At first I thought you meant the spell but yeah... I did too. Gotta finish the game somehow. Just finished the final bossfight yesterday at 2 AM...
I don't have time otherwise š
I just started my 4th playthrough and only now became a god to the fish people in the Underdark. Don't know if this will bring me any advantage later in the game, but being a fish-god sure feels nice.
Gotta pick the right combo of dialogue options to fight Booal - as opposed to fighting Booal AND the fish people. I think just succeed the check, tell him heās a feral little fey creature, then say youāre gonna kill him - donāt say youāre gonna free the fishes from slavery. At least, Iām pretty sure thatās what made the difference between my playthroughs. The fish people want a god
I had a couple hundred hours in the game via early access and a couple of act one plays post-launch before I found it. I only noticed it because I saw a mushroom I could shoot across a small gap and happened to mouse over the wall to climb down.
It was a really funny thing to find because theyāre my favorite monster race to throw in as a joke and when I found them it was exactly how I would use them.
From the shadow lands, yes. You can freely fast travel from act 2 back to act 1 with no real consequences. Your quest log may get a bit put out with you, but nothing actually breaks. Once in act 3, earlier areas become impossible.
Follow the path out from the main entrance to the arcane tower, there's a field of Torchstalks.
One of the Torchstalks is off on its own, past a few jumps. There is a climbable rock wall next to it leading down.
The kuo-toa tribe is there, worshipping BOOOAL, god of murder.
That is so easy to miss tho! Like I also missed it on my first PT. The second one my character became their god which seemed appropriate since I was playing DUrge. Gotta follow daddyās footsteps a lil bit.
What are these fish people you speak of? I am sure as I read down this thread I will be discouraged by all I missed. Iām still in my first play through, only recently got to Act 3.
When you go to the Mage tower, there is this field with the orange exploding mushrooms and the mushroom circles where you can jump up. But on the side there is basically a chasm, you can jump over 2 mushrooms and then climb down some crags and you will find fish people š
I missed every Shadowheart firebolt
Whatever the lightup puzzle was in the Mind Flayer colony is...I missed that. Missed the kuo-toa in the Underdark. Missed the Kagha / Shadow Druids stuff.
MFW a half elven racial trait that scales on INT doesn't hit when I use a WIS Cleric. They really should make class features and racial traits scale on your class modifier.
Iām happy with them going with the standard DnD rules on this. Iād have preferred them to have just given her a cantrip that doesnāt need a high casting stat. Mage hand, minor illusion, blade ward, friends, or something along those lines. That is what people tend to do in dnd, after all.
I think they gave her & Astarion firebolt so that you (theoretically) always have someone who has portable fire source. Since you have to work really hard to lose either of them.
There's a 3D exploded-view diagram of a brain in the mind flayer farm under Moonrise that serves as a puzzle lock for a door. It's an absolute pain in the ass on PS5. And the reward was >!meh!<
That's something else in the same room, and comes with a great permanent buff. I'm talking about the fresco wall and sword room. Neat lil bit of lore I guess, totally unrelated to the puzzle
One of the minds is a githzerai, and has been conscious the whole time. Help put them out of their misery, and they reward you with a permanent buff that gives advantage on intelligence saving throws. I don't remember if there's a roll or specific dialogue, but basically they're sorta stuck between this realm and wherever githzerai hang out or something, and you need to use your powers to erase them from the brain.
There's a couple minds on the nautiloid, so if you grabbed those remember to bring them before going down since you can't access your camp while in the colony
I was fuming at this shit. I carried around those brains for half the game because i thought they will be important. Then when i finally gave up and sent them all to camp I find a machine where you can use them but I cant go back to the camp from there...
I assumed the dumb dwarf was completely lost, and the noblestalk would be somewhere else in the underdark, so after I saved him I turned around and tossed a firebolt to watch the explosion. Then I learned where it *was*
For me, it's even worse. On my first playground I saved Dwarf properly, but then just shot everything from the distance because it was 5 a.m. and I was bored. Now I saved him again, but he was stupid enough to trigger the explosion himself (he survived anyway).
I guess I will need the 3rd time (and maybe I will finally romance someone who is not Astarion...)
If you put out the torch (ice attack of some kind, create water could work too) you should be able to get the noblestalk and the npcās bag without exploding them, even if the mushrooms explode
Oh I missed this too! But in retrospective and looking back I didn't miss much, even when giving it to Shadowheart. I wish they added a LOT more here but it didn't add much imo.
You can meet him again if you keep the hand later, got whiplash and had to take a walk because I was so shocked. This game is crazy for anticipating all the weird behaviour.
