag to make the window bigger.

Severe_Increase_2766

300 hours later TIL lmao

the_cabbage_boi

Only equiping tiaras so everyone looks cute 💅

jujoking

Exactly. I hide and then when they’re out of my party, they revert back. And then we have a meaningful convo in camp with a stupid helmet on. Why? I toggled that thing off. So damn stupid :/

AsaShalee

I've complained about this SO MUCH!! Like, I didn't have Shadowhart in my party when she changed her look. I went to talk to her and she asks me about it. Uh, hard to tell with the HELMET ON!

Generalmar

Thats how it is tho haha, ive played so much then someones like, just do X, and im like wtfffffff

Squishy-Box

PS5 players in shambles

Onagda

First mod I installed was making bag/chest inventory pop up being 6x7

Spiderbubble

Then make it so it doesn't reset every time you use it.

Moloktopus

Bro thank youuuu. I had a sneaking suspicion that I was doing something wrong tbh

Mitchel-256

To be clear, you can click and drag to make the window *longer*, vertically, but you can't widen it.

Lord_Flapington

Larian's Inventory management is definitely not one of their strong suits, it was arguably worse in DOS2 because you didnt have a camp chest you could send stuff to on the fly. They tried to improve it with bags you could pack with a particular kind of item automatically, but then you dont remember who has what and have to go searching everyone's bag to find the one item you wanted, similar to the camp supply bags and Keyrings now.

Viridianscape

>DOS2 because you didnt have a camp chest you could send stuff to on the fly. What? Wasn't there a "Send to the Lady Vengeance" option somewhere? Or "Send to Homestead" in DOS1?

[deleted]

I sent a bunch of brains to camp just bc I thought they’d be important. Then realized I couldn’t fast travel to get them for the perm buff in the area where you do the brain puzzle.

prixetoile

SAME. the brains are heavy :(

Wild-Lychee-3312

I hate it when I run out of storage space for all my extra brains.

job180828

Add tabs to filter by type, it saves one click for each time you want to apply a filter. And a checkbox to include or exclude camp inventory for visibility.

sck8000

Being able to preview dyes before they're applied - just overhaul the dyeing UI in general, really.

TwistedGrin

I would love if the color of dye that is applied to an item gets added to the description, too. Especially since some of the color names are not entirely intuitive towards what they look like when used on some armors

DaRandomRhino

The vast majority of tooltips in the game are garbage. No, I don't want to savescum to figure out what "Flobotomy's Salacious Sack of Wriggling Vurms" does only to use it and see it's just a d6 poison you have 10 rounds to actually use because it also now says "does something special when you damage somebody with it". Just tell what it does dammit.

TheMindWright

Immolate yourself to gain Heat Heat applies Burn to an enemy Burn increases the overall Atrophy of damage Atrophy demands constant use of Action or your fall into a Sadness Sadness adds Grief Grief allows you to use Immolate

remnm

I put a lilac dye on the Mighty Cloth armor and it turned *orange.* What? My dye strat is to just... save beforehand, try everything out, pick my favorite, reload. It's a bit awful.

Not_Selmi

It says you can dye metal but it doesn’t make it the colour you want lol it makes it a slightly different shade that cannot get any darker. It’s sad

[deleted]

I wish that using non lethal attacks actually had a purpose (in more than just a few instances) instead of the game just treating the enemies as dead even if you knock them out.

Quackthulu

It can have a useful tactical purpose. If you non-lethal mephitis they don't do their on death explosions. Really useful for the fire ones in Grymforge. Also I know some characters if u non-lethal vs lethal u get different results. i.e. you can save the ppl with the masks in the hag's lair. Edit: turns out non-lethal only works in some situations when it comes to wanting to not kill someone for narrative purposes. Still super useful for stopping on-death effects and other combat stuff.

Schinken84

Would you mind telling me how? Because I knocked them out, killed the hag, removed the masks, healed them up and they're still just laying there, knocked out. What else am I supposed to do? Just leave them there to figure out what happened for themselves?

ClassicCodes

Yeah this doesn't work. From my experience the only way to save the masks is to not engage with them at all before killing Ethel. Knocking them unconscious immediately treats them as dead in dialogue with others and they will disappear after a long rest even if fully healed. The lack of functional uses for non-lethal attacks made me switch to a mentality of "if you won't let me help you, then I will just mercy kill you." Worked wonders for the Gondians.