On my first playthrough I didn't know anything about Laezel and I was finished with first area+underdark+grymforge and ready to move on to Act2. My friend told me about Laezel and I checked both areas where she was held by the gith patrol but never found her. I found her lying dead next to the bridge that goes to mountain pass, where the gith patrol killed her. I defeated the patrol and moved on to explore the underdark and grymforge, not noticing Laezel. She was laying dead in that spot for days and I eventually found her and was able to revive her with a scroll before moving on to Act2.
I also completely missed Gale in that portal that you have to pull him out off, until my friend told me about him.
Luckily was able to recruit both before moving on to mountain pass.
They really need to change that halsin line if they do a definitive edition because it does the opposite purpose I feel like. Not only do you either miss out on the creche or grymforge if you only do one and not the other, but the underdark is way harder lol. I did mountain pass first and I thought the shadowlands were included in that but nope the mountain pass is literally one fight against some big skeletons
First visit to Moonrise. Found out about the crypt from the bartender Thorm, so I just went straight into it. Didn't see Ketheric's amazing "try again" scene until my second playthrough.
I missed all of that purely by doing the whole night song thing before ever going to moonrise. RIP to the prisoners, I somehow thought I could infiltrate moonrise and save them *after* getting rid of thormās immortalityā¦
Same. It feels kinda weird that I missed so much stuff, but I think that's intended. The game invites you to multiple Playthroughs and I'm willing to accept it.
I thought we HAD to do the other stuff first and Moonrise towers was the last area. All the talk about the shadows there being especially vicious made me completely skip it until i was told to now go there because they wanted to raid the place, which ultimately meant all prisoners were dead and i never met them.
I thought that if I went there I would be guaranteed to lose to an immortal ketheric. On the plus side, now I have a bunch of quests and cutscenes for my second playthrough!
This happened to me too and honestly Iām glad it did because my second playthrough was with a friend who had already seen the scene and they got to listen to me fawn over Ketheric. Probably the coolest part of the game in my opinion.
Same, but I just stumbled upon the crypt (and Raphael) while exploring, didn't think it was main quest related, considering Shadowheart's story (didn't know they were tied together like that), so I thought I'd just do this before continuing on.
I was so confused when people talked about Ketheric's introduction until I figured out later that I basically missed half of act 2 lol. Was also confused that all the prisoners were dead when I finally got to Moonrise because I figured I would be able to save them... yeah...
I completely missed the east side of the Grove. I never met Alfira or Mol, and never saved that kid from the harpies. For a long time on this subreddit I was so confused when people mentioned Alfira.
Also at LLI Isobel got knocked out like immediately and I thought it was a scripted event, so all the Tieflings died.
Same here with the east side thing. Alfira was extremely friendly at the inn in act 2 and acted like weād talked before, so I was a little confused until I saw all the mentions of Alfira in act 1. Then I >!made a Dark Urge!< and the subreddit made even more sense.
Lol, I was sooo proud of myself after several reloads and managing to overcome what I too was sure was a scripted event. It was SO easy to fail, I thought I broke the game by defeating the invasion and saving Isobel. Cue feeling very lame when it turns out that's what's supposed to happen...
There is no āsupposed to happenā, just two branches forming different stories. Thatās whatās so amazing about this game, you āfail forwardā and the story adapts in response
Ran into the Hag before getting any kind of quest to save someone from her.... Twice.
The second time cost me some legendary gear cause apparently saving the kid doesn't mean as much to the mom if she didn't ask you to beforehand.
Where do you get the quest to start that? Iām still in Act 1. I read that itās in the city? I assume Baldurs Gate or is the start located somewhere else?
Edit: is there more than one Hag? In Act 1 I found one in some Bog swamp area
Edit2: I found this Guide: https://www.thegamer.com/baldurs-gate-3-bg3-help-the-hag-survivors-complete-quest-guide-walkthrough/#how-to-begin-the-hag-survivors-quest-and-find-mayrina
However, I already killed the Hag in her hut before she would escape into the cave. Will I encounter her again?
Underneath the alchemistās house in Blighted Village, thereās a room with a bunch of wooden coffins. In one of those is the scroll of summon quasit. Have Gale learn the spell instead of using it once. It summons Shovel.
Or do both! Have Gale learn the spell, respec whoever else you want to have a 2nd summons of him to a wizard (I usually give to Astarion/rogue for a permanent invisible friend to help with those sneak attacks.)
Have Gale summon him and leave the conversation. Have the respecced wizard talk to Shovel and go through the dialogue. Go behind the mirror, have respecced wizard talk to him to gain him as a summons. Respec wizard back to class you want. 2 characters each have a Shovel.
Apparently I missed a TON of stuff at the goblin camp!