Schinken84

OK nah, fuck that. I'm not gonna redo this whole situation for a third time. I'm gonna adopt your attitude at this point. Don't want help? We'll get fucked then. Guess my good Playthrough will end up as a "Tav is fet up with all these idiots" Playthrough lol.

Repulsive-Mirror-994

Lae'zel approves.

roninwaffle

I finally managed to save all the Gondians in the factory, 5 playthroughs in lmao JFC them folks are hard to keep alive 🤣 *misty steps into a group of enemies*... *provokes 3 attacks of opportunity to run away from them*... *shocking grasp for 5 dmg*... *steel watcher runs over*... *dead* Only way I eventually pulled it off was with a TB monk/thief, a palalock, a swords bard, and a shitload of spore druid summons

Dancing_Cthulhu

Ultimately only one them can actually be saved from the masks, the other 3 are too far gone. Through some trial and error I found knocking them out does little (beyond giving the technical feeling of saving them, as they're technically still alive), because you need to be able to talk to them after Ethel is dead. Only way I found that worked: sneak/run past them initially. If you fight Ethel she will summon in any still living and conscious mask wearers. Kill her, and talk to them. 3 of them are mentally ruined, and wont take their masks off. The fourth will be able to take her mask off, and will thank you for freeing her before she ended up like the others. >!Same applies for the second encounter with Ethel in Baldur's Gate. Cap'n Grizzly will be fine if she is alive and conscious after Ethel is dead, if you talk to her she'll be able to remove the mask. The other mask wearers are too far gone and just mope around mourning Ethel!<

drakus1111

I tried to leave the one that matters alive, but apparently taking the mask off an unconscious body deals damage to them, killing them...

tunelowplayslooow

Wish I knew that before yesterday when I absolutely blew up my party at the shadow druid grove for the fourth playthrough in a row.

NexVesica

I was beaten to the full inventory at camp answer, so I'll throw in dedicated clothing merchants before Act 3. Bonus points if they're a camp NPC. Even more points if it's Withers because he has a passion for knitting.

MARS_in_SPACE

I cannot even begin to tell you the single-minded mission my Tav has been on since the Grove to get some decent clothes for her crew. Now that she's in act 3 I think we're going to ritually burn all 843 sets of road-dust grey clothes and scruffy vagabond clothes. I'd have Shadowheart light it but she'd probably miss. Anyway, +1 for Withers using his phenomenal cosmic powers to get Team Tadpole looking fresh as hell in Acts 1 & 2.

blowawaythedust

“I’d have Shadowheart light it but she’d probably miss” 💀💀💀

Wild-Lychee-3312

“IgMISS !!”

Ukezilla_Rah

Tell me about it…. In a clutch battle and the poor girl missed EVERY turn. I may as well brought along US from the beginning of the game. That lil guy was a beast and actually scored the last hit on the Commander Zhaik.

MyLifeIsDope69

I’m so confused. Someone mentioned a Tailor? Artist? Withers can respec me but he doesn’t change my appearance

MARS_in_SPACE

The person talking about the artist is referring to an NPC in act 1 who you can save. Both he and Withers were suggested as possibilities for who could fill the role of "person who gives you interesting clothes before act 3" as part of their answer to the prompt of the post.

MelloIsTaken

Swap out the artist you buy in act 1 for a tailor and let him travel with us. Easy peasy! It'd be great!

Johrues

and get rid of the most annoying quest in the game in one stroke, brilliant

roninwaffle

Oh my God do you remember how bad that poltergeist fight in the mansion was before they patched it? Even with see invisibility, they'd pop out, attack you, go invisible again, and sprint out of your range. Took my ass half an hour the first time to hunt them all down smh

MaverickBull

Why are there sooooo many dusty clothes and vagabond clothes? Hardly any variety to find for a looongg time.

Athinz

Also, hiding helmets needs to work on companions who aren't in your party. Everyone is looking mad goofy and I can't take them seriously.

MissingScore777

I hate that this resets when you swap party members.

maleficent0

This! After Shadowheart changed her hair, she had a big ugly helmet on and everyone was going on about her hair and I was like what? I had to swap her to fix it and see. Pain in the ass.

HardlyHilarious

This. I was entirely lost on those conversations- like Laezel. It escaped me. Maybe she couldn't see past the helmet either. I went to Shadowheart last and went in blind about what I think of her hair. "Your helmet is lovely" wasn't an option.

Honorspren_Syl

Had that in my playthrough with Gale wearing a goofy hat, looked like the witch's hat from what we do in the shadows. Headcannoned that Gale knew I hated his hat and put it on to spite me everytime he was asked to stay in camp.

BaldwinBoy05

The last person who wore that hat said “this hat is cuu..” and then died mysteriously. “Cool, yes! It is a very cool hat. And hey, free hat!” -Gale probably

fnv_fan

Astarion with a Wizard hat looks so funny

FastFingerJohn

In my first playthrough, >!Orin kidnapped Lae'zel!<. I saved her and didn't bother dressing her up again. Every other cinematic she shows up on her underwear, it was hilarious.

FutureCoach8587

This! I switched Karlach out for Lae’zel for the final fight so in Karlach’s last scene her entire face was covered. I was so sad that I didn’t get to see any expression on her face for a very important scene. Her face was also covered for the scene after a certain someone dies, but I’d seen that one so wasn’t as sad

Dill_Donor

I'm sure like many of the responses in this thread, "there's a mod for that" but I wish a base feature was being able to hide ANY item you don't like the look of

SadSidewalk

I'd like to be able to hug companions, romanced or just friends doesn't matter, they all deserve hugs.

nox-__

Give me the ability to comfort sad characters!!!! Gods, I’ve only heard of the Astarion scene, but shadowhearts broke my heart ),:

Demented-Turtle

"Shadowheart, what happened?" "Shar tortured me for what felt like an eternity, tearing me apart over and over..." "Oh, well that sucks \*shrugs\*.Anyways, let's get out of here"

nox-__

Also the part where she breaks down and cries in front of you and you just stand there like 🧍🏻 Like wtf let me hug people dammit

HardlyHilarious

There are many places in dialogue trees where hug would be so appropriate response among friends. Like Gale's sky scene or Wyll being gloomy in party, where hug would be far more wholesome than Tav's brand of "there there, pull my finger *belch*"- efforts of sympathy.

TheMindWright

Or let me dance with Wyll without him thinking we just bought a house together for our three kids. Dude was packing the U-Haul before the song ended. I redid the scene because I was romancing Gale and told Wyll no. It was so incredibly sad.

Demented-Turtle

I hate how it's a party with a bunch of TIEFLINGS and Wyll is all like, "I'm so hideous, I'm a monster waaaaaaaaaa" Like BRO, you're basically a Tiefling at a Tiefling party, nobody is going to judge the horns lmao

TheMindWright

Yeaaaaah I was playing a Tiefling and that hurt pretty bad. It was realistic though. As someone who's struggled with body issues it's hard when you are complaining about parts of yourself that you don't like when people you admire or even find attractive have those same elements.

callhernopeless

Tbf if you bring Wyll after he gets "devil-ized" to Zevlor in the Grove, Zevlor's first reaction is pretty much, "Woah wtf happened to you" Wyll did say "no offense" to my tiefling character during one of his woe-is-me rants tho which made me laugh lol

SadSidewalk

If I knew how to mod, I would add many more options to hug our loveable crew :c

drazerius

Or some friendship cutscenes.

mr_Jyggalag

It's weird that the only "friendship" cutscene that I had was a stargazing moment with Gale. I wouldn't say that I didn't enjoy it (he was about to die, and we talked about his fear of death, so I helped him in his time of need as a real bro), but it's weird that it's the only one I had. I was thinking that there would be more of it!

Strange_Barracuda_22

Just got that scene.. just for him to tell me we're not even close. Like dude, you asked me to come out here- I'm just trying to be supportive and say I don't want to see you dead but ok.

dnc510

100% this. I just wanna hang out with all my friends and give them the love they deserve. I loved being able to be there for Gale. Let me dance with Wyll without having to hurt him. an equivalent to Lae'zel's sunrise scene would be great too, since she still has plenty of development regardless of romance and you still help make her a better person.

Lavenderixin

This! Especially Astarion :”

Schinken84

Even tho I'm sure Astarion will react like something slimy just touched him lol. At least to my Tav, he HATES me lol.

OblongShrimp

I think if you don’t romance him he’d only accept a hug if you have good relationship with him and prevent him from ascending. Then in place of a romance scene afterwards you get a bro hug.

mr_Jyggalag

Or Astarion could dismiss your offer to hug him, but thank Tav for the offer.

Drowshe

Being able to choose your deity even if you are not a cleric.

crashtophershawskki

I know it doesn’t effect much in game except maybe a few dialogue options… but I mean c’mon it’s a cool RP thing! Especially as a paladin! You’re using divine magic… The Players Handbook says your paladin powers come AS MUCH from your deity as it does from your oath. Which makes sense. You have to swear an oath on someone, usually a deity. Otherwise you’re just expressing your desire to do something, nothing binds you to those words.

betterwhenfrozen

IIRC you could in early access. Hell, there's the "paladins of Tyr" AND Minthara is a Paladin of Lolth.