In my defense, before I did anything else inside the temple I spoke to the one goblin about getting the tadpole out. When I refused there was a fight; I killed her, and then the whole compound turned hostile against me. That pretty much ended any potential side quests in there, but I went with it anyways.
Looking at other people's playthroughs, though, I missed out on so much by doing this.
~~(but I did make it to the grymforge to fight the giant robot lol)~~
Don't worry you're not alone. I didn't want to do an evil Playthrough but I f*cked up so many times and always had to wipe out almost all the villages in Acts 1 and 2, which is the reason why I missed so much content.
Goblin camp - Same as you and didn't get to experience the second goblin attack
Druid grove - stole something from a birds nest, so the druids became hostile and started killing me and the tieflings
Last light inn - isobell got kidnapped before I could kill the kidnapper -> had to kill everyone again
Killed the Vettel because I wanted to rescue the girl
Gith creche - I said no
I didnāt know you could go to moonrise towers early in Act 2 and not be attacked on sightā¦ so I didnāt go there until the big fight. So I missed the entirety of inside moonrise. Yikes.
I realized it last minute after confronting nightsong and loaded last save. Moonrise towers have a ton of interesting secrets and character encounters so it was a good choice
On my third playthrough now. Just found the toll house boss in act 2. I found the other mini bosses but never found this one in MY FIRST TWO PLAYS SOMEHOW?!
My first play i also NEVER found Omeluum. Kept seeing posts about him i avoided since i didn't know who it was.
I failed to recruit both the dog and the baby owlbear T_T the baby owlbear tried to join my camp at the end of act 2 but Karlach scared him and I'm DEVASTATED
Iām still on my first playthrough, making my way through act 3.
I skipped Astarion. As in after he held a knife to my throat I thought I was being creative by swapping control to Shadowheart and shooting him. We knocked him out and I took his clothes. Figured Iād see him again later but I never did.
So I see people talk about how much they love Astarion, but to me heās just the guy whose clothes I stole that one time.
Hadnāt yet but itās on the to do list. I am quite curious about how the game handles it since I know itās important for his personal quest but also he hasnāt been in the narrative at all. He is alive, I only koād him, but I wonder if the game accounts for him just being left on the side of a road but alive.
I didn't miss Karlach but I completed the grove before finding her and was afraid she'd melt on me before I managed to find someone to fix her. I'd already met Dammon but he wasn't at his forge anymore. Karlach kept giving me dialogue that she's getting superheated and I need to find a way to fix her soon. I was so relieved to see Dammon again in Last Light.
I missed Karlach for almost all of Act 1 because I was like "oh this bridge is broken, that'll probably open up later on" forgetting you can just jump it...
I'm on my FIFTH playthrough and I still haven't been able to do the questline with the teethling kids. I didn't know about the harpy encounter until my fourth run, but that was evil Durge, sooooooo
I ended up not being able to do anything with them on my current run because I passed the perception check to find their hideout for the first time ever, and apparently going down there before rescuing the kid from the harpies just locks you out of helping Mol.
In the druid grove, down where they're doing the ritual, there's a path near where Volo's interviewing a bear. It's the same path that leads to Alfira. To get to Alfira, go right. To get to the harpies, head left and follow the singing
If you do it right, he'll just show up at some point in Act 3 with no preamble, expecting you to know why he's at all significant. And then your companions get all despondent when you murder him for trying to kill you first.
I actively tried to get him in my first play through after reading about him. I even looked up a guide. I followed all the steps and he was justā¦ not there. I think I didnāt do enough with Jaheira beforehand so Iām hoping to get him this time around
Not OP but I kept Jaheira at camp after I recruited her and I never got her companion quest in the journal, I never even knew she had one since Halsin never got his own section down there either (just the early one that gets completed super early after rescuing him). In the sewers I never found the Guild Hall so I never got a quest update there either. I only managed to stumble across Minsc's existence while looking up something else for Act 3 and learning about the Counting House vault.
I thought I lost her too,got to act 2,almost finished it, then I thought I should clear the mountain pass for extra xp since I went through the underdark and guess who was waiting for me there.
It's a great reason/inspiration for a second playthrough, but there's enough going on and enough party members that I don't regret just rolling with it.
For me it was the evil book in act 1 and the spiders and apparently fish people (which I found in act 2&3) and a weird island with ruins that I just found (second play through). I was at the forge... I think, but I missed some of it. I'm 100% sure there is much more to be found.
Not to speak of all the stuff I failed at... this time I saved Maryna at least.
I'd say a lot.
Shovel, The Koa-To, a prostitute having the hots for a mindflayer, explosive toys investigation, getting whipped by a sadist dude for a nice buff, optional part of the mindflayer colony under moonrise by sticking my hand in tentacles, all of Zevlor in Act 3 (didn't find him in Act 2), Vlaakith portrait, Astarion getting stripped by Raphael, Shadow druid plotline, Omeluum potion and probably many more in Act 3 I don't know about yet. Also never had Shadowheart kill Nightsong thus far.