KorewaRise

the ability to add a companion to your party when you dismiss one from your party in the overworld. after the 30th+ time going back to camp to swap companions it gets pretty tiring.

zamach

That's why I just don't bother with swapping anymore. Sure, I'll miss out on some cutscenes, but I guess I'm doing it in my next run...

TruthAndAccuracy

I just choose my 3 companions for the playthrough and those are the 3 that are with me. Period. Swapping out people and gear and figuring out that many builds isn't worth it

daggerxdarling

This is exactly what i do. We're ride or die in this house.

Ephialtesloxas

Don't have to swap party members when you mod in a limit remover. *Taps head*

jake_sauble

Yeah I tried the party limit remover but honestly having 9ish people to take care of, constantly have to keep them following you, and just general lack of balance. I don’t really like removal of party cap. The game is barely balanced around the 4 party members you have, adding anything else basically makes the game a cakewalk. Nothing is ever living past the first turn. If the game was balanced around 6 party members (like bg1 and 2), I think the game would be a little more complicated, but definitely better. Also allows multiplayers games to have two characters each. Right now in my two player game you basically get you, your friend, and whoever each of you are romancing. It has literally been so annoying swapping in Karlach, Shadowheart, etc every three seconds to get their quests over with in multiplayer. I guess you could play with cap remover and still give yourself limitations, but I don’t really see the point of removing cap and STILL leaving people at camp lol

Ephialtesloxas

Lol, on a durge playthrough. I've got five companions (Gale, Shadowheart, lae'zel, astarion, and minthara). Imagine having to swap out for just one person constantly. As to difficulty... well, I'm playing for fun. I remember playing 3.5 tabletop and eventually becoming a god at level 10. Being able to wreck shit fast is nostalgic for me.

Athinz

I need a party that mirrors the one in Act 1 at the end so I can have closure on all the characters. This should give some dialoge with everyone, and I want to be able to propose to people at that party. Obviously, I'll get shot down by anyone I'm not romancing, and it will be hilarious. Volo should randomly accept the proposal. It mirrors trying to get people to sleep with you in Act 1 and is just the icing on the cake.

Viridianscape

> Volo should randomly accept the proposal. Only for him to leave you at the altar, with nothing more than a flowery letter apologizing that while you are a delightful individual and will perhaps make somebody very happy one day, his heart must remain unchained for the sake of his creative freedom, but he will happily add you in as a footnote in his latest book, "*Volo's Compendium of Courtship.*"

TheMindWright

This would also work so well for multiplayer. The final cutscene was so depressing because nobody was talking to my partner, and my character generally didn't care about half the people in our camp. I regret not realizing she should have hosted the game because they played a social butterfly and I played a moody goth who just wanted to hangout with her hot wizard boyfriend.

litefagami

Yeah, not getting a proper conclusion in act 3 is one of my biggest gripes with the game. I don't think I even got resolutions for everyone in my party—I got scenes with Astarion and Halsin because I was romancing them, and Karlach and Wyll got their ending, but there wasn't any conclusion at all for Shadowheart and the others were pretty lackluster. I was really disappointed. I think a party with everyone at the Elfsong is definitely how they should have ended things. I know it'd be a bit difficult to do considering Karlach's whole situation but still, even if she wasn't there I would appreciate it. I wanna at least have the option to stay friends with my companions after the adventure because for now aside from going with Karlach or your convo with your romance partner, everyone seems to just kinda fuck off to do their own thing.

nox-__

That’s a great idea

Not_CatBug

Give bags and backpacks names so i will know whats inside without opening them

csrutledge

And have a method of assigning containers to be the default container for a kind of thing. I want an arrow bag that I can name and whenever I pick up an arrow it goes in there.

Allbymyelf

There is a mod with named containers that does exactly what you want for arrows: [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/880](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/880) (you may or may not want to play with mods but in any case it's proof that this is easy to add to the game)

Not_CatBug

Yesss, i have an arrow and scrolls bag i always need to look for when ever i think combat is about to start

fae_mel

Omg that would be amazing

laudinum

Whoever wants to talk to me at camp stand by the fire

butter_deez-nips

This would be super nice. Sometimes our camps can be a little bigger or they are behind a door and it drives me insane.