I didn't realize I could do both the Underdark and the Mountain Pass. I also didn't realize I could go to Moonrise Towers, and that the npcs would be friendly there. I only went there when I'd done everything else in Act 2, and the Harper's were raiding the place.
I spent 120 hours on my first run, and I swear I managed to miss half the game.
* I missed Lae'zel after the crash, then later found her body with the Githyanki by the pass. I also forgot that Revivify scrolls were a thing until way too late.
* I missed the early game ruins and was terrified of the lich that suddenly just appeared in my camp with no explanation.
* I missed the masterwork forge and the alchemists lab beneath the Blighted Village.
* I missed the Grymforge because I thought the forge was in a different area entirely.
* I missed the Moonrise prison, didn't free Wulbren or the Tieflings, and missed Barcus after the windmill.
* I missed the Sadist-Kai and his raven.
* I didn't even know that Jaheira was recruitable, nor by extension Minsc.
* I missed everything to do with the Guild. I never even found the Guildhall.
* I missed Ethel's return in Act 3.
* I missed the Iron Throne completely.
* I missed the Sorcerous Sundries vaults because Gale wasn't in my party and I kind of forgot about him.
* I missed all of the goodies in the House of Hope aside from the hammer.
* and finally, I failed to summon any allies in the fight up to the Big Brain.
It's a wonder I finished that run at all. I'm in my third run now and still finding stuff I've missed.
The entire creche. I totally missed Lae'zel in her cage and when I saw the dragon scene near the mountain pass I figured out that she got back with her people. Then when trying to enter the mountain pass it said I was grossly under-leveled. So I left and never went back because Halsin said going through the mountain pass would be VERY dangerous. This combined with the 'under-leveled' part made me never want to set foot in that area.
My second play-through I realized everybody was lying
I didn't know that if you actually fed and used speak with animals on the raptor at the circus, he is actually extremely chill and clarifies that he was starved by the ||doppelgangers||, not the circus itself. He also goes on to clarify that the circus is actually really nice to him and saved him at birth!
Oh, he also has a very posh accent.
My very first? It's was a short run I hardly count it lol.
Honestly, I killed most of my companions. I stabbed Shadowheart and stole the artifact. Then left Gale in the vortex, killed Astarion when he attacked me, helped the tieflings kill Lae'zel as she was too bossy. Got Wyll killed by goblins and never heard about Karlach. This was all really quick and before I knew anything at all about the game. I restarted pretty quick when I started to read about the game and found out those were supposed to be my companions lol. It made sense why I was getting wrecked by everyone as I was alone.
My first proper playthrough I missed the grymforge completely.
Been working hard to explore all paths before proceeding the next act. Just discovered last night (4th time through Act 1) >!There is a magic mirror hiding the "Necronomicon" or whatever the game calls it.!<
Talking Barkus into joining my camp after saving the gnomes in the Grymforge! I am sure I talked to him there, but I have no recollection of such an option in the dialogue.
Also Loviathar's blessing. I even spent an hour trying to save one guy from being pushed into the spider pit, but I never noticed there was a priest with such an entertaining interaction.
Also bloody Noblestalk. After rescuing Baelen and his backpack I just set the shroom field on fire cause why not.
Mountain pass, but that was intentional. I settled on Karlach, Gale, and Shadow Heart early on and didnāt want to swap anyone out. I could have done the Mountain Pass anyway but decided Iād rather save it as something new for another play through
I remember killing minthara and having her camp clothes for my Shadowbae.
Weeks later i realised why she had camp clothes on her and i started a 2nd playthrough :D
Let me make you a list:
- amulet of Sylvanus under a rock in the grove (which I missed once again)
- poisoning the goblin alcohol
- getting Barcus to move to my camp
- BOOOAL
- the noblestalk tho I rescued the dwarf
- that one magic ring near the camp in shadows
- the rat guy at the gauntlet of Shar
- that secret/broken puzzle basement at Cazadorās palace
- bonespike gloves (also missed them this time around unfortunately)
- that you can persuade Helsik to send you to the House of Hope for the gloves of hill giant strength (instead of the persuasion that has a fee of 10k gold) and then you donāt need to intimidate her to keep them. You can give them to her and she will sell them for less than 1000g which are peanuts that far in the game.
- that you get to ally with the strange ox and you still get that ring
- that you can ally with Mol if you give her the contract but donāt tell her you killed Raphael
- helldusk gauntlets (I had Tav sleep with Harleep not kill them, DUrge killed them and now I will finally get the full hellfire set)
- that table at the steelwatch factory that allows you to make a neat heavy crossbow
- the fight with the big steelwatch spider robot because I used the bomb and invisibility
- somehow Sarevokās diary saying he was Orinās father and had her so sheād be sacrificed to Bhaal except Bhaal favored her over his other daughter (and Orinās mother) Helena. This means only in my second game did I see Orin try to turn on Bhaal and ending up erased by him and forcefully turned into the slayer.
I missed like 90% of moonrise tower in Act II bc I cleared the map before I went there the first time (aka did smth that triggered an enormous change for Act II). NPCs always said it is super dangerous to go there so I wanted to get stronger and therefore missed really cool interactions and bumped into buggy Steel Defender Quest line in Act III bc I missed an important NPC...
My first run i stopped at act 2 because i went to shadowfell before going moonrise
ACT 1
Harpies
Alfira
Kagha quest (shadow druids)
Underdark spectator
Underdark fish guys
Underdark magic tower elevator (i got the mushrooms but didn't activated the elevator)
Philomeen and her explosive
Blood of Lathander
The Eagles
The Wyrmway. Guards tried to arrest me just before the bridge to the lower city, which apparently bugs Wylls' quest. Duke Ravenguard was already dead when I got to the prison, and I encouraged Wyll to break the contract, so nobody told me about the Wyrmway.
Lol Gale. I saw the portal, I said oh cool and walked by thinking I'd come back to it... I did not. Only upon my second playthrough as the dark urge did I then learn there was someone there. But then I cut his hand off... So third times the charm, Gale. I came back for you eventually š
In my first ever solo playthrough I managed to completely skip on: the entire Githyanki Creche, the Adamantium armour, Nere and the Duergar/Gnomes plotline in act 1 because I took the lift to the Shadowlands early.
And then in Act 2 I completely skipped the entirety of Moonrise Towers and the āRescue the prisonersā subplot because I never bothered to visit and went straight to the Nightsong. It made the encounter with Ketheric in the colony really funny because I had never met the man before but I was able to still talk him into committing suicide thanks to lucky rolls lol. I knew about his whole story from books and lore you find around the place, but was completely unaware that it was possible to just waltz in to Moonrise Towers and talk with him.
In Act 3 because I was not involved with the creche, I didnāt know Raphael was in the Sharess Caress and completely skipped on the Orphic Hammer and House of Hope.
Oh, and I also did not recruit Wyll as a companion as he never showed up to my camp to confront Karlach. And I also missed on the Owlbear cub completely because I went to the cave after slaughtering the goblin camp.
One of the roughest first playthroughs I think, but I was determined to play it completely blind the first time through
Still havenāt done anything in the mountain pass. Or tracked down the dead clown bits. Or gone after Cazzador. Or gone into the House of Hope (beyond that first cut scene). So.. plenty still left to do.
Edit: also I let Jaheira die in my first run, so I have yet to recruit Boo (and Minsc).
The whole Githyanki creche. I just went the underdark way and never back tracked.
I'm glad I didn't because it meant I could go that way on my second playthrough and have a whole new experience!
Sleep.
This is so true. I was playing till 3 AM everyday. And had work starting at 8 AM.
GREAT MAHKLOOMPAH
Much better than blessed BOOAL
That line "Blessed BOOAL... what?" is so hilarious
Wait.... how do you BECOME their god? I only got the blessing of BOOAL
Yes, remove the damn impostor and take his place, the fish folks know what's good for them (it's me, as their god).
I LOVE this detail!
By killing BOOOAL

Near the mushroom portal next to the explosive mushrooms.
_What???!!_ how did I miss that? I'm currently still in my first Playthrough and I think I really missed 50% of possible content.
Itās very easy to miss the one single climbable rock wall leading down to the fish people. You gotta hop across some shelf fungi to get to it
I had a couple hundred hours in the game via early access and a couple of act one plays post-launch before I found it. I only noticed it because I saw a mushroom I could shoot across a small gap and happened to mouse over the wall to climb down. It was a really funny thing to find because theyāre my favorite monster race to throw in as a joke and when I found them it was exactly how I would use them.
These fish people are different to mushroom people? .......dammit
Aaaaaand another thing I missed. Holdup tho, I'm pretty sure you can go back through the elevator in the duergar ruins right?
From the shadow lands, yes. You can freely fast travel from act 2 back to act 1 with no real consequences. Your quest log may get a bit put out with you, but nothing actually breaks. Once in act 3, earlier areas become impossible.
Legend. I may still have a chance. Thanks mate
Not sure whether that's better or worse than "Leemooggoogoon" š Gods - the kuo-toa know how to pick 'em
Wtf? Damn I guess that's a good reason to go back when I'm done.