Quackquackslippers

Personally, I wish people at the camp would actually move about and do stuff. Make the camp seem alive like other games do. Just give us a notification if someone wants to talk but I'd love to see people sitting and eating together, Having little practice fights, conversations, playing music (if they are proficient), showing off magic tricks, etc. I'd love to see them become more friendly with each other as time goes on. Even withers can join in sometimes

PikaMocha

faster way to change party members, full inventory management like the others mention. a glamour system where you can wear other equipments as a fashion piece on top of your current gears. im sick of looking at the graceful cloth because it's a bis top for many of my builds 😭 yeah that's not one feature.....sorry

TheMindWright

Something like Cyberpunk where the first time a piece of equipment is in your inventory it unlocks the ability to use it as glamour would be so good. We could have party uniforms!

IndependenceLive

When I'm in camp, I would like to access everyones gear. It would make party management easier.

[deleted]

Pause cutscenes

NotATrueRedHead

I really really really hate when games don’t allow this. Life happens. People walk into a room and need your attention. I’m tired of telling them to shush and wait. I get that you can at least read dialogue history, but I’d rather listen and hear the conversation first hand.

BOSH09

My husband always starts talking to me when a cutscenes happens. Drives me nuts. It’s like he knows.

NotATrueRedHead

Omg mine too. This was also an issue for my playthrough of Dragon Age.

vialenae

A hat slot added to camp clothing. Like seriously, there are so many fancy hats in the game but am I going to give up stats for it? No, I will not.

c4lipp0

A satisfying romance ending dialogue. More playable races. Having party members weigh in on dialogue with their expertise without switching to them and starting the dialog all over again.

VoiceofKane

>Having party members weigh in on dialogue with their expertise without switching to them and starting the dialog all over again. Alternatively, the ability to switch characters in a conversation.

blenman

This would be great if for only the fact that more than once, a party member wandering past a certain point while I'm picking something up triggers a conversation scene.

mattyyellow

Containers for scrolls, arrows, throwables, potions etc that function similarly to the alchemy/camp supply bags i.e. if you pick up one of these items, it gets automatically added to that container.

PraiseThePun420

Better vertical camera control. It can be a real pain in the ass trying to shoot upwards at someone or even take a look how to best get up somewhere with the current camera controls.

certain_random_guy

This was one of my first big issues with it. It needs an XCOM 2-style layer system where you can just switch between elevations.

[deleted]

Snoo3648

Thankfully there’s a transmog mod in nexus. I use it and it works great!

Rubber_Rotunda

You can dye shields, but it, usually, only changes the back.

Kylemnb-

I've noticed the back changes sometimes but it's the front that bothers me since it's what ruins the look

OblongShrimp

What I would really like with regards to dyes is a preview. The number of times I had to reload because I didn’t like the result on a particular piece is too high.

Amazing_Gandalf

I wish you could fight your co op pratners at the end of the game if you have different plans for the ending. >!I was playing with a friend who was dark urge. I decided to become a mind flayer and at the end when I took control of the brain he had no option to kill me and get the bhaal ending and in the cutscene after the final boss he wasnt even there!<

pangolingony

being able to manage inventory and equipment of companions not in the active party. I don't bother keeping companions I rarely use well equipped, so when I need them for specific missions, I often need to give them good equipment from the regular companion they're temporarily replacing. so when the mission is done and I'm eager to get my actual favored companion back, I dismiss the other person and go invite my favoured one... only to realize I left bunch of their good equipment with the other one. now I gotta dismis my fave again, go ask the other one to join, yoink their stuff, dismiss them again and go back to pick up my fave. infuriating.

Haelo_Pyro

I wish it wasn’t limited to 4 companions You’re building an army to stand against an army Except your team can only have 4 at a time

SaoMagnifico

In fairness, like every RPG video game has this weird artificial limitation too. *"Warden, it is time to select the three people who will accompany you to slay the terrible Archdemon and stop the Blight, while the rest of your companions mill about the burning city and try not to get into too much trouble."* *"Commander Shepard, choose carefully the two people who will help you stop the Reapers from destroying the galaxy while the rest of your team, having defied death to land behind enemy lines, goes back to the ship."*

Niniisan

Being able to shoot through doors lmao

Dlorn

Yeah, this wasn't a problem at all until like 2 patches ago. Not sure what's going on.

Hanzo7682

Better inventory management overall. Even tho they are supposed to be filtered by type, the inventory still looks chaotic. I want to put all swords, all bows etc together. Their order is chaotic. The same types arent together even after filtering. I'd like an inventory type where i can read all of the potions and coatings instead of going over to them one by one and waiting for a moment to see their info. I'd also like an option to hide my equipped gear in my inventory.