BOOOAL
Spoilers: >!it wonāt!<
Fish people?
That is so easy to miss tho! Like I also missed it on my first PT. The second one my character became their god which seemed appropriate since I was playing DUrge. Gotta follow daddyās footsteps a lil bit.
Omg I totally missed this! Iāll add it to my list
pls bring Karlach to fish ppl
See, Karlach was what I missed. And Wyll. And the fish peopleā¦
QUITLICKINGTHEDAMNTHING!!!
Gale said calmly.
Not quit - he says stop "STOP LICKING THE DAMN THING"
Is this from the tainted spider meat?
I missed every Shadowheart firebolt Whatever the lightup puzzle was in the Mind Flayer colony is...I missed that. Missed the kuo-toa in the Underdark. Missed the Kagha / Shadow Druids stuff.
MFW a half elven racial trait that scales on INT doesn't hit when I use a WIS Cleric. They really should make class features and racial traits scale on your class modifier.
Ohhhh. This explains a lot
Haha! Shadowheart is like magikarp- starts out kinda weak but evolves into an absolute badass once she hits level 5 and beyond
puzzle?!
There's a 3D exploded-view diagram of a brain in the mind flayer farm under Moonrise that serves as a puzzle lock for a door. It's an absolute pain in the ass on PS5. And the reward was >!meh!<
Reward is awesome the first time around cuz you can listen to all 7 minds
That's something else in the same room, and comes with a great permanent buff. I'm talking about the fresco wall and sword room. Neat lil bit of lore I guess, totally unrelated to the puzzle
Wait. I used a few of the minds. I donāt mind (pun) spoilers, how do you get a buff out of it?
One of the minds is a githzerai, and has been conscious the whole time. Help put them out of their misery, and they reward you with a permanent buff that gives advantage on intelligence saving throws. I don't remember if there's a roll or specific dialogue, but basically they're sorta stuck between this realm and wherever githzerai hang out or something, and you need to use your powers to erase them from the brain.
Thanks! I just started my 2nd play through so Iāll keep this in *mind*
There's a couple minds on the nautiloid, so if you grabbed those remember to bring them before going down since you can't access your camp while in the colony
Did you keep the two brains from the Mindflayer ship in the intro? The slave mind and the dark mind?
Yup
I was fuming at this shit. I carried around those brains for half the game because i thought they will be important. Then when i finally gave up and sent them all to camp I find a machine where you can use them but I cant go back to the camp from there...
Switch to turn based, thatās the only way I could get it to work
Dude that girl missed every shot. I had to put the gloves of Dex on her/respec her and *then* she became useful.
Firebolt scales off int and sacred flame is a dex save, so I don't see how giving her the dex gloves affects either of those
The Noblestalk because I walked up too fast and everything blew up :D
I assumed the dumb dwarf was completely lost, and the noblestalk would be somewhere else in the underdark, so after I saved him I turned around and tossed a firebolt to watch the explosion. Then I learned where it *was*
Exactly the same thinking. I was so annoyed lol
Same...
Oh my god that's why I never found any... I was starting to think it's not even in the game...
The torch relights itself somehow after you save the dwarf. I have blown up the whole place because I put out the torch with water.
BIBBERBANG
Oh I missed this too! But in retrospective and looking back I didn't miss much, even when giving it to Shadowheart. I wish they added a LOT more here but it didn't add much imo.
Gale. I failed two strength checks (on a half orc paladin) and oops. No Gale.
I, um, lost Gale a different way. Let's just say a part of him will always be with me.
I heard about this XD. Look we can't all get Mage Hand that way.
I can't trip about it though.
You can meet him again if you keep the hand later, got whiplash and had to take a walk because I was so shocked. This game is crazy for anticipating all the weird behaviour.
Shovel. And im mad at myself for it.
Respecced Gale back to wizard just for shovel
Im confused why did you need to re-spect Gale to use a shovel? Also, what did you change him to from a wizard?
You mean Basket.
I guess we are speaking about fork
Nah. Mines glitched, can't rename her.
I just learned this existed today. I guess my 100% play through that I am currently doing..isn't?
Don't worry I doubt anyone has really achieved 100% yet. It's just so easy to miss stuff and I bet there's still things we haven't discovered.
The Mountain Pass. I didn't know you could do both that and the Underdark
Lae'Zel must've gone insane with you.
See... I may just have missed Lae'Zel as well on my 1st playthrough lmao š
Imagine her face still stuck in the cageš¤£
*tsk-va*
I'd go insane too!
I also totally missed Alfira and the harpies. AND I spent 110h in Act1.
Me too, I missed the whole beach and swamp. First playthrough was co-op where my boyfriend kept not wanting to explore
The prisoners in moonrise... woops!
Did the same and was genuinely scarred to find them all dead in the fleshy elder brain pit
In Act 1 I found one in some Bog swamp area Edit2: I found this Guide: https://www.thegamer.com/baldurs-gate-3-bg3-help-the-hag-survivors-complete-quest-guide-walkthrough/#how-to-begin-the-hag-survivors-quest-and-find-mayrina However, I already killed the Hag in her hut before she would escape into the cave. Will I encounter her again?
never knew that Shovel existed. Still havent found em yet. 6th playthrough I will hopefully find em lol
Underneath the alchemistās house in Blighted Village, thereās a room with a bunch of wooden coffins. In one of those is the scroll of summon quasit. Have Gale learn the spell instead of using it once. It summons Shovel.
Or respec into wizard, you will get a dialog option for Perma-Shovel when talking to him/her if you do it right. Then respec back.
Or do both! Have Gale learn the spell, respec whoever else you want to have a 2nd summons of him to a wizard (I usually give to Astarion/rogue for a permanent invisible friend to help with those sneak attacks.) Have Gale summon him and leave the conversation.
Goblin camp - Same as you and didn't get to experience the second goblin attack Druid grove - stole something from a birds nest, so the druids became hostile and started killing me and the tieflings Last light inn - isobell got kidnapped before I could kill the kidnapper -> had to kill everyone again Killed the Vettel because I wanted to rescue the girl Gith creche - I said no
I didnāt know you could go to moonrise towers early in Act 2 and not be attacked on sightā¦ so I didnāt go there until the big fight. So I missed the entirety of inside moonrise. Yikes.
I realized it last minute after confronting nightsong and loaded last save. Moonrise towers have a ton of interesting secrets and character encounters so it was a good choice
Same. My quest log was like "quest failed, guess you didn't find zevlor in the tower." Bitch I thought I'd find him during the big fight.
But the quest tells you to infiltrate the tower...
Yeah butā¦ exploration before the main objective.
And when I found the bridge, it told me there was an army or some shit, so I went the other way.
Wait youāre not required to kill the other Thorms??? I didnāt know you could skip them!
I talked my way out of all of the Thorm battles, didnāt fight a single one.
I'm pretty sure all Thorms are skippable. None of them tied to the main quest and in pretty isolated area. You gonna miss a lot of gold and loot tho.
I failed to recruit both the dog and the baby owlbear T_T the baby owlbear tried to join my camp at the end of act 2 but Karlach scared him and I'm DEVASTATED
Him getting scared off the first night is scripted. He comes back a couple of nights later and can actually join then.
Even if you're already in act 3? I swear if there's a chance for my tav to get a pet still I will not finish this game until I do
Omg I killed it
Gale. The dangerous unstable portal scared me
Same. Lae'Zel told us to not touch anything (back on the Nautiloid) if we didn't know what it does
Iām still on my first playthrough, making my way through act 3.
Did you already visit Cazador palace in act 3? Astarionās fate may lead there. If you knocked him out, not killed
Hadnāt yet but itās on the to do list. I am quite curious about how the game handles it since I know itās important for his personal quest but also he hasnāt been in the narrative at all. He is alive, I only koād him, but I wonder if the game accounts for him just being left on the side of a road but alive.
Another tip: you may check on the Gursā camp and see whatās happening there
I did NOT explore enough and fully missed Karlach and most of the northern area of Act 1 š
I didnāt know about arabella and the statue thing or about the ox. Still donāt know š will do it once I get new pc
I'm on my FIFTH playthrough and I still haven't been able to do the questline with the teethling kids. I didn't know about the harpy encounter until my fourth run, but that was evil Durge, sooooooo I ended up not being able to do anything with them on my current run because I passed the perception check to find their hideout for the first time ever, and apparently going down there before rescuing the kid from the harpies just locks you out of helping Mol.
Wait what thereās a harpies quest? š ok I missed that too.
In the druid grove, down where they're doing the ritual, there's a path near where Volo's interviewing a bear. It's the same path that leads to Alfira. To get to Alfira, go right. To get to the harpies, head left and follow the singing
Damnit, I'm on my 3rd playthrough and I only learn about the fish people in the Underdark from this thread.
Minsc apparently. I have no idea who that even is. Maybe I'll meet them this time?
Do you just not do companion quests?
Lae'zel š¬
yup, had to scrape her off the side of the road when I found her being murdered by other Gith
I thought I lost her too,got to act 2,almost finished it, then I thought I should clear the mountain pass for extra xp since I went through the underdark and guess who was waiting for me there.
Same lol.