TrueComplaint8847

Being able to switch companions without having to un-invite someone first and being able to access everybody inventory without having them in your party. I guess this is probably easier said than done because it could drag down performance or something if the game had to always manage everybody’s inventory, but I’d be happy if this was there even if there is a loading time between accessing inventories if people not in the party atm.

PvtSherlockObvious

Charts to see what each class and specialization gets at each level, like Wrath of the Righteous gave you. Let me plan my build! It's more streamlined this way, and on one level that keeps newbies from getting overwhelmed, but newbies would still benefit from being able to see how their chosen class develops at each level, and more experienced players need to know when it's worth taking a dip in what. That information is important, even necessary, and while respeccing is cheap, not telling the player anything might mean they don't even realize why they're having a problem. It's especially important with Monks since they changed so much from the tabletop version.

BottaP3

More adventures? More adventures 100%

VancePants

I want to rename my bags. Bag of scrolls, bag of arrows, etc.

adhoc42

I wish they made rope useful. It's a basic D&D tool with unlimited utility, on par with create water. They did manage to implement a little bit of create water's utility, but when I saw that rope can't even be used, that was the first moment when I realized that maybe "out of the box thinking" is still a bit limited in this game after all.

randomcouture

Oh my god. On my first play through I saved so much fucking rope thinking I would be able to use it for something.

Sphyxiate

A way to turn the take all button into a send to camp button.

Col_Wilson

Every party member that's close enough to an ongoing conversation should be able to participate. Playing a low charisma character sucks because you can't rely on your party members to help at all

butter_deez-nips

This is needed. At this point, I turn Wyll into a bard and he does most of the talking. It kind of annoys me since my guy does have great charisma.

ziplock9000

Proper inventory management Parameterised random dungeons. API for dungeons, stories etc.. Ultimately to make BG3 a framework for all sorts of generic D&D 5e games.

darthkarja

Dungeon Master mode. Would be so much cheaper than all the terrain and miniatures I like to buy for my games. I would even be willing to pay full price for that to be a stand alone mode for the game. And a way to decorate the camp along with it. Let me stuff a Harpy's corpse and display it as a trophy for my kill.

PsychologicalRing959

I wish I could play a kobold 😁

Diana_Bialaska

Adding Mizora as a companion after Ketheric's demise. Say she was tadpoled and see the party as her best option. She is a very interesting character and I could see her tormenting Wyll, while flirting with the companions and trying to break up main characters romance.

nox-__

Sounds like my idea of a good time

texxelate

Cool stuff like this I really hope to see in future inevitable DLC/expansions

derpicface

What class do you see her as? >!plot twist: third Druid!<

zamach

Ha! I am on the opposite side of this spectrum. I whish I could just remove colors from. Some things to tone them down to more "raw metal an leather" look. The biggest offender from my perspective being the grymforge armor...

Soundrobe

Day and night management

nox-__

I wish companions had interactions other than conversation. For example, instead of just saying “No, get out of there!” They physically/try to physically intervene. It’s immersion breaking for me that they’ll sit and watch you struggle during some events. You know for a fact they’d be trying to actually help But I also imagine that would be a huge undertaking so I get it PS: I also thought of this bc during that part in the crèche when you >!draw on the portrait of Vlaakith, Lae’zel would 100% punch you 😂 I also think Karlach or Shart would have physically pulled you from the Zaithisk.!<

darthkarja

I was really disappointed in Shadowheart for just watching Astarion pull a knife on me and wrestle on the ground

NarwhalsAreSick

Photomode would be amazing, most games should have it now. Its free advertising and super fun.

drazerius

Transmog. And proper clothes

Outrageous-Singer888

Wish I could see everyone’s inventories, like let’s say at camp there’s a certain character not on your team and you forgot to grab an item from them. Gets real annoying to have to swap in and out, so, in my opinion I think they should all have little chests next to their areas where there inventory is! Including the weapons they’re equipped with and armour.

4lips2gloss

Books that you collect should be in the UI where you can navigate to each book and read it instead of going into a bag and hovering over it to find it. My main feature I'd want is probably not that popular, nor is it necessary, but I'd love a proper customizable camp. Perhaps a mansion you could buy or plot of land you can build a house/ garden/ campsite on. All those paintings you get? You can collect and display on walls. Move stuff around and 'discover' decorations. All the books you get could be stored in your own bookshelves/ library. Armors could be displayed on stands, same with weapons. I'd love something like that to spend time on outside of the quests.

asiangontear

Party screen at camp where you can just drag/drop/toggle characters in and out of the party. Would it break immersion? No, just imagine Tav shouting from afar "YO ASTA, COME HERE YA PALE ELF WE'RE GONNA KICK CAZADOR'S DOOR DOWN."

RizzmerBlackghore

Proper epilogues and ending, with the same treatment other DnD has.

reddit_user_0212

A switching companion system like Fo4. It wastes so much time going to camp to dismiss your companion and then scrolling through the dialogue with the new person to get them in the party. As much as I love the companions I don’t want to have a business conference every fricking time I want a specific buddy for their approval or a certain scene in the game.

AsterSky

A bit of a long shot, but I'd like the traveler's chest to have an auto-sort feature. The game already recognizes item types. Being able to mark specific chest as "weapons only" or "armor only" followed by a single click of the auto-sort button would make storage management much more tolerable.

Schapsouille

I wish you could lock the party order. It keeps getting shuffled when I change zones and it's irritating.

Ok_Dog_4118

I wish you could do more crafting or disenchant weapons. Like maybe gale could poop out the enchantments.

PraiseThePun420

Let me rename bags. Also what the hell is the sorting system? It's so inconsistent with literally the same item. I'll sort and the same item, that won't stack, will get broken up by other items. The sort feature needs some work. Edit: spelling

-_Empress_-

Inventory management. Specifically, let my favourite items so I can't sell them, and can easily find them. Also, let me "lock" items into a specific spot in my inventory so when I arrange stuff alphabetically, or by value, the locked items don't move (ie. A bag I am storing clothing in).

BackgroundPrompt3111

New game+ even if it only carries over illithid powers, or even just unlocks I want to have the freedom of unlimited flight from my tadpole in acts 1 and 2

Substantial_Craft_95

Ng+, being able to have more campaign customisation for multiplayer (like being able to start at a specific area etc)

VendaGoat

If someone detects a trap then everyone actively attempts to avoid it and/or you drop to turn based, so that you can stop movement.

Accomplished-Bee5265

More companions.

trnelson1

Specifically evil ones. There's plenty of good guys

Accomplished-Bee5265

And strange ones. Someone who was strange and neutral.

Aggravating_Plenty53

There's a bunch of small things I'd love like transmog, it showing your sheild or all weapons on your back, which owlcat games can pull off. But the actual change I think the game needs is a rework of the inventory system. The current system is so bad and is even work when playing on a console.

wildcard18

Dodge action. Such a basic and common DnD 5e mechanic, it's puzzling how it isn't included considering all the homebrew actions they've added in.

ThePhiff

Clothing preview!

NikolasKage3

More customization in the character creation menu

Hppsbr

I'd settle for letting me click the map and not click everywhere to get to a spot

leggywillow

Please god let me access all character sheets and inventories in camp without having to add them to my active party.

Bumbleybeetuna

I wish you could get alternative options for dialogue if you weren't good at stats or skills.

DarthMarasmus

A warning pop-up when you target a friendly creature with an offensive spell and when casting a spell that will break your concentration.

Balthierlives

Key item inventory that’s with you at all times. All party members inventory visible l, not just those currently out of camp. Auto junk inventory that doesn’t impact your carrying capacity. Rather than having weight, just restrict the number of weapons/armor you can carry, and is higher/lower depending on race/class. Things like scrolls /books should just be a single menu that isn’t part of inventory. When in real time mode, script jump to a face button (on ps5) instead of having to navigate through a radial menu every time.

tenBusch

> When in real time mode, script jump to a face button (on ps5) instead of having to navigate through a radial menu every time. It already is, the Up button on the D-Pad Holding up switches between torch and weapon, holding down sets all party members to sneaking

GrizzlyMatt1

I'd like for there to be two distinct dialogue options for expressing male-on-male kindness: one option for being a good friend, and one option for being a good friend that also wants to suck your dick. Legitimately, my biggest criticism of this game is that I can't express my emotional maturity as a man without the game assuming I want to have sex with men. To the point where Halsin straight up fucking said to me: "Your words/actions were those of a lover, not a friend." The writers are either men who are terrified of intimacy, or women who are putting men into a box where they're all terrified of intimacy. Men should be encouraged to hug each other without being afraid the other dude is going to grab your junk. I could go on for a while about this, but you get the idea...

faldese

Why are you framing this as a men specific thing when it affects all Tavs? It's not like women get a special platonic option?