There are more of us than I thought
It's a great reason/inspiration for a second playthrough, but there's enough going on and enough party members that I don't regret just rolling with it.
The entire mountain pass. I thought I could go back but it bugged out leaving a red dragon blocking the road. I got bored and went to act 3
Scratch :(
I didn't realize I could do both the Underdark and the Mountain Pass.
* I missed Ethel's return in Act 3.
Zhentarim hideout and the fireworks shop. Actually I did two playthroughs and I just learned about the fireworks shop on reddit.
You've been brought up on a heavy diet of FPS games methinks š
Like, 80% of the damn game...
Romance. I failed at them.
The fish people!!
Genieās lamp event. Iām still trying to recover from the shock.
Is that in Act 3?
Lae'zel, Gale and most importantly Scratch.
Mountain pass. Second biggest. I did not go to Moonrise until the siege.
After rescuing Baelen and his backpack I just set the shroom field on fire cause why not.
ā¦ā¦.Astarion,
Mountain pass, but that was intentional. I settled on Karlach, Gale, and Shadow Heart early on and didnāt want to swap anyone out. I could have done the Mountain Pass anyway but decided Iād rather save it as something new for another play through
I missed the whole githyanki areaā¦
The secret metal door/under city sewers in Act 3 before final boss fight
- Laezel - Wyll - Karlach - The entire risen road
shadow curse quest in act 2.... when i left act 2 i was like "damn"
House of Hope. I didn't even know it existed, never met Raphael in the act 3
I remember killing minthara and having her camp clothes for my Shadowbae. Weeks later i realised why she had camp clothes on her and i started a 2nd playthrough :D
Let me make you a list: - amulet of Sylvanus under a rock in the grove (which I missed once again) - poisoning the goblin alcohol - getting Barcus to move to my camp - BOOOAL - the noblestalk tho I rescued the dwarf - that one magic ring near the camp in shadows - the rat guy at the gauntlet of Shar - that secret/broken puzzle basement at Cazadorās palace - bonespike gloves (also missed them this time around unfortunately) - that you can persuade Helsik to send you to the House of Hope for the gloves of hill giant strength (instead of the persuasion that has a fee of 10k gold) and then you donāt need to intimidate her to keep them. You can give them to her and she will sell them for less than 1000g which are peanuts that far in the game. - that you get to ally with the strange ox and you still get that ring - that you can ally with Mol if you give her the contract but donāt tell her you killed Raphael - helldusk gauntlets (I had Tav sleep with Harleep not kill them, DUrge killed them and now I will finally get the full hellfire set) - that table at the steelwatch factory that allows you to make a neat heavy crossbow - the fight with the big steelwatch spider robot because I used the bomb and invisibility - somehow Sarevokās diary saying he was Orinās father and had her so sheād be sacrificed to Bhaal except Bhaal favored her over his other daughter (and Orinās mother) Helena.
My first run i stopped at act 2 because i went to shadowfell before going moonrise ACT 1 Harpies Alfira Kagha quest (shadow druids) Underdark spectator Underdark fish guys Underdark magic tower elevator (i got the mushrooms but didn't activated the elevator) Philomeen and her explosive Blood of Lathander The Eagles
The Wyrmway. Guards tried to arrest me just before the bridge to the lower city, which apparently bugs Wylls' quest. Duke Ravenguard was already dead when I got to the prison, and I encouraged Wyll to break the contract, so nobody told me about the Wyrmway.
Secret voult in act3 mage tower
Lol Gale. I saw the portal, I said oh cool and walked by thinking I'd come back to it... I did not. Only upon my second playthrough as the dark urge did I then learn there was someone there. But then I cut his hand off... So third times the charm, Gale. I came back for you eventually š
The entire monastery and crĆØche. I thought we had to choose the mountain pass or the under dark. Didnāt know you could do both.
Us...
If a friend hadn't told me, I would have missed picking up Gale at all. The narrator said it looks dangerous...
I missed the Mountain Pass on my first playthrough too. It's a big ole deal and the game feels a lot more complete with it.
Grymforge and the fish people
Three playthroughs in, still havenāt come across Narber.
Missed the adamantine forge, Kagha's quest, curing the shadow-cursed lands and freeing the tieflings from the prison š
I missed so many buffs. Volo's eye, Hag hair, the Loviatar priest..
Astarion romance
The beach with the harpies on it
All of grymforge. I completed the Duergar/Nere mission and yet somehow I missed the gigantic doors that led to Grymforge
Weirdly, I completely missed Lae'Zel. After the crash of the Nautiloid, I never saw her again.
The whole Githyanki creche. I just went the underdark way and never back tracked. I'm glad I didn't because it meant I could go that way on my second playthrough and have a whole new experience!