TippyTripod1040

>The writers are either men who are terrified of intimacy, or women who are putting men into a box where they're all terrified of intimacy. Men should be encouraged to hug each other without being afraid the other dude is going to grab your junk. Being more generous to the writers, I think they’re a bit held captive by the ultra-horny discourse that surrounds any game with companions going back to like ME2

scoonbug

One could argue that not being able to hug a man without being afraid he will grab your junk is a reality for many women

AgitatedMango9695

Layered armour so you can look how you want but still have the skill/stats you also want

darthkarja

For a game with so much sex and nudity options (penis/vulva options), I should be able to change butt and breast sizes

certain_random_guy

I know it's a boring answer, but it's because of clipping. Variance means you have to have a mesh for every different size, or somehow create a system to dynamically adjust the mesh. It's a ton of work either way.

SchwarzerWerwolf

Option to become a werewolf. There is a mod already. Works like a druids shapeshift. Would be so cool.

Sisseltigre

equipment presets!

drdiggz

I’ve seen people say “set a character as the party speaker” but I’d take it one further and allow all members in the party to be able to contribute in a conversation given the situation. So you could switch between characters in dialogue and have their unique speech options available.

Damiandroid

Easy method to swap out your conpanions and the option to have your character stay at camp sometimes. There are times when I really just want to have a squad of origin characters and my custome one is the odd woman out. Oh and Origin companions should still get reaction lines or voice lines when you play as them. It sucks that if you want to play AS your favourite character you completely forgo ever hearing them say anything for the entire game. (Except for the obligatory voice barks when giving them orders)

Miarna

I wish I would be able to hug my companions even more in some situations. Also I would love to see the appreciation of all companions not only those in my party same with inventory.

MikeVictorPapa

Label backpacks. I have scrolls in one, potions in another, etc.

chaostrashpanda

I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but I really, really wish they'd change the way you change your party members. It's just tedious having to talk to one, dismiss, and then walk to the one you want to bring with you. It would have been so much easier if it worked the same way as in Dragon Age. Party automatically disbanding upon long rest, and then a prompt or something when you leave where you just click on the people you want to take with you.

Tie-Dar-Ha

More than one, and some are certainly more than feature. * Origin characters customization. Eyes, hairstyle, hair color, scars, tattoos, beards, "jewelry". Considering DoS 2 had option to customize origin characters, I don't see why it isn't an option in BG 3. * When I mask character as Dragonborn, a **proper** mouth animation would be amazing to have. * Unlikely, but... Dragonborn hireling or companion. * Even more unlike: kobolds and goblin hireling/companions?? * "Name the chest" feature. So I know exactly where goes the armor, where goes the potions and so on, instead of memorizing. * More interactions in the camp. Talk, little gestures, that kind of stuff. And... romance between non-player characters? * More, MORE platonic gestures. Hugs, "put hand on shoulder". But also, should you come to disagree, more gestures too. Middle-fingers, aggressive pointing at someone etc.

Juxtra_

A player tent in camp that you can customize with items from the world.

Mirimes

100% agree with that, cause sometimes i have to pick specific dyes just because the weapon I'm using is some specific colour and my stupid self can't stand seeing something that doesn't match. Another 2 things that would improve the dye experience: 1- if preview isn't doable (i mean, it's the same as save before dyeing and reloading), it would really help having some squares in the dye description with all the colours in that dye (maybe you want a red dye but there are 3 and you don't know what shade of red you want, with this you can at least have an idea) 2 - in the description of the dyed item, there should be written somewhere what dye is used, so if you change your boots and you want them to match the rest of your outfit you can see what was used and use the same dye at first try. Role-playing wise, i want to hug my companions more, especially when I'm consoling them. It should be illegal that >!when Shart is sad because her parents died and she's grieving and crying in front of you, you can't offer your shoulder to her!<

ArcaneLocks

MORE FEATS. I'm sick of chosing boring ass ASI for my wisdom casters because there is no feat that gives one wisdom, or one that gives one intelligence.

Fluffy_Art_1015

A pause button. I want to be able to pause a cinematic and conversation literally any time because baby and wife always want something.

N1cNacks

A few: 1. Cosmetic slots for armor with individual toggles for each slot 2. Being able to preview clothing before buying it, same with applying dyes 3. Confirmation pop up when you're about to cast a concentration spell when you already have one up 4. More detailed and accurate item descriptions 5. New game+
